Found you via the Wheelchair Rapunzel thread on Kiwi Farms. You and WR could not be more different. You're a breath of fresh air over there and we all love you.

      Same.
Meg, you give me hope that if God forbid I ever experienced a medical trauma that permanently changes me, I, too, could be strong enough and brave enough to make it just another part of my story, and carve out a beautiful life for myself and my family.
I know all days can’t be easy but the fact that y’all eat cliff bars and jump off things on the anniversary of your accident makes me smile.
You’ve taken the power out of what was a tragedy and turned it into just another page in the book of your life and only that
You’ve taken the trauma out of it for your children too.
Maybe they don’t see it as “mommy got hurt, and now she can’t walk again,” Maybe instead it’s “ Mommy Changed and now has wheels to get everywhere. She wants to go.!”
It takes not just a strong person, but a strong personality to decide that they are going to take something like this, and not let it change them for the worst or destroy them completely
I’m just a stranger on the Internet, but Meg I am so proud of you, and I aspire to have your optimism

@@spiralrose Cliff Day could easily have been one of those "we don't talk about that" subjects since it happened long before the kids were born. Instead, she chooses to be open about it and make it a day of celebration rather than mourning. She's showing her girls that they can be open and forthcoming when they've made a mistake, no matter how earth-shattering.

I love watching all your videos and listening to your talks Meg! I've had the enormous pleasure of meeting you twice and I've always looked up to you since then. You are such an inspiration! Whenever I find myself thinking I can't or don't want to do something because I think its too hard, I tell myself "Stop being lazy! If Meg can do it, you can definitely do it!"

I was scrolling through random videos on UA-cam and found you by chance. I’m not someone to write comments but you are totally inspiring. I was asking God the same question that you did - I know you can heal but why is it that I’m not being healed of my blood issue that I’ve struggled with for 28yrs. I received an answer through you and it is true that I’ve been given more in life - a wonderful husband and a happy life.
Thank you for sharing your story!

I am so sorry for your tragedy and admire your positivity I myself have fallen off a 38 foot Cliff, I battled undiagnosed until 50 when it happens. Mine was a motorcycle accident . I changed on impact and became savant. Embrace your gifts you have a lot.😊😊😊 I am sorry for the jump around typing it's caused from the fall. I live with survivors guilt that I got off easy with a few broken bones and went into shock. The impact was so bad I bounced one as I hit. I have never had felt a impact so hard. You are inspiring and thank you for sharing! Cool you have a great husband I have a wife that is supportive. Sorry for the long reply I am happy to find someone that had the same fall distance.

Meg, so happy to see you and to hear your update after 20 years. I met you in SLC probably 10 years ago and was so inspired by your strength and love and pure light. At the time you hadn't had any children yet, so that will probably tell you how long ago it was. I'll never forget the lesson you taught about never looking back and regretting the things that occur in your life. We become the people we are BECAUSE of the experiences we have - good or bad - and you have contributed such an incredible testimony to me of learning from the trials of life for my good rather than wallowing because of them. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit. I know that God has guided you in your life to inspire others through your story.

You inspire me. I hope that if God forbid I am ever in an accident that changes me permanently, I can be like you, and choose to make a beautiful life and choose to see What God has opened for me after that door closed.
Thank you for sticking with your life even after this medical change, just by doing this, and never giving up, you are making so many people, braver, stronger, and more determined to take control of what they can, and create the lives that God wants for them.
    Thank you for your life

Did the doctors ever mention doing the same surgery on the other wrist, to give you the same gripping ability in that hand?
Also, love the turtle, so cute! Have you thought about having prints made of your paintings? Either sell just as prints or as greeting cards?

You are so kind! That turtle would look cute on greeting cards 💛💚 I decided not to do the surgery on both hands, I have learned to do different things with each hand 💕
