Who else literally got up to sing & dance with this one? Return of the Mack is the JAM!! Crazy hot vibe!!🔥🎵
I bought the single at time of release back in 1995. I was mid-teens then, 38 now.
Always!!! The main part AND backup singer parts. Haha
Not quite. But im up. Got work in a few hours..
My cats are.looking at me crazy as I sing and dance in bed! Lol
Jennifer, I’m out of my seat when I opened UA-cam!
A classic, as a Brit we're proud that this song is loved the world over nearly 25 years later.
This was a mega hit when it came out. It reached number 2 on the billboard charts in the US. That's hard for established American acts, let alone an unknown Brit.
Much respect to you brothers for bringing classics back, so that a new audience can appreciate it and old fools like me can reminisce.
This song still plays on black radio stations all across the United States
That’s because this song is just sooo good. This is one of those summer songs that are attached to good memories.
I'm old enough to remember this from the time (1995). Was indeed a big hit. I even brought 'Get Horny', the second single from the album.
Mark is from the UK. You don't hear a lot more from him. Brother had a bit of trouble and did some time.
Still is relevant today. Poor bro Mack had some legal issues and went off radar.
I love this song. It's the polar opposite of depression. He is completely in love, gets cheated on and dumped, and in the face of the most painful experience a human can have, he says oh I'm coming back stronger. Who has that kind of life spirit? I love it.
I'm a old white guy and this has always made me dance. Music transcends color.
You guys make me smile. I really appreciate how you guys are looking for what came before you and is still the bomb.
I'm an old white woman and I remember groovin to this on ths dancefloor..it only needed the first few bars oc the music and the floor was heaving..I dare anyone not to dance and sing it at the top off your voice..a 90's banger
The two people who disliked this "lied to Mark Morrison"
😅🤣😂
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
LMAO!!!
😏😏
Yeah he is from the UK... this song was huge in the 90's... also try Ini Kamoze - Hotstepper... it is such a vibe you guys. I still have it on my playlist
Hotstepper yes!!!!!!
That was my jam!! And I had a big crush on the guy who did the song...
Muuuuuuuurrrrduuurrrraaaa!!!
Here comes the hotstepper🎶🎶🎶
Pick up the crew in da area
This was written as a revenge song on his ex-gf who left him because she was tired of him struggling as an artist and saying he'd never make it. Revenge was served cold when the revenge song itself was a massive hit.
Powerful destiny...
Didn't he write this in prison too?
@@michellemybelle2263 Probably, he spends most of his time there.
@@controlZchannel that was cold 💀
The best songs are written out of pain
About 10 years ago I turned my son on to this song. He fell in love with it...and I felt like a cool Mom. Ya feel me? Love you guys
This song will never die. To this day it’s still stand the test of time. Commercial, movies and tv shows. I hope Mark is banking.
This and Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley will never die #Rickrolled
@@salliefouts4725 #FACTS
Yep
Especially that Burger King commercial. Return of the Mac N’ Cheetos.
That’s commercial no matter how old or how many times I see it. Kills me 🤣🤣🤣

Oh TOTALLY!!! Please do that one. Best song ever.
Yes!!!!! I keep waiting for them to do this one!!
I like the Chet Faker cover
The 90's killed it for all genres of music! Great react!
The party doesn't start until they play this song!
should react to Montell Jordan this is how we do it
Yes. Definitely one of my favs.
Yes please! I think they sometimes base what they react to on how many 'likes' a certain comment with a song gets, if I could like this one a million times I definitely would lol! Best Jam ever!
Yessss!!!!!!!!!
This song and Montell Jordan are absolute bangers!
And Let's get it on tonight by Montell Jordan
Mark Morrison is from the UK alright. I just sent this to a friend who’s friends with Mark, would love to see how Mark reacts. 😊
I too, would love to see Marks reaction.
I would love to see that reaction also..I've always loved this song..its on every playlist
Also pass^ thanks to Mark, for his 'Rose Theatre'🇬🇧 eVent attendance 🎤.
Having difficulty re: specific 🗓️, day for the ℹ️ record's., But his extension of 'Mack the Knife', via the 'Return' had great appreciation there.
I requested this in the afternoon and woke up in the morning to see the they listed this (I’m in Melbourne, Australia)...made my day. The song is such a classic and used to hear it in the clubs and regularly blast myself with it in the car...a favourite house party song also!
Thank you Mark Morrison!!!
He's from Germany quiet as he's kept...

Check out PM DAWN... “I’d Die Without You, Set ADift of Memory Bliss, or Looking through Patient Eyes.”
