The largest update within the regs this week were to Article 11.1.2 which made it clear that any form of asymmetrical brake bias is illegal, it was mostly closing any possible loophole. However, the change itself suggests one of two things, either a team was already using a loophole for asymmetrical brake bias or one of the teams asked to do so in a way that didn't directly involve the brake system. The only thing that really brings Red Bull into play here is that they have had brake problems and problems getting the car to turn in during this rough stretch, you can use asymmetrical brake forces to "brake steer" or induce oversteer. That alone is very far from evidence but even if true wouldn't mean they were cheating just that they were operating in a grey area that has been officially closed. I'm not a Red Bull fan but if this was a few years ago I would have immediately assumed it was Mercedes just because their strengths has generally been on the mechanical side of things compared to say Red Bull's aero strengths.

Checo was accused of lying by Helmut Marko when he had brake problems in Australia last year. Checo didn’t have any issues FP1 and FP2. His team touched the car between FP2 and FP3 and when FP3 came around Checo was locking up consistently, went off the track 3-4 times. Checo asked his team, “what did you guys do to the car, it’s undrivable.” Once Q1 came around he locked up again and went off and didn’t set a time. Checo told his team that it was the same issue with the car that’s they had in FP3. Checo came out to say that his issues were due to braking problems. After the race Helmut Marko came out and accused Checo of lying, and said that it wasn’t a brake issue, but a lack of concentration instead. Seems like this whole asymmetric braking issues goes back a while and Red Bull were trying to hide it. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but it sounds like this was torque vectoring? Regarding the team up between LeClerc and Hamilton, Charles will have an advantage in terms of home territory and qualifying at the start of the season. But if Lewis keeps his head down and performs and if LeClerc makes his usual mistakes, the team will unite behind Lewis. The biggest problem with F1 is that the English influence is still far too big. It needs to be made much more a global sport. Look at the Americans being rejected. Absolutely ridiculous. Too many British drivers. Just call this sport the British championship !!
Been watching f1 for 6 years, correct me if i am wrong but as far as i know, "outside the rules" means just exploring the grey areas right?? Or is it cheating?
@cameron i think you are missing the bigger point here, Mclauren had the third brake on one wheel, but according to what you said earlier this is independent bias and if its software this would automatically switch to any wheel they wanted, which is not even a grey line, its out right cheating
Please stop spreading conspiracies. Red Bull haven’t lost any performance, other teams caught up (and surpassed them) while Red Bull have failed to make any improvements. I think the problem is that they switched to Mercedes’ failed concept at the start of this season, arrogantly thinking they could make it work. Clearly they were wrong.
To be fair, let's see how the season play out. I presume in time it will unfold if RB was really exploiting this so called grey area abd how muxh performance advantage they gained and for how long..time will tell
Some very defensive Red Bull / Max fans here this evening. If everything is ok, there’s nothing to worry about is there? Ignore the haters and just be confident in your team and driver’s trajectory…
This kind of innovation isn't allowed in f1 cuz only a few team can follow it remember das system and how horner was angry about it now he can feel what toto felt ..its completely different from what Ferrari were doing that was actual cheating
So what do you want Charles to say? He will take it easy on Lewis? Bet you your comment on that answer would’ve been just as ignorant. Let’s see how many unforced errors Lewis will make trying to beat Charles next year. I expect him to do no better than Vettel.
Max just isn't the same without a car that's leaps and bounds ahead of the rest, and without having a teammate that is allowed to compete against him. He's more of a Vettel than a Senna or Lewis Hamilton.

