As a licensed nail tech who specializes in gel I am so thoroughly impressed!! Also, 4.5 hours for a set like this at home by someone who doesn't do nails all day every day is really darn good! Some of the sets that I did on actual clients in nail school took me longer than that! I will totally send this to clients who are asking what they can do when they can't get in to see a tech. Literally the only thing I'd do differently at work is use different base and builder gel products and that's just because I have access to products that you can't get without a license and I'd use little time-savers like using my drill for cuticle prep. Also, I /love/ Enail Couture, they are fantastic as far as brands that you can get a hold of without a license! Their gel polishes are definitely in my top 3 and that's saying a lot!
Love this series + all of your nail vids! 💥FYI the uv/led lamp will NOT sanitize your phone, keys, etc. The type of UV that will sanitize items will burn your skin so it’s very different! Please stay safe out there 💗💅🏽
You have to put the polish on the sponge and stamp it on. It'll take a few layers but it would probably be faster than the brush. Simplynailogical has a bunch of gradient nail art videos using a makeup sponge
I don't know the science behind it but gel polish tends to not work well with the sponge method, Suzie from NCE explains it really well but you're right, the sponge method works the best for normal acrylic polish
With gel it’s better to use the brush, been there. Cristine method works really nice for normal polish, but the way gel dries leaves a weird look sometimes if you use the sponge too much (for light colors for example).
The builder gel underlay is a pro tip! If you're prone to breakages the underlay will help enormously with that too. Thanks Tina! :) For ombre designs apply the polish to the sponge then the nail. Works better. Another good idea is to do a builder gel underlay and do regular polish designs on top. That way you can change your look often with no damage to your underlay. :) Both colours looked great but maybe the blue had a little more distinction? Great job!
I love both but pink my favourite 🤗. But can you do a tutorial on how you remove your gel without disturbing you builder gel? The protective coat you talked about at the beginning.
To do a nice ombre with the sponge, you need to apply the product on the sponge, not on the nail. And dont worry about the bubbles. It goes away with a top coat as you mentioned. And also, you are not supposed to cut your cuticule. I know it s tempting, but it s not actually dead skin, it s alive. If you keep cutting it, it will grow more. I learned this from Suzie from Nail Career Education. It s her UA-cam channel. I really like her, you should check her out. You will learn a lot from her as you say you like doing nails as well.
Your amazing at nails! Simply Nailogical has a brand of nail polish called holo taco and it could be cool if you did some nail are with the cool colors she has 🤗
I love this. I have been doing my nails myself for about 2 years now. I do my own exstantions to. when I started out I used gel but have been using hybrid gels like polygel since about 4 months and I love it. I find that doing my own nails relaxes me it is so nice.
I love how you explain everything 💕 it’s very clear. Could you do a tutorial of how to do and identify types of cuticle,, so we can cut the cuticle without getting it bleading.
Omg early! Love the nail ideas!!!💕 Your nail series should be “Nails by Tina” or “Polished and Perfectly Nailed With Tina Yong”. Those are some suggestions but I hope you like it. Talented as always.❤️
Oooh after your tarot card reading, This isnt an early hint that your carrying a mini Tina is it??💖☺...either way, My FAVORITE Nail art you've done. So BEAUTIFUL. 👍
Love the blue gradient, but also love the 2 different colours on both nails. I love that you spend 4hrs doing your nails - with 2 littlies, I barely get 5mins to myself. But, live for this content to escape 💕
“Tina’s Nail Trials”..... just because you are a perfectionist and are doing your own nails without being professionally trained! (Like a lot of us!) Beautiful nails!
Kirsty Meakin (Queen of all things nails) has a great tutorial on how to make your own ombre brush for gel polish. You don't have to spend the extra $$ for a special ombre brush.
Ohhh yes beginner designs and tips for short nails please! I'm a climber and with all the gyms closed this month, it's a pretty good opportunity to play with my nails 😂
Help me think of a name for my nail series! Comment below 👇🏻

your true

The brush also gives better control since gel doesn't dry in its own anyway so it gives you time to blend :)
With gel, you can sponge the edge only and itll give a noce gradient! Gel and regular creme polishes are different
Tina nailed it
also "Tina Nails It" very catchy I love it! :)
I agree👌 Also I love your profile picture, Animals4life. 😳🐈❤
@@littlewolf7018 thank q so much😊😜😘
Team blue :) So pretty!
Since we are in quarantine, I wanna see Alfred last 24 hours with some extreme CLAWS💅🏼
I love them both but my favourite would be the blue colour :) love your videos and hope everyone is doing well.

You're so bubbly Tina, watching your videos during quarantine time is really boosting my mood 💜
Nail time with Tina! It's like a section on your youtube

This r some other technic....ombre can be created in so many ways not only with sponge
Loving those pearls & gel.
The blue was nice. Reminded me of the sky we can rarely see now. But I wouldn't mind seeing a blood red or something similar. That would be cool
I LOVE THE BLUE
Your amazing at nails! Simply Nailogical has a brand of nail polish called holo taco and it could be cool if you did some nail are with the cool colors she has 🤗
It might not be her cup of tea if she always has gel nails
I love this. I have been doing my nails myself for about 2 years now. I do my own exstantions to. when I started out I used gel but have been using hybrid gels like polygel since about 4 months and I love it. I find that doing my own nails relaxes me it is so nice.

Your hair looks amazing in here.
OMG. U make it look sooooo simple Tina.
I was wondering how you remove them after they’ve grown out! Does the nail strengthener / adhesive like gel remove easily??
So pretty loved the blue more
I feel like Tina Yongs become the new Michelle Phan lol!
Same here 💜
They both are so positive
*_And they don't do some bad tea_*
The Blue is so good
I thought of "Finger TIPS with Tina", but that sounds kinda odd idk 😂

Just simple “nails time” :))
I think being able to sterilize under my UV lamp is brilliant. I came for nail art tips and got sterilizing tips. Thanks so much.
More nail tutorials than Simplynailogical 😂
Very pretty. I like the pink.
Your voice sounds _so_ similar to that of “How to Cook That” it’s crazy.
Only because they're both Australian haha
