I think what makes this choreo so iconic and so special is this is really a flex on their years of dance training because even if not all of them come from a dance background they’ve been dancing together for over a decade. And they ALL have a centre moment because all of them are fucking phenomenal dancers. In the early days when basically anyone but the dance line was singing or rapping they wouldn’t be fully in the choreo, they’d either be off to the side, or kind of standing still in the middle or doing a simplified version so they’d still be stable because BTS never choreographs anything assuming they’ll never have to do it while singing live. Now after all these years they’re all so stable you can fully expect them to be dancing their asses off, putting 110% effort into every move without missing a beat or a note. I’m so proud of them, they are UNTOUCHABLE
Jimin is riding a motorcycle, that's what the shirt and the dancer holding down the shirt for Jimin. It was Jimin simulating riding a bike and going out of control.......it's the quote of the song "if we live fast, let us die young"......yeah it was Jimin riding a motorcycle and crashing.
Somehow Yoongi does the same choreo as everyone else but adds swag to his version They're all killing it, he just destroyed me a little more than the others did

Thank you for noticing their formation changes!! No one ever notices how hard they are- and the visuals created with the backup dancers -they were crazy ! Jimin’s head flips and strong arm movements in that ending are killer! His lines and body placement in his moves goes unrecognized many times - but always unreal! Nice to see them back to hard choreo - this is when they truly shine!

1) Yoongi is wrecking us all in this. 2) I LOVE your excitement because same here same! It’s like going back in time in the beginning when we were baby army. To have our minds blown to this extent!!!!!!! 🤯 I love that. It rejuvenated our passion for BTS even more if that was even possible! 3) This performance is just soooooo special it brought up so many different feelings. First it’s the goddamn best song ever and they know it! And they knew we were hungry for a matching choreo. There’s so much excitement, pride (my Jinnie did so well 🥹. My favorite thing about them is you can look at the dance practice unfocused or looking at a spot above the group and see the shapes they make and how in sync they are, but then you can focus on each one of them individually and they're all so different and bring they're own something extra to the choreo. BTS is truly greater than the sum of its part...which is saying a lot because the parts are 100/10. Also....JIIIIIIINNNNNNNN!!!!!!
Yes yes yes! I love that they don't try to look identical. They're in sync but JK dances like he's about to fight someone and Jimin dances like his rent is due and you could say something unique about every single one of them. Watching them all dance this well... It just warms my heart.

I feel you because I am very hard when I watch other K-pop groups because I expect them to be as immaculate as BTS is including hand placement. Got7 originally was the first group I saw that was super immaculate with their dances and that's probably why I started loving BTS initially as well because they were perfect on their choreography and synchronization.

I could've sworn I read that Sienna Lalau was the principal choreographer for this... but now I can't remember where I saw that. Anyway, whoever it was definitely did their research. You're the only reactor I've seen mention it, but I think this dance has TONS of references to other choreos, both others that Lalau did, like, "Dionysus," & more. I've been waiting for someone to do a, "things you didn't notice," style video pointing the references out. e.g. I'm convinced that the section when the backup dancers pull off their sweatshirts is a nod to the 2014 BTS - Block B Battle when Jimin had the sweatshirt malfunction before ripping his shirt off.
I think it's her choreo - she tweeted about it - but I can't find official credits anywhere. There was probably a team, but this looks like her work to me. I agree about the references to other choreo, too. 💜

The only reason their choreo makes an impact is cos they are 7 members who move so in sync as to make them look like one well-oiled machine. The same dance would not look good with just one member doing it regardless of how great a dancer they are. Yet some ppl in the comments see only one fave member like the other 6 are invisible. I guess its good they are doing individual projects now. The solo stans can happily and rightly focus on their bias and not have to pretend to be BTS fans.
