      The same happened with me lol he was playing very dubious but still had an accuracy of 51 I guess they use engine for some moves only
      Edit: no I'm not a sore loser I'm just telling about one person who was playing dubious I mean you can sometime tell the difference between computer and human moves. Yeah I shouldn't have said that last line tho I apologize.

    I played and lost to FOOLSMATES when he was around 1400. It was one of those losses where I blamed myself for seemingly not being able to play any good moves. This feels good

      @Vikram pretty much any rating plays top engine moves naturally, and honestly it's not surprising, if you are trading queens for example, when opponent takes your queen the best engine move is obviously to take back...

    Chess is a game that has fascinated me ever since my childhood.
    I'm a terrible chess player myself. But learning about Chess, learning it's history, it's lore, everything going on behind the scenes of chess. THAT fascinates me.

      Bots are usually really easy to spot. Usually. GMs can find them immediately, because they are so familiar with high level play that they can tell when a move looks off

      I mean tbf these are supposed to be 2200+ rated players. Good players do their thinking BEFORE pushing the pawn to defend. Hell, a lot of higher level players would premove the recapture

      @@trequor I have 2150elo in rapid at the moment and I could overthink a move and undermind another. I don't think that there must be a pattern. Also I bet that some of my moves look like engine moves, just because I train with engines.
      I also am very curious to understand how they get the cheaters

      @@berberic GMs train with engines. It's still very obvious when people are using engines instead of playing themselves. Time management is one aspect that really gives it away.
      You wouldn't spend 15 seconds calculating before moving a pawn to defend a piece, then spend ANOTHER 15 seconds before recapturing with that pawn on the next move. It's not how human beings think.

      To be fair, the best way to design a chess engine would be to have a massive amount of recorded games and to use statistics about local state transitions in the tree of possible moves to determine the best next move. But in the absence of a statistical level of confidence it would probably just rely on heuristics about piece trade scores and controlling space.
      Meaning, the moves with reliable statistical data will be considered good to a human player, but the moves with an insufficient statistical level of confidence would be considered absurd to someone who can look ahead positionally with a bigger sense of strategy
