Woah. This is the most beautiful rendition of this song I've ever heard. Your voice is shockingly warm, comprehensive, smooth, and gentle. Especially for this song. I think you got just enough of a bright tone to it for it to be pop, yet it's still unearthly beautiful.
Plus, the simple instrumentation of the piano (fantastic job) and vocalizing, little else, makes the song easy to listen to. Many pop songs nowadays kind of have a bit of a chaotic feel to them but I didn't get that vibe with this rendition. Fabulous.

I dunno, I feel like his delivery of the song, even with the smiles, is captivating. I feel like his smile is exasperated and not one of enjoyment or happiness. Have you ever gotten so tired of something that you're just laughing bitterly at it? That's what I think he was trying to convey. The notes are too high and the tempo is too fast for it to be that kind of sad.

This song was a theme song for a Supergirl love story video.
Ironically, a few years later I fell in love with a special someone from my university. And this song played in my head while I walked and saw her, this charming and unattainable person... Nothing actually happened, however, now she left the university and I won't get to see her anymore. She was a good friend, a mentor, and my muse for writing poetry. Our last conversation was her very warm but clear 'goodbye', and I knew it was coming. I just kind of hoped it wouldn't actually happen. I still find her so inspiring, so great, yet, I know I will have to let go of her. Memories of her are so vivid, and the emotional connection we had was amazing.
We were never a couple but her sweet and gentle love was everything to me. Unfortunately, we couldn't be together. But this song was kind of like our theme. She is forever in my heart.
If you're going through a break-up or just recovering from any other kind of sad love story - stay strong.
