WLW 700 A.M. has quite a history, at one time they had a 500,000 watt transmitter. Liquid cooled with cooling ponds flanking the building. Bass hits were not limited and would set the power lines feeding the area to actually pulse to the beat. WLW has a great history to be found on line. Very entertaining 500 Kw, could be heard anywhere on earth. By the by, great video
Great AM nighttime review. Also quite good daytime reception on previous review. Have a good and safe summer. Oh, like WGN and WBBM. Tip: Try for WEEU-830 (Reading, Pa.) and WFED1500 (Washington, DC) by filtering out Minneapolis, Mn. Thank you for the great review.
Great review. Analogue always sounds more pleasing to me, the C Crane almost offends the demonstration with its shrill sound. Any chance of an analogue showdown of radios currently available, Todd? SWL would be a massive bonus but I know we are limited beyond budget pocket radios. 👍🏼
Always remember the Realistic shortwave radio classics like this one. I used to know someone who had one of these. Nice radio. Searching the bands on this was a great joy. Wonder if you can find any of the “Astronaut” series portables by Realistic?

WEEU would be a pretty tough target, seeing it is in the opposite direction.

I like that series.
I own that radio!
So do I. That was my first shortwave radio, and I spent hundreds of hours exploring the dial. Such nostalgia!
I would like to buy one if available in our country. India
