Great video with solid information. I like how you didn’t recommend any of those annoying spinning wheels or countdowns. They’re so annoying when shopping online.
Very helpful!, one thing I noticed as well is how the site is structured around logic which says a lot about their market research instead of going with emotion driven sales with women based brands
Hey Brendan! Great info - found your channel when trying to sort branded emails - now I'm hooked. Been wanting to overhual our old site (4 years since last update) to a more mobile friendly / better converting version. THIS IS THE YEAR! Any tips would be great. - Was thinking of switching to Prestige Shopify theme with some customisation. Love your thoughts on best mobile themes too - especially for brands with heavy customisation. - thanks again for all the great info! Mel. (Australia)
Hey Mel! Thanks for the feedback. With themes, to be honest comes down to personal preference on design and the features you want. If you use a theme in the official theme store, and read the reviews, then you can go wrong. All themes are vetted by Shopify and highly customisable
You can do a review of our store if you like :) We have an endless list of changes & updates we want & need to do, but would be great to hear your opinion of what you would be focusing on.
I appreciate the video, but I do feel you're really downplaying the importance of desktop vs. mobile web design. Market research really shows the following breakdown of sales by device type: A comparison of mobile and desktop use shows that 58% of all multi-device purchases are completed on mobile. Nevertheless, desktops are also crucial in this situation. After all, using a bigger screen makes website browsing much simpler. 37.08% of traffic is desktop, while 60.66% is mobile. And tablets account for the smallest portion, at 2.26%. I would say that design for desktop is still fairly crucial to consider.
Brilliant video but I cant find how to change the 'Shipping Calculated at Checkout' text on the product page so it shows all taxes & shipping included. Any advice?
@@allyceshouseofragrance Hi, you will find it in Edit Default Theme Content, Under Cart & Products (don't confuse it with Product, Products is in the three dots section). I highly recommend making a copy of your store before making any changes, then if you mess it up it doesn't affect your already current store.

Thanks! Yep too many people teach gimmicks these days when you just need to do the basics right
Hey Brendan. Great content as always. We run a consumer electronics e-commerce business based in Sydney. Would love if you could audit our store.
Great! What's your store?
Are there any particular areas of your store's performance that you're looking to improve ?
No idea how I got in here but I'm glad I did. Sick information, thanks for video!

It's dependent on the category and the person buying. For the majority of stores I have looked at, it's still 80% mobile, 20% desktop
Bring it on
Let's gooooo !