Oh and although I am American the UK was a problem in the 80’s and 90’s ) Caron Wheeler, Soul II Soul, Mica Paris, Five Star, Loose Ends, Seal, to name a few) they had really good music (still do but seemed like more back then).
Oh I LOVE PM Dawn - they’re so underrated.
Classics💯💯💯 PM Dawn is a whole vibe!!!
🔥 🔥
Love me some Five Star!!
Yessssss I love this song too
Now! This is the backyard BBQ, Crab boil and Fish Fry Family Festival. With the big tall speakers "Thumping!" Yeah!!
Whut you said.
cruise ship deck jam now
Got that right!!
Talk about it!
Just because he only had one hit in the U.S. doesn't make him a 1 hit wonder in others. This album had like 5 Top 10 songs in the U.K..
Facts
true
I believe there was a song called “Crazy” on that cd I liked
i mean she was right … he was a one hit wonder lol
@@khingondating only here in the US. He had way more hits overseas. They just didn’t chart nowhere near as high as this one did over here
I can never listen to this song without bopping.
This song still bangs. It's definitely a groove.
It's pretty much impossible not to dance when this song is on!
Irony being that it's a breakup/revenge song
Still think you need to do “Holdin Back the Years” by Simply Red
Yes! 100% agree!
FACTS
YES.
Definitely a jam.. these kids need to start digging in them crates
I am a 63 yo woman.
This is so fun to watch these babies as they find out how hard we FUNKED!!😘
PUMP UP YOUR BASS FOR FULL IMPACT!!!!
OMG How many times I danced to this over the years!!!
Me to still dancing now.lol.
Still am ❤️❤️
Yep! 🔥🔥🔥
@Caz Katt haha so true! I was listening to the Farm earlier and Altogether now. 30 years old that one is this year - terrified the life out of me! But sheesh it still sounds good lol
And he was never heard from again. For reals, if you liked this one, you gotta do Oran "Juice" Jones - The Rain. Same theme, but old school.
OMG that is exactly what I was thinking!! I missed you so much I followed you today.....didn't want to mess up my linx coat. HAHAHAHA
He spent time in jail
@@patrickhodges4503 exactly. Here in the states he's a OHW.
Yes!! I requested that a while ago. I don't know, maybe they will get around to it!
Yeeeeeesssss I been trying to get someone to react to The Rain, you was with the juice! 😁
Why do I still get goose-pumps when here this JAM!!!!!😅❤
THIS IS MORE THAN A SONG, IT'S LIKE SOME KIND OF LEGENDARY MASTERPIECE OF MUSIC.
Man! This one will turn up any function, wedding, grad party, any party really. Probably the greatest one hit wonder in history.
Yes!!! 🙌🏽
BIG FACTS. You wanna get a Function Started off Right. Play This Right Here.
Agreed!
Another great song. If you can listen to Seal’s song “Kissed by a Rose”
Brilliant song...great choice!
He also sings a song called Crazy it’s good.
Great one!!!
Kiss from a rose not kissed by a rose
Great suggestion.
every single time this comes on it's a "THAT'S MY JAM!!" moment!!! Love this damn song to my core!!!
Return Of The Mack Will Always Be A Dance Classic🤜🏼🤛🏽
Bone Thugs N Harmony “Crossroads” or Marky Mark the Funky Bunch “Good Vibrations”
Peak 90s right there!!
Yes. Both songs a fav❤️
Meet me at the crossroad so u don’t be lonely 😔
Mannnnnn, the 90's was the best, some of the best music and some of the best times of my life.
Me too, for sure!
💯
Love watching you guys enjoy this song. It's one of my favorites. Just a little trivia... this song came out in 1996. Blade came out in 1998, so really...Blade looks like Mark Morrison.😁
This song will live forever ... it’s truly timeless.
Jayummmm!!!!! He is of Jamaican descent but was raised in England. That's why his voice is so distinct.
He must've been, there weren't many Africans living in the UK during the 90s. Btw I very heard he was from Leicester, is that true??
Correction - He is of Bajan descent. His parents are from Barbados.
@@NoRockinMansLand yes
Yep, he’s a U.K. artist but when this song came out it was a HUGE hit here in the U.S.
This is my JAM!!!
I'm from Kenya, but I grew up in alot of different countries cause of my dad's job.i live in America now.when I tell u alot of people don't know about mark or Diana king.America only listens to American musician.when they hear this the first question they ask is this artist new?no it's not new.cause they don't listen shit but they shit they play here.
Still plays in Australia on the daily
Same in Australia
This song is so good. I remember how huge it was when it came out and was playing on the radio constantly. It’s still so good so many years later.
I’m from the UK and this song is a staple of my childhood. One of my favourite memories is of my friend skipping around to this song wearing a rain mac, for laughs!
