So cool to see the whale bones and hear you can learn about them there. Aw so cool seeing the different sea life you got to capture on your camera. Cool to hear it freezes over but they have ice breakers now.

Never heard of this village before but now I wanna go! That's such an adventure seeing the whales and eating authentic First Nations food. I felt like I was watching a documentary, which I absolutely love. Lovely shots of the village and its history. Musings and Adventures.

Thank you, Ena. This is just 3 hours north of Quebec. I'd love to return and do the Lighthouse Road.

Yes to wine and most especially to watching the whales! They are such beautiful creatures! It must be cold tho, I see you are all fully cloth! Still, you had so much fun! And those seal are the most adorable and camera ready! :))))

Loved those posing harbor seals for sure. We were definitely cold but the next day with the sun out was much better.

I love learning things about my own country. We tend to equate whale watching with just the east and west coasts, but this place is lovely and looks like the perfect way to spend a day - whale watching-eating-wine-learning-more eating!

I've never even heard of this area, but as a wildlife lover, it seems like a place I have to visit. "Today whales are hunted by tourists with cameras", might be the most brilliant travel quote I've hears.

Ahhhh, thanks. My guy, a fisherman, started that saying as he now hunts fish with his Go Pro!

Good to see whales and the interpretation center. Such remote places always make me wonder how people traveled to these places in good old days.

It was a vital trading post situated at the tip of a peninsula and easier for schooners and native peoples to get to and out than venturing into the fjords.

Yes, it wasn't easy. Lots of wrecks before they understood the dangers of ice and rocks. The First Nation people traded there for centuries before the European schooners showed up.

I haven't gone whale watching in years. The waters look beautiful. I need to get up that way.

Love your whale calls. It looks like a beautiful area of Canada and very interesting too. Good food and wine to end the day is always a good option.