They had to redesign the car (the Hungary update) and have that Frankenstein thing as an option (perhaps) for low downforce tracks. That's a horrible design failure from newey.... And his suspension sux too
Regarding the team up between LeClerc and Hamilton, Charles will have an advantage in terms of home territory and qualifying at the start of the season. But if Lewis keeps his head down and performs and if LeClerc makes his usual mistakes, the team will unite behind Lewis. The difference between them is that Hamilton keeps pushing and overcomes mistakes, LeClerc does not
The Mclaren extra pedal was also to prevent wheel spin on the revelent inside rear wheel. The driver could switch between left rear and right rear brake depending on a left or right corner.
We talk about teams that may have cheated and loss performance but we might need to look into teams that gained as well
Conspiracy at heights... Happens when an Energy drink can beat the Engine heavyweights at their own game 😂😂😂😂
So, was poor Charlie supposed to say that he is going to take it easy on him, or what? As Charlfosi, I do endure “Modern Jean Alesi”, but this is too much! Oh, the humanity!!!
"I'll give it my best".
Take it easy I didn't think gives enough weight to the challenge at hand. No big deal, but hey
@@CameronCcTVAbout the no. of championships tho, George Russell also has zero championships, has also made unforced errors by stacking it at the Singapore GP does that make him the modern day Jean Alesi as well? Jordan "To build a car, to run it out of Switzerland, with manufacturing, it’s a big, big, big ask."
To hear you falsely say Germany instead of Switzerland was disappointing, but to hear you emphasise this over and over and over again really grated.
not only red bull but I think also ferrari have been doing the same thing... remember brake issues for leclerc in bahrain + leclerc also struggled in the last few races + ferrari had the best brakes last season at least ,best car on the high speed braking
Oscar’s stoic approach, for as long as it lasts, well serve him well if he gets to the point of tangling with Max regularly.
I wondet why there whete not so much cheetingstories during the 8 years of dominating from mercedes ,cause its simple a british driver was winning.
Right on brother..
Toto actually said after spa that the upgrades they brought did work but they tripped over a sensor or something on the car which they figured out after the race.
Hate to say it but in the right car Alonso could take it to max once Hamilton is gone if he’s still around
Naaaah! Don’t think so!
I love Alonso, but you're wrong
If only you bothered looking at actual data (lap times, top speed) you’d know Red Bull didn’t lose any performance😂 Shame you haters always feel the need to make up conspiracies
What? Looking at data? Too complicated mate. Conspiracies are nice and juicy. Easy swallow
Hilarious how they can just say what they think and call it Gospel right hahaha🤣👀💯👍🏼
I remember seeing a stat from one of those Instagram accounts that just offers up facts and it showed their lap time for one of the recent races being lower on average than last year whilst others are moving forward
@@michaelclough9499 i believe that was a Hungary only occurrence
Yeh, Hungary traffic though. Got to normalise for that
So when they ‘unsack’ Checo and say they’re going to make the car more optimised for him, actually means they’ve been caught out and they second half of the season RB 20 will see Sergio delivering relative to Max will simply be because it’s a regular car. It might even be a sh1tbox hence the departure of AN and JW. Lol!
We would have sent at spa, this bs has been said a few weeks ago. Perez started second and finessed….
F1 is so serious that when drivers swap seats they call it silly 😂
Brilliant
Audi had decades of success in Motor Sport with big name pilots such as Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Paul Di Resta in DTM.
Love your channel, but I just have to say… why would anyone expect Charles to take it easy on Lewis? He can be honored to have him as a teammate and also try as hard as he can to be the best. Those two things can completely co-exist. Past accomplishments don’t matter when it comes to effort. Surprised anyone would have a problem with Leclerc’s comment tbh.
I think it's the framing of the question, that flared my disapproval.
Cam, how many sleepless hours have you spent connecting these dots 😁
PS. In Australia, the toilettes turn counterclockwise as well, hence the rear RIGHT. Take this to the bank, lads!
Greetings Sir Cam of F1, From North London..... Most excellent F1 broadcast.... Real F1 News .... With a Smile or not depending on how the F1 Wind blows. Thank you Sir . Have a nice weekend. Peace.
That superstition belief that it cant be done from outside to the UK will be broken some day. Honestly it's perfectly understandable that Audi wants to invest and create more jobs at home, out sourcing it to the UK based on superstition is just silly if you ask me. And it wouldn't surprise me either if they some how got help from the German government, and in return their F1 department stays in Germany.
Red Bull caught with there trousers down again, these guys never Learn.
Is this Checo's fault too?
Investigator Cam! Loving this one, you’re onto something here.
We gotta connect dots right? 😃
Bruh what are we doing here? Who wants to hear a racing driver say he will take it easy on their opponents?
Maybe I fallen foul of Grace's razor, I took exception to the framing of the question. But you have a very good point.
In Spa I watched how Charles watched & copied Lewis drive so he could maintain position & not cook his tyres like he normally does, he will learn a lot from Lewis & be a good teammate for Lewis @ Ferrari, I just hope they are provided with a good car! This was always my worry for Lewis to join them, One sign of drama they throw you under the bus.
Without any direct evidence that Red Bull is cheating, putting two and two together and it seems like this is the case
You must be bad at math. Red Bull didn’t lose any performance, others just caught up. Did you forget Max got pole by 0.6 last week?😂
It’s not cheating if it’s not outlawed in the rules. 😂
In this a zero sum game, your first and your second are tantamount to the same thing methinks.
Always the RB wonder how long this has been going on. Weird for everyone to catch up all at the same time. It’s odd
The biggest problem with F1 is that the English influence is still far too big. It needs to be made much more a global sport. Look at the Americans being rejected. Absolutely ridiculous. Too many British drivers. Just call this sport the British championship !!
3 Aussies in F1, amazing
Flotsam and jetsum check !!! Yep got it
Been watching f1 for 6 years, correct me if i am wrong but as far as i know, "outside the rules" means just exploring the grey areas right??
CAN YOU PLEASE STOP WITH THESE MISLEADING TITLES
This is a spin channel, sir
Ferrari aren’t based in the UK, they were successful. Audi are going to cooook
Some very defensive Red Bull / Max fans here this evening. If everything is ok, there’s nothing to worry about is there? Ignore the haters and just be confident in your team and driver’s trajectory…
Don’t no what races you have been watching but piastri is good but not on Norris level at all and will never be on his pace..
This could explain why they kept Checo… think about the timing…
To add to Lecterc Sainz in my opinion is the better driver.
It wasn't in the regulations so it doesn't really count as cheating but if anyone uses it from zandvort and onwards then it will be cheating
I see you have decided to go down the sky news speculation route and the mask drops that you are a serious journalist.
Mr skepticism. Welcome back. I haven't seen you around these parts since you said I was an idiot for saying Lewis might go to Ferrari. Oh wait
Bet Jack Doohan would not talk trash or dis Lewis. Been raised by a Father who was top of his game..
Lando is just lacking killer instinct, oscar has it lando doesn't
Documentary on not giving up?
You assume this is the end for him!!!
;)
Reminds me of when they were burning oil.
Max just isn't the same without a car that's leaps and bounds ahead of the rest, and without having a teammate that is allowed to compete against him. He's more of a Vettel than a Senna or Lewis Hamilton.
DTS fan spotted😂 Max literally has the most dominant karting career OF ALL TIME, won the most consecutive races in F3 EVER despite having a very unreliable car, and his teammates most definitely are allowed to compete but CAN’T. Not to even mention he is rated nr1 in Iracing against other professional drivers. Cope harder
Yeah, tell them. Max isn’t as fast with a car that is considerably slower than the competition instead of considerably faster..Wait, who is? What do you think you are watching? A movie?
Oh the stupidiy..!!!

