6th mistake is not realizing that "almost all" crypto youtubers are bought and paid for , directly or indirectly. So when they talk about a project under the title of " educational content" ... RUN ( or at least use risk management ) ... there is no education , there is only "grift" 😉

sixth mistake: never take profit. I bought at the bottom in december 2018 but I didn't sell anything in 2021...just hold...so my portfolio went from x20 to current x3...why I didn't sell? Because I'm stupid. learning to make a profit is as important as making a good purchase. even Toby said he didn't sell in the 2013 bull market thinking Bitcoin would go up forever. You don't learn until you hit your head on it. I'm still x3 but I want to take profit next time...hoping there will be a next time

Totally agree. I should have cashed out on the way up during the last bull run but thought the bull run had further to run. I told myself this as the market topped and most of the way down. I listened to the likes of that fool George from CryptoRUs who kept telling his followers that the bull run was not over even though it was.
This time I will stick to my dollar average withdrawal plan and takes profits incrementally on the way up during the next bull run.

#6 After purchasing crypto and you are transferring it from an exchange to your cold storage wallet. Transfer a very small amount initially to make it sure it goes through, once it does than send the rest. If your receiving address is not entered in correctly for the transfer that crypto is lost forever.
Another one... Don't believe the hype, don't be influenced by influencers on UA-cam, social media etc. who are often paid large amounts of money to promote coins. (not you guys)

5. impulsive moves on emotion investing more than you can lose
I've made most of the rookie mistakes. I've avoided some. Live, learn, and love crypto!
I did FOMO in to a handful of coins including Bitcoin at $51,000 because everyone was saying it was going to $90,000 or more.
Me to 42k kept buying now have 11 BTC avg now 25500 but have to wait till 2025 cash out to stable coin
"Dont invest what you arent comfortable losing". Same advice i give when it comes to gambling at the casino.

Basically sound advise particularly not chasing assets and diversification are valid points for any investment. I want to highlight though that most decisions aren’t made purely rational and that isn’t a problem I would say gut feeling is often quiet right just not always. Similar just investing in an asset because the price is seemingly low can be a trap with any investment.
I wished the CT club folks were more active. Sometimes I post a question, there isn't much interaction happening. Sometimes none at all. Oh well😊
Use that as an indicator in itself, notice how quiet it is, notice how busy it is when Bitcoin is running

Buying Bitcoin on FOMO at the very top of 2013 bull market still beats 99% of other investments had you held on until today, even though it is currently down over 50% from the top.
The biggest mistake is listening and following YT and twitter influencers. Just watch them for entertainment and for pretty faces, but don't follow their advice!