THE FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD THIS SONG WAS ON THE SHOW "NEW YORK UNDERCOVER". WHO REMEMBERS THAT SHOW?
Two words.....Malik Yoba
never missed an episode
Part of THE BEST Thursday Night lineup with Livin Single.
They had great episodes. Loved tbat show!
Yup!
Michael DeLorenzo and Malik Yoba were a great couple. I loved the fact when that nightclub Natalie's had great artists performing. That hit different!
Love that show! Michael DeLorenzo was on the TV show "Fame" and in the "Beat It"" video. 🎸🎥
I remember this song. It was a banger back in the day
Another British artist you need to check out is Craig David. Try "Rewind", "Fill Me In" or "7days"
Really anything 📴 that "Born 2 do it" album by Craig David
Ooooh nice one!!
Loved Craig David
@@TheKy47 Born To Do It slaps so hard!!
YES 7 Days or Rendezvous (though I know not a hit) would be amazing
I will never forget how this man tried to pay a look-alike to do his community service while he was out on tour in the 90’s 😂 every time I see or hear this song, that is what pops into my head. It’s just amazing.😂
One hit wonder but this song still hits lol
The whole album was good actually
Yes it does!❤💋
Possibly the best one hit wonder ever?!
@@angelm.hunter8104 yes it was. And nothing else since.
@@sixfootbeauty he had other songs dat blew up in uk, return of the mack was his only song that blew up in us
How about Ruff Endz "No More"?
Time is moving way too fast. These are actually old songs now!
Been killing no more lately!
This song is a classic as far as I'm concerned. Still love hearing it today. Thanks guys.
Twins, please react to Soul II Soul's Back to Life, another classic jam from a British act.
Hey Tim. You always have that "I'm feeling this song stank face" like the lead singer of earth, wind and fire. You remember, how you were making fun of his stank face in the video. 😀. I love you guys, keep it up with the old school jams.
Pharcyde- passin me by
My dear my dear my dear you do not know me but I know you very well...
He got arrested for carrying an offensive weapon and got sent to nick ( prison) when walked on the wing the whole prison was singing . Return of the Mack 😂😂
Simply Red "Holding Back the Years", Ini Kamozee "Here Comes the Hotstepper", MC Lyte "Paper Thin", Stevie Wonder "Rocket Love'
This was used on a UK advert for McDonalds last year when you could get Big Mac again after the lockdown. Thought that was clever
@Threehundredpages Pages Excuse me thats actually hilarious lol
Lol cute
oh my ....I completely forgot about that until I read your comment. yes here in the US too...I hated that Mickey Dee's took it for their crap food actually.
😂 they lied to you. The mac never left
I think they used this in the US too, that idea sounds familiar haha
He was in trouble with the law again and again in his early years. He got his act together and started helping to get kids to "throw down the knife, and pick up a mic". He lives in Florida and has a record label.
Wha? Florida? Why?
He comes from my town 😊
What's the name of this record label?
To be honest with you guys, I totally forgot about this song until you started playing and I heard him singing. It's like how could you forget that voice? It's definitely a one of a kind. I remember liking this song back when it first came out. Good song.
When I saw the title: I was like OMG they gonna LOVE this one. I was right. That's my jam!!!!
Donnell Jones "U know what's up"
Shabba Ranks "Mr loverman"
Vicious "Nika" radio remix
Mr. Ugly man...in living color
Shabba! Flex 💪
Yes! Shabba!
I like yo style fam..RRR..Lol
I need to see you guys react to Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot
I was born in 94 and this song is nostalgia overload. The 1990s was an epic time. I was young but the late 90s was an amazing different time in history. The party was definitely on. Love this shit
It’s so awesome that the younger generation is listening to our vibes 1997 this came out. Till today we all love return of Mac.. Still this is da Jam !!!!!!!
Fun fact Tupac made a remix to this
He did??!! I had no idea. I’m looking that up right now.
A few remixes were made with unreleased tracks by Pac, but Pac was killed a month or 2 after this song was released. Then Mark Morrison was locked up the next summer
Yes he did when it was a 90s smash R&B hit
This song is 25 years old, but it seems written yesterday. I love it!
As a metalhead, I love this song. Just heard it for the first time a weeka ago and it seemed special right away.
If you watch closely, Mark Morrison keeps splitting into 3 Mark Morrisons to prove his power. This is truly the greatest song about a Mack’s undeniable return to greatness.
Mark Morrison is from a city in England called Leicester.