Than why can’t Lando beat Max in a better car? Mclaren has been better since Miami
@@Formula1blizcause Lando doesn’t have the ‘Mental Fortitude’ or the ‘Killer instinct’ pre requisite for winning consistently. It’s a real shame after Miami I thought the flood gates would open with wins but they opened up for a plethora of errors between Lando and Mclaren, 5 certain wins lost and another one totally given away by stupidity from Lando, when he lost his Nana behind Max in Austria when all he needed to do was to radio “investigate Max, moving under brakes, let me know and I’ll stay close for now” ping 10 sec for Max Lando sit back and relax it’s just a formality from here. Fastest lap is up for grabs if you feel like it it’s currently……………😤🤬

Logically it's more likely that McLaren is using these 'cheats' though..
RB is the so called struggling team and before this new reg there was no reason to remove anything of their car (hypothetically) how is rb the cheater then? Instead of the McLaren and Mercedes who have much more drivability than rb?
Again, RB would've been using their hypothetical brake cheat all this time, (cause there was a loop hole) while struggling with braking lmao...
Like, it seem to me that the likely culprit is the one who has no problems at all in the braking?
so backwards and boring to call this cheating
I am a big checo fan but you have to look at the facts.

Cameron if you go to "across the border" and your dust will come back white😅😅😅
Oh the humanity
Come on Cam, that is a loaded and leading statement, redbull caught cheating with a question mark. This is a cognitive bias where the phrasing of the question implies a certain answer or assumption. In your, “Red Bull caught cheating?” suggests that Red Bull has been caught cheating, even though it’s framed as a question. This will influence the stupid perception, making them more likely to believe the implied statement. Judging by the responses in the comments it would lead me to believe a lot of your subscribers are rather stupid for falling for this. Get better buddy, this is the tactics of the trash msm like cnn and the Washington post. I would guess that a rather large chunk of your fans are here to escape this type of reporting cam

@@Formula1bliz yeah but he said that they were rumours 🤷♀️…
@@Formula1bliz We will likely never hear anything from "reputable sources" with this stuff because it isn't really news worthy, this is really just normal F1 stuff. Article 11.1.2 of the regs were just changed to close a loophole that one of the teams had likely been using earlier in the season, that part of the regs define things involving brakes and in this exact case brake bias/differential a given axle. One of the teams either found a loophole or was already using a loophole and that loophole was just closed. Obviously a loophole doesn't mean anyone was cheating. However, we as fans can take a reasonable guess that the team complaining the most about brakes and inability to rotate the car in the last few races is likely the one with the loophole, the team radio over the last few races match up fairly well.
