  • This is the third video in this series. part 1 is here: • 2007 GMC Yukon No Star...
    part 2 is here: • 2007 GMC Yukon Multipl...
    The important code in the BCM is the U2099 for a shorted Serial Data Wakeup Signal. Problem was the Suspension Control Module shorting out the circuit. I reinstalled the original BCM. I'm not sure if the circuit problem prevented proper BCM programming or if it's not possible to reprogram a used BCM that was originally programmed with different options..This vehicle still needs an Air Bag Sensor.

    Dude you've saved my truck I was rocking my brain going through everything to try and narrow it down and came across your video, disconnected the connector and it started right up! Now that its in the shop I'm going to remove and replace the electronic suspension module or do a jumper wire as you did, bottom line you're a genius and a life saver

      Glad it helped you out. Which connector did you disconnect? The one beside the fuse panel or the suspension control module?

      Started with the big harness by the fuse block and now I'm going to do the jumper wires on the suspension control harness and call it good till I can get myself another module programmed and installed

      Just did everything same way you did in the video and I'm all set and driving no issues or lights, thanks again!

    Phillip, I just want to take a moment and thank you. I purchased a 2007 Yukon Denali about 6 weeks ago, and just driving it the other day... all my gauges/instrument cluster started going crazy, door locks were actuating on their own, and vehicle wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear. Luckily I was only half a mile from home. I've been doing research, and went through and freshened up the grounding system, only to have the same problem persist.
    I stumbled across your videos, and though I haven't verified this to be my exact issue, I believe it will be. I've had a "service suspension" alarm since I've had the truck, that I simply clear each drive cycle. And I just recently (a week ago), removed the spare wheel so I could put a new and proper size tire on it. Upon doing so, I had to cut the OEM spare hoist assembly because it was seized (Michigan rust). So I've been driving the truck around without the spare there to take brunt of the elements and shield the suspension control module. Not only that, but I also run the truck through the car was every other day. I believe between the snow/rain/elements, combined with the car wash underbody spray, has probably killed/shorted the module (It is extremely rusted and corroded).
    Thanks to you, I now have new direction to try and tackle this issue. Do you mind me asking where you acquired your electrical schematics for the system? And if it's not a link via the web, would you mind shooting them to me via email? I will private message you my email address.

      For electrical diagrams I use Identifix but it is a subscription service for commercial repair shops. Try Alldatadiy.com the cater to DIY people and it's quite reasonable in my opinion. Phils@tbaytel.net is my email.

      @@PhillipBailey This indeed fixed my truck, for anyone experiencing similar problems. 2007 Yukon Denali, gauges going crazy, door locks actuating on and off by themselves, park assist enabling and disabling, transmission stuck in a low gear etc.
      I jumped the BUS pins (39-24, 40-25) to complete the com circuit/loop, and my truck is now back to normal (aside from the service suspension alarm obviously). Anyone having crazy electrical issues, check your ground system, and potentially this suspension module. Good luck!

    I had a avalanche show up no crank no start, and came across this video while doing a little research. The other shops blamed it on a tuner frying the ecm, but no evidence of that. It ended up being a pin rotted off the suspension control module.

    • @PhillipBailey
      @PhillipBailey  Рік тому

      What happened in what order? If you have no com with just the ECM start by checking the fuses that power the ECM. Does the MIL turn on with the ignition? Do you have communication with the BCM, ABS, Fuel Pump Driver?
