I’m no Cowboys fan but I remember the significance of this game because what had happened in the previous meeting. Nothing like a big primetime road victory against ur biggest division rival with first place on the line on the same field u saw ur playoff hopes evaporate a season prior in embarrassing fashion
Back when NFC East was one of the powerhouse divisions in the league and NFC West was like the least division in the league. Today it all shifted the other way.
If I'm not mistaken, this was the year where the Cowboys swept the Eagles, the Eagles swept the Giants, the Giants swept the Cowboys, and everyone swept the Redskins lol
I miss watching Romo vs McNabb bro. Dallas vs Philadelphia rivalry hasn't hit the same since those two retired. Hurts has some McNabb in him and Reagor has DJax/Maclin potential just needs to stay healthy so maybe we'll get back to these type of atmosphere games.
Romo vs mcnabb and Romo vs Manning were great games. Now the nfc east all has trash qbs now. Wentz was great for a short time but eagles were always injured at receivers oline, and everything. Washington and New York are such trash that it doesn't matter. And cowboys have a great oline and amazing receiving core. And Elliott is great when they aren't using him sporadically in a game. But qb duels aren't really a thing in the nfc east anymore.
McDermott got a raw deal in Philly. Scapegoated by Reid. I'm glad he went on to have such success. Andy Reid's last couple years in Philly was a sad joke. Pathetic, truly.
@@thecensoredmuscle563 yep between week 17 and the wild card game the eagles went from possible 2 seed to wild card round on the road and then McNabb has his worst game imo
I miss competitive rivalries like the eagles and cowboys as well as the giants eagles rivalry it’s still pretty competitive but it used to hit different back then
Kind of, the defense was extremely inconsistent and the stats were very inflated by a few games where they played outstanding. They would hold a team to like 7 points 1 week then the next week a team would score 30 something points. They also were pretty terrible at getting turnovers. One of the worst in the league.
As an Eagles fan looking back on how McNabb played, I must say I've taken him for granted in the years since. Romo is equally impressive compared to what Dallas has put out at QB since.
@@erocs9747 yeah youre right. I mistaken. Kolb went down with a concussion and in enter Vick. He did such a amazing job against green Bay that it was clear that he was going to be the starter. I remember that game...
I'm not an Eagles fan, but man were they ever robbed. That was clearly a first down by McNabb and Michaels actually came up with a good idea with using the Eagles logo. If that call is reversed the Cowboys would've never gotten that touchdown.
The eagles could have been the NFC 2th seed with a bye and at least 1 home playoff game. And the eagles couldn't beat thae cowboys that season. Losing this game and the week 17 game that cost the eagles the NFC east and a bye.
If this eagles team were to run our brotherly shove play on that 4th and inches play the refs got clearly wrong, McNabb and co would have scored and most likely won the game.
Miles Austin had his best year as a Cowboy

Well said
Let's go!! Romos first playoff win this season against the eagles weeks later
Not a fan of either but losing jamal iackson and mcnabb aged it seemd all the sudden since that week 17 game that year
Back when NFC East was one of the powerhouse divisions in the league and NFC West was like the least division in the league. Today it all shifted the other way.
Yep so true
I agree 💯
Yeah, not exactly. NFC East is the best division in football in 2022.
NFC West is mid-level
Alternate title:

Of the NFC East -competing- being a top tier division.
Well this comment aged poorly. Which division has the most wins in football right now? LOL
We lost to Dallas 3 times during this season, it sucked.
If I'm not mistaken, this was the year where the Cowboys swept the Eagles, the Eagles swept the Giants, the Giants swept the Cowboys, and everyone swept the Redskins lol
I enjoyed it though. I hate the eagles.

Dak and wentz was a thing but wentz... well he’s keeping the bench nice and warm, and dak and hurts aren’t exactly the same
In 2010, Vick vs Romo duel was as tense too.
Prescott vs. Hurts will be fun going forward

well this didn't age well. lol
Sean McDermott as a DC then, learning under the guidance of Andy Reid and now a Coach on his own and winning AFC East 👍
Ya they fired him before the dream team offseason cause my packers and jame starks left them with a bad taste and they hired castillo as dc smh lol
McDermott got a raw deal in Philly. Scapegoated by Reid. I'm glad he went on to have such success. Andy Reid's last couple years in Philly was a sad joke. Pathetic, truly.
Facts!!! It was really telling when they went on a spending spree for that dream team. Then he hired a OLine coach to be DCordinator smh
Some holiday magic is going to go down in this game...it’s going to be one for the ages
That was one hell of a route/footwork by Miles
2:30 I shouldn't laugh but JP is ALWAYS hurt. Man can never play a full game
This was after the Eagles beat the Cowboys 44-6 that sent them to the playoffs. REVENGE!
Yeah, it's weird how 44-6 is looked back on more. Even though you beat us 3 times the following year.
In 1966 the cowboys beat the eagles 66-7
@@thebigonethetcotgwgod 56-7* Still utter humiliation tho
@Keith Cousins yeah yeah u mad eagle

Was just looking for a Mcnabb Romo game to watch and this uploads
As a packer fan i still love it
back when the NFC east wasn't a laughingstock in the NFL
Jay Ratliff 👍, one of my favorite All time Cowboys. Fun to watch, he is underrated.
This season was a clean sweep of the Philly Eagirls.. Cowboys all day every day..
Still can't believe between week 17 and the playoff game the eagles got throttled
2:35 when they finally call my number at the deli.
2009 was year of Miles Austin
Sure was. He was extremely popular but boy he fell away
That was a positive thing, because they no longer had T.O., Roy Williams was playing terribly, Patrick Crayton was no longer worth much.
Leonard davis was a scary looking massive lineman at his best
My favorite rivalry of all-time in the NFC Division.
Back when watching football was fun
7:41 Bro Witten is WIDEEEEE open 😭😭
that was a good game
Leonard weaver year
Is this the game where McNabb was playing the air guitar before the game? That was funny as hell!
That was at jerry world
That was the next week in wild card.

Do Tony Gonzales playing against the Chiefs as a Falcon in his final season in 2012
Yes!
Beat Philly , not once , not twice, but three times that year. 😂🤣
Losing jamal jackson before the playoffs hurt them badly and mcnabb aged quickly after leaving
Can you upload a classic rams/seahawks matchup? I know you have done that before but there have been so many through the years...
Romo and McNabb
Back when the cowboys actually had a defense
Wade phillips is like norv turner where hes a great coordinator and just not a good head coach

That week 17 game ruined their confidence

Why did they get rid of Mcnabb?
He was nearing end of his career and they wanted to build around Mike Vick

Cant believe the refs screwed the eagles with that spot. How is that not indisputable evidence? Crazy
Wish Austin's hammies were built for football. They seemed to give way every 3-4 weeks.
Refs know they foul for that call. That gave the cowboys the game
Still cant believe they let Dawkins go
Broncos offered alot with mcdaniels running the show in denver
Sad how Romo never gave Witten a post season TD.
Witten fell short of the endzone more than once in playoffs. Getting a nice pass then falling at the 1 yard line or 2 yard line.
I didn't remember Mccoy wore 29
#30 was taken by his team mate Geoff Pope who was off the team next season
