Our air force is severely depleted. The only capable one's are the 260 Su - 30 MKI (4th generation) and 36 Dassualt Rafale (4.5 generation). So on total we have 296 capable fighter jets and we have zero 5th generation stealth jets meanwhile China has over 1000 fighter jets and some 200 of those are their indigenously developed Chengdu J-20 5th gen jets. We are already 600 - 700 jets short. We'll have to place another 100 Rafale F4 from France and at least 200 Su-57 Stealth jets from Russia if we were to stand against China.

This is a reality that is internationally recognized. Indian Defence is not modern and demotivated. Once the two front war starts India will loose lot of area in its north and north east along the border with China , as well as Kashmir and Punjab area. Plus they are very determined soldiers, if task is given then it will be done at any cost wether intestine comes out or leg blown.

India if it wants to hurt China is to rapidly develop its industries to replace China as manufacturer to the world. India allows foreign companies into India only as joint ventures with many restrictive rules. This has hampered India manufacturing development since 1990's until now. India needs to loosen some rules if it wants to grown rapidly and compete against China. Also more building a free trade zone with excellent infrastructure investment basics like reliable roads, ports, electricity, water, sanitation, tax laws and government policies that are conducive to foreign investment.
Technically speaking, they aren't wrong. While I am proud of the Indian Air Force, I do believe that modernization is something we haven't been able to do much in all the arms. We'll get there though.
There is always room for improvement. We are doing it in our own ways with the resources we have. We need to grow economically and militarily.
Tbh the Navy is technologically superior of the other two arms right now.

Let me enlighten people who forgot history (im not taking sides here) India owned all the lands of Tibat, Pakistan, Butan, Bangladesh etc. None of them were ever part of China. Before it was part of India they were all small kingdoms of there on until India untited all these kingdoms into one by Mauryan empire then by Mughal empire (and they all had same culture and traditions like India before they were united together). Tbh India gave freedom to these lands after the British left and didn't want people be held by force so they split. But if China says it was part of there country then History and Culture says otherwise (look up what kind of religion and language they use then you would understand).

My understanding is that logistics and transportation (roads, rail) do not necessarily favor China as described although China has recently done much to fix this deficiency in the localized areas of conflict. But, even the efforts so far cannot address the fundamental problem that the areas of conflict are within a couple hundred miles of Indian air pases and other centers of resupply and resources whereas from China's perspective is on the far side of an enormous desert, over 400 miles from large airbases that can be used by military aircraft and logistical supplies.
This means that for China, the areas of conflict could almost be on another planet, with no porspects of reinforcement, resupply or air cover. Forces would literally be on thier own indefintely.
As the video says, India's lack of modernization and reliance on old Russian technology has only been good enough to achieve a stalemate until now, but with China's new and recent aggressiveness India has recognized the need to redress the balance and has committed to an upgrade starting with a handful of French Rafale fighter jets. A generational commitment will be made soon to stand up to China should China decide to commit a large amount of its latest aircraft to the region, but it should be noted that if China were to do something of the sort, it would mand ending its ambitions towards Taiwan and the South China Sea. If India entered into a mutual security treaty with countries in these other areas, it would cement China's inability to concentrate forces in the Himalaysa (and might affect China's aggressiveness in those other areas as well).
For the immediate future, India has substantial geographical advantages that are fundamental to logistics, so the Himalayas don't have to be more than a major area of concern that needs constant watching.

1) war is all about logistics, In the past 2 weeks India have demonstrated their utter inability to even transport the existing stockpile of oxygen to their capital, how are you expecting them to support any meaningful large scale operation on the roof of the world?
2) A war in the Himalayas even if it happens, would be heavily reliant on air superiority, Chinese air force as a generational edge over India. When war starts the sides with the stealth fighter wins, simple as that. In this case it's China with the upper hand.
3) The so called war experience. is often overrated, here's a simple logic. Did the war experience of WW2 helped the US in the Korean war? did the Korean war experience help the US in the Vietnam war? The answer is No.
Because each war is different with different terrain and different enemy fought under different constraints and circumstances. You can't transfer your experience like you do in video games.
