I assume you are referring to the velocity stacks? I dont think it matters and I suppose the redesigned them for some reason. Yes the Kawasaki originals were completely round.
What size are the fuel lines? Recommend any certain brand or where to purchase and how many feet? I appreciate you adding the oil line sizes. I need to replace the ones on my STS and STX.
The kawasaki has two different sized hoses. I think they are 5/16 and 1/4. I just bought regular fuel line off amazon. You could buy tygon fuel line. You need about five feet of each size.
I have read that some people say it does, however I cant see that it could possibly matter as the oil flows at the same rate through the hose when you prime the lines. You can watch this for yourself when you prime them with tygon lines. The lines are different lengths of course, but the flow rate is constant. Maybe it makes a difference on an ULTRA 150 as I have heard, but on the 900 and 1100 I dont think so.
Hi I just bought a 1998 Kawasaki STX 1100 a few weeks ago the previous owner did an oil pump delete and damage the third cylinder the engine is now rebuilt and I'm about to put it back in the jet ski I will now be premixing the oil I was just wondering if you might know if the bottom case gets its own oil I read online somewhere that it doesn't and just gets lubrication from premixed fuel hope someone can clarify this for me thank you 2:05
@IlirGashi-wg8kf I pour oil into the bottom end on a build just to have full lubrication on startup of a new build. Yes the engine gets oil from the fuel system as it runs so you dont put oil into the engine later just add it to your fuel. The oil pumps worked fine, it was the oil lines that were the problem. They break and cause cylinder damage. People went to premix to avoid this problem. Tygon oil lines with oetiker clamps solve this problem as well. Never loan your ski to people who might just put gasoline without oil mix if you run premix.
Good info! Thanks for posting and no BS just to fill time like most people do.
I try to make it fast and to the point.
Thanks for your videos! There isn't many stx 1100 rebuild videos on UA-cam
I found a few but they are Not very detailed. I tried to do a better job of explaining things.
Ty
Thank you! The hose to spin pump is great idea. I needed to know direction too. Excellent help.
I saw another guy with a short video do it this way so I cant take credit for that idea. It works far better using a hose attached to the pump.
May 2024 i got a 3 pack of velocity stacks for $15 on Amazon.
Man great video very helpful. I am going to pull out the oil pump like you said and prime it the same way.
It works well. I guess you could pull the lines and fill them with a syringe to do it faster.
My original came out completely round, but the one i bought no completely round just like on your video is gonna matter

@@ShadetreeJetski thank you!
Does it make a difference which line comes from the oil pump to which carberator?

😁👍😁👍
When can I take a test ride? Lol
Jet ski camping part 3? Goose Island.
Hello. Does it make a difference which line comes from the oil pump to a particular carb?
