This is really helpful stuff i have 5 ice machine and i will use this on all of them. I paid someone to do the cleaning and they charged me $700 for deep cleaning one ice machine.
Hi will the TSP hurt any of the internal components on a Hoshizaki? I know Hoshizaki uses a stainless steel evaporator, but there are other components (hoses, gaskets etc). Is the TSP solution ok to use on these? I've always used the green limeaway type product. Thanks
Do not use green lime away...that is Nickel safe cleaner made for units that have a Nickel plated ice plate. Nu Calcon clear ice machine cleaner works or you can use the Hoshizaki brand descaler but Ive found that the Nu calgon clear works better.
First of all this ice maker is already in great condition. Whenever I see a hoshizaki it’s usually way past cleaners. They are so many tiny hard to reach areas to clean. You can never get it all. I guess if you get it new and run cleaner it can stay that way. But I would never own one of these machines. Get an ice o matic or Follett. If you need hoses and pressure washers to clean an icemaker then it starts to get ridiculous.
Key word.... Food Grade or Food Safe. Less we forget ice IS food. TSP may vin fact be CHEAPER than approved products that safely clean, descale and sanitize. If we're looking to be on The Cheap we might as well pour straight CLR to get rid of the scale. I mean seriously, why buy a $90 Hoshizaki cleaning brush if you're going to half ass it and use some caustic cleaning agent.

That’s not that far off. A deep cleaning a an Ice Machine can take hours. Cleaning solutions aren’t cheap either
Thanks for showing how to do it ,uncle...
Just cleaned one today for a McDonald's in my area spent my entire day scrapping/brushing off calcium
Epic. TSP. Never knew.
Hello. So, the point of loosening the hoses was to remove the water supply brackets?
Would did you buy that long brush, Sir? Thank you very much
I believe that the brush was bought at a Home Depot.
How much solution do we do add to clean it?
tsp is it safe..? what about handling in concentrated powder form? should i wear a respirator?
+Ricky Williams Yes, it is safe. Just be sure to wear some type of gloves.

Go to a hoshizaki dealer and get their "scale away"..... thats the only cleaning solution to be used
Can this help making ice faster mines is slow
Martin Andrade yes
Can this machine work indoors

Hoshizaki suck....I agree
TSP will destroy the evaporator then the remaining components.
Nu Calgon clear....
But, it's cheaper than doing it the right way 🤦🏼♂️
The hose clamps are the worst part for me haha
Use 75% phosphoric acid to clean the machine.
Is that TSP food grade...only use ice machine cleaner approved by manufacturer...m God what a hacker