Wiki says he recently said he wants to be mayor
D Taylor Next single: Return of the Mayor 😆🎵
Forreal???? OMG IM SO SHOCKED😱
Grew up in the Highfields area of Leicester
THIS👏🏽 IS👏🏽 MY👏🏽 ROLLERSKATING 👏🏽 JAM!!!!👏🏽🔥💯💃🏽
EXACTLY...ROLLER DISCO ALL THE WAAAAAY!
I was in the UK when this came out and it was inescapable on radio, tv and in the clubs. Classic!
I. LOVE. This song. It’s impossible to sit still when it comes on. 💜
This still bangs. I remember when our radio station got the song, saying it was new artist. I tell you what, the disc jockey played over and over for a whole hour. Everyone was calling in to hear that song and it was fiyaaaaaa.
I’m shocked Fred didn’t download this gem!
Mark was from 🇬🇧 fun fact Mark had a community order and sent a lookalike to do the job, they only found out when Mark was caught out and about when the lookalike was doing his duty, that was the end of his career. I still love the record and always sing along
The first song I became obsessed with. Bought it, ran home and played it on repeat for over an hour. Ageless!
This guy was a one-hit wonder with this song back in the day. But his voice was truly unique-sounding, and the song's got a solid groove to it. The song's got surprising staying power after more than two decades, it's still got vibe.
You will want to do a reaction to "The Humpty Dance" by Digital Underground, if you've not already done that one. Serious banger.
Not a one hit wonder. His song Crazy was huge in UK Urban circles, the original promo version from 1993 or 94, using Father MC 69 baseline. Later released version was not as good. ua-cam.com/video/nhrBLUuJKJw/v-deo.html
Random fact of the day for you.....
Mark Morrison was convicted of affray for his part in a brawl resulting in one fatality and sentenced to community service. Morrison later was incarcerated in Wormwood Scrubs for a year for paying a lookalike (Gabriel Maferika) to perform his court-appointed community service in his stead, while Morrison himself went on tour.
Wow .... that is bold as hell!!
Impossible to hear return of the Mack and not get up and sing along. This song deserves the title of JAMMMM
I loveeeeeeeee this song...I'm crying and singing because i love this song so much
Yes! Finally. High school dances.
you need to try more 90's track like C-block - So strong out, Nana - I remember the time, MC Lyte - Cold Rock A Party, Ini Kamoze - Here Comes The Hotstepper
This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG!!!
This is still the cut! My 27 year old son loves it. He discovered it about two years ago and it’s one of his favorites now. He was only 3 years old when it came out.
I didn’t even see the video but liked it anyways because the intro to this song is classic
Check out Seal's "Kiss From A Rose" and "Crazy"!! He is from England as well and has a very strong voice and unique look!
my favorite of his is "prayer for the dying"
I like "don't cry"
Amazing vocalist.
You guys..!!! So good to watch your reaction to that Masterpiece of my generation...!!! That era was HUGE for music...!!! Enjoy folks..!! Mark Morrison was born in Germany, lived in UK, and now in Miami...!!! Nothing but love..!! 🙏☮️🧡
Guys you need to listen to the LONG version!!!! It's off the chain!!!! One of my all time favorite songs!! Packed with memories!

This was the 5th best selling single of 1996 in the UK
Love the long version, it’s starts with the piano 🎹 intro Love it
I have never gotten out of my car when this was playing, always to the end!
Dude, one of best of the mid-90s. Such a good song.
Return of the Mack one of my all time faves ...🎵🎵
He was born in west Germany. A British R&B singer the song was return of Mack a big hit in UK. You guy should check out Soul to Soul, Lose end, also.
One of my favorites nothing like old school❤
Love the song 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Wouldn’t mind seeing a reaction to Neyo or Usher
Champagne Life by Neyo!!
Yeah!!
So many great memories tied to this song. One is surely tied to my younger Brother who passed 10 yrs ago. He dated a girl who was always playing and singing this song. Good times!
I loved your reaction to this song, I could see y'all loved it! This was THE SONG back then! SUBSCRIBED!
It's SO FUN watching yall hear music that I really just take for granted. Helps me hear it in a completely different way. I'm only 34 but my parents played alllll the old school when I was growing up.
I loved this song back in the day. Still do. My kids remember this song, because I played it repeatedly in the car when we went ANYWHERE. Lol An all-time favorite!!! A driving song for me. Hahaha
Okay shit y'all taught ME something today...good observation about a possible accent and driving on the other side of the road! This song was the jam when I was in high school and I never really realized Mark Morrison is in fact British.
Mark Marrison!! -Return Of The Mack!!
A super hit!! Back in the day!!!
This was played to death in clubs in the U.K. back when it came out. Always makes me think of going out clubbing back then, great memories
