- In late September, The Nation publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel and editor D.D. Guttenplan met with Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel for an exclusive interview in New York.
It was the President’s first ever interview in the US. They discussed the economic crisis facing his island nation, the future of its socialist model, and the impact of continued hostility from Washington.

Cuba has all the love and support of ordinary people around the globe. Socialistic Cuba has survived against the will of the strong capitalistic and imperialistic powers for one simple reason: It has the unconditional support of its great people. Hasta la victoria siempre! ❤
Truly an interesting comment. We must admit to the truth of a modern transition to the people of this country which is that the young people who are building out the new Cuba is there. It has always been a bridge of dreamers who migrate to Florida and have built a beautiful constituency and is the cornerstone of NY burrows. My additional comment is that I do not want a particular presidential hopeful to commercialize and throw away the rich culture that is stellar. I am an advocate of cultural activist like many NY celebrate, It is a part of our Latin landscape. Miranda,, JLo, and one who has been at the forefront. It published. I believe and firmly believe that Cuba and Porta Rico, especially PR wants to be our 52 state. To inform you about me, I did a thesis at my community college where I used the Bay of Pigs as a focal point international law and how close we came. I believe that older generations can learn from the new Cuban society. Fast forward to today I wanted to visit this country before it changes.
I respectfully want you to know that I have been shadowed by Maga support. With all my good governance and protection, please know that it is apparent by comments made by consistent infiltrated groups.
