I had my GB out a year ago, I can’t lose weight no matter what, I have always been small, now I’m 40 pounds over weight, even walking two miles a day, I’m not losing weight. Now I have under active thyroid, was told none of this before the removal, makes me not trust doctors anymore. Thanks for the video
Same question. I keep gaining weight after my gallbladder removed 2 years ago. I do regular exercise, I eat small portions and just 1 meal a day. But still, I'm gaining weight.
I am amazed how many people I talk to who have been on Proton Pump Inhibitors, PPI's for YEARS (I was on them for 30+yrs, but am finally off!) who at some point then have to have to have their gallbladder removed and then continue to have weight gain and unable to lose, severe diarrhea, Gerd and other digestive issues for the rest of the lives! (Several have then had pancreatic problems!) I know it's all related! But I'm not a doctor or a scientist.... There has got to be an answer! I know PPI's are NOT the answer to stomach acid and/or GERD! I had my gallbladder removed in 2010 and I have struggled every since! Thanks so much for this video.
Thank you for this video! I make gallbladder vids as well and have been experimenting with foods and this is such a helpful video! I’m 18 months postpartum and with no gallbladder I’ve been trying to find how to lose weight type videos that cater to my situation 🌸🌺♥️💕

I’m bloated. Constipation. Like my stomach has closed up and yells no food please. I just started taking oxbile. My doctors haven’t helped much. Where do I start. What food do I eat and avoid. Please help.
Just found this! I meet a surgeon tomorrow to schedule gall bladder surgery due to stones and attacks. I’ve gained 80 lbs in the last 2 years dealing with this gallbladder despite great nutrition. I’m looking forward to my body releasing all this weight and I hope I’m not living in fantasy land!
Hi. My gallbladder had to be removed with 28 small stones inside it at the tender age of 16. I never had any real problems ever since. There is only one issue: My doc told my parents back then I might not be able to digest either eggs or grapes or raisins. Years and years have passed, I am healthy and happy, but the doc was right. Grapes and raisins are very bad for me. I tend to get pain right there, where the gallbladder used to be, if I eat them. Not a problem, I never even miss them. What could I complain about? The surgeon´s sewing skills ought to improve, - I can still see that tiny, thin scar.- So, pls do not worry in case your gallbladder needs to go.
I am 71 and had my gallbladder removed at 13. I made history at my local hospital. I have never had any issues and can eat everything...even my beloved Vegemite. I fast 18/19 hours per day and eat a low carb diet but weight comes off at a snail's pace. Could there be a connection? Cheers! 🐨
I had late-stage estrogen-triggered endometrial cancer. I survived but had a lot of radiation, both external and internal and 6 rounds of chemo. It left me with digestive issues and after a few years I had gall bladder pain and the docs took it out. 5 years later 1st stage breast cancer again estrogen triggered. Survived again, but had 5 years of estrogen suppression. I have been off that for about 1 1/2 years but now docs are saying I have developed fatty liver. Each specialist focuses on their exact area but none seem to see the big picture. It just seems to me that the estrogen issues, the lack of a gall bladder and an admittedly lousy diet, too much sugar, refined carbs, proccessed foods... I am now treating food like medicine, not entertainment but I think I need some guidance and so far not finding much help.
I don’t have a gallbladder and I have been gaining weight ever since I had it out. I eat keto/ carnivore. I do not have gut issues but weight gain is my issue. What is the best diet for this problem?

I'm not sure if it was because of IF or not. But I've been doing IF for about a year, with an average window of 16 hours. Then I started experiencing discomfort in my stomach. Finally, an internist told me to get an ultrasound. From there, it was found out that I had two fairly large stones. The doctor recommended surgery. I agreed to it. So last week, my gallbladder was removed.

Mine just failed, i never had stones. However, a few years after my surgery, that dull pain on my right upper abdomen started back up. Its been an intermittent pain for 14 years. This week my entire right side rib cage was extremely tender and that was new for me. However they started feeling better in a few days so im not even sure its related lol. I get lots of bloating but my main issue is constipation with bouts of diarrhea once in awhile. I had huge gallstones and ended up with a removal when I was young, I started having issues about 15 or so and ended up having my gallbladder removed when I was about 19. I never got any answers as to why it happened or any explanation of what to do after. So I had horrible stomach problems for a few years after and had no idea why, I just knew it was triggered by bad fatty foods. Wish there was better information given by doctors on this!! Thanks for the info. :) Definitely interesting.
Lost my gallbladder in 2015 after failed lapband in 2015. Also have PCOS, off of BC after over a decade, & trying to start a family @33 with hubby. Phantom pains when I consume too much bad fats. And now I’m heavier than when I got the lap band 😠! BUT I know a balanced diet full of greens, lean meats & healthy carbs/fats work, along with strength training, yoga & dance classes (for me). Lost 35lbs pre covid, so now I have to bounce back with no BC in my system. Looking through your vids, books & program. Great content! 🙏🏾

I even eliminated dairy from my diet since a year but no help. The worst time is the time when I am menstruating as the fibroids cause heavy bleeding plus heavy cramps and bloating . I am an indian and my diet includes seafoods and eggs. Can you please suggest me a good diet. Thanks
This is exactly what I help with in my programs. Have you looking into my 12 week program? That might be a good fit, www.drbethwestie.com/waitlist
Thank you. You’re awesome!
You are welcome!
What kind of diet would we need if we don't have gallbladder?
I have a video on this!
@@DrBethWestie I don't see it, could you please share a link?
I had huge gallstones and ended up with a removal when I was young, I started having issues about 15 or so and ended up having my gallbladder removed when I was about 19. I never got any answers as to why it happened or any explanation of what to do after. So I had horrible stomach problems for a few years after and had no idea why, I just knew it was triggered by bad fatty foods. Wish there was better information given by doctors on this!! Thanks for the info. :) Definitely interesting.
You are welcome. Glad it was helpful!
Lost my gallbladder in 2015 after failed lapband in 2015. Also have
PCOS, off of BC after over a decade, & trying to start a family @33 with hubby. 🙏🏾
Wow! You’ve been on a journey! Hopefully this info is helpful for you!

Have you had any help since your post.
Hi, I had my gallbladder removed surgically because I had gallstones and I was 15 at that time. But when i was diagnosed with gallstones I lost a lot of weight and got skinny, but over the years my stomach isn’t the same and gained weight overtime . I’m 17 now and been wanting to loose weight but I need help in what I should eat or do to help me loose weight at least 20 pounds. Overtime my digestive system was ok but know it’s just bad, I need help please.
Maybe try intermittent fasting
Oxbile
Didn't realize how old this was
I had to have my gallbladder removed in my 30's, because it got to where every time I ate, it felt like I was being stabbed in the gut with a knife!!
Fasting works great if you want to lose weight without a gallbladder
No it doesn't. The constant trickle of bile makes fasting a terrible choice. The meal you eat to break your fast is poorly digested. Do you still have your gallbladder?
@Samsung Saul my gallbladder has been removed and when i was fasting i lost 20 pounds in a month and a half.
@@jrosten369 How long ago, did you ever experience Bile dump? Or are you one of the lucky ones?
