My therapist tried EMDR with me pretty early on. My view on this is that it's sort of like hypnotism in the sense that it doesn't work if you're too aware of *how* it's supposed to work. A lot of it is subconscious. Part of why I needed therapy to begin with, in my personal opinion, was that I was too aware of my subconscious (I realize that seems like an oxymoronic statement). I've heard that EMDR works really well for some people, though!
ok part 2, lets go I like your narration and calm voice eventhou the game got you jumpy, and I also like when you giggling sometimes 😂 Thank you for the video
I love how concerned he is about the resale value. Don't worry. It's a seller's market right now - Satan and his nephew could be living in the laundry room and it'd still go $50K over asking price.
Love the art style, atmosphere and sound design in this game! There's not much to it in terms of gameplay, but it all still comes out as a really creepy experience in whole. Thanks for playing this!
The doll maker was an interesting and unexpected twist. I remember when you played the demo, you got caught near the abattoir. Nice how they've changed it up in the full version. Looking forward to part 3.
"Side effects may include: grunting, confusion, irrational need to go into spider tunnels, hallucinations, removal of eyes...if you experience any of these, seek medical treatment or go to the abattoir."
EMDR therapy is interesting. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing...Learned a bit about it in college. Never practiced or gone through it myself. Love how it applies to this game though.
Times like these that you wish there's a reusable wheel handle, so you don't have to keep hunting for one, every time you need to progress through the game.
Hapy to see chris again today! Honestly I was waiting for some of chase/hiding action on the dollmaker section, a shame there wasn`t. Still great video and a good game
I guess it would be better not letting Ben to sell his basement for now. Just think about it... if he would ever come alive from this adventure he could be stuck in a bloody legal war with Marcus and other survivors on the ownership issue...
You probably get a lot of messages like these, but I just found your channel earlier today and I had to subscribe after one video. Your content is frequent, high quality, and majorly horror oriented! It’s actually perfect!! Your commentary is gentle, entertaining, and easy to listen to. I’m genuinely shocked you’re not more popular, but I’m definitely going to binge watch your channel during free time 💕 I can’t wait for you to reach 100K !
I cannot begin to tell you how much the music in the Abbatoir creeped me out. Yes, even more than ... everything else about this game ;-) . So, if eyes are windows to the soul, and the soul can be marked by the unnatural that you see, are people digging out (I guess? Ugh) their eyes to "close the windows"? Or to satiate their micro-transaction addiction; maybe those last two "secrets" will finally be the ones needed? No, wait, that doesn't scan with the apathy of "Don't worry about it(, the monster's going to eat you anyway, so just get it over with)." Unless... the last two secrets were no help, and then there you are, still deep in wherever, and now blind. That sounds like a recipe for apathy/hopelessness. But... what happened to their _clothes_ ? And hair, for that matter? 😆😆😆 Great playthrough, and great to see the full game living up to the potential of the demo. And my sympathies, since you are so not getting out of this place (even if it is only in your mind, or definitely if not). Too bad, now you know, mysteriously-appearing doors are to be *_ignored_* in future (as if you had a future).
I'm not surprised Chris chose this game. I mean, who can resist such a title? So glad you found your flashlight, Chris!! I was really getting tired of watching you grope around in the dark. I tried opening the blinds to help you see better, but that never seems to work.
Honestly these kind of games are fun to play but boring to watch. I love playing Painscreek Killings, Infra, or Ethan Carter. Fun to play, Bor for watching I prefer games like Paper dolls, in sound mind, outlast 2.....
It's on purpose to get the 90s look. Not that any of these asset flips will be able to represent a proper horror game, but at least the pixelation is charming
@@xNachtmahRx As a child of the 90s I can confirm that this is in fact not the 90s look. Maybe that's what you naughties kids think it looked like back then? :)
@@MayaPosch As a child of the 80s, I can pretty much confirm this is the 90s look (see: Quake, 1996, for instance - the first "true" 3D FPS game). The only thing different here is the superior lighting model, which makes it look a LOT better than what it would look in the 90s. Also, I personally very much like the pixelated visuals - it gives the game a specific kind of charm.
@@xNachtmahRx There is a difference between using publically available assets not custom-made to your specific game and an asset flip. This is definitely not an asset flip.
Okay 2:17 is straight comedy gold. “Or he is really excited” thank you for that, I laughed for a solid minute.
No matter what else happens, you found your flashlight. 🔦 And, apparently, made some inhabitants *very* happy. ❤️ 😬 🤣
I saw you in almost CJU's videos
i get such strong Lost in Vivo vibes from this game, which i love

Every time you leave a save room without saving it stresses me out SO MUCH lol

Everyday I look for your videos! And I’m never disappointed. Your narration is the best!
This game is actually pretty intriguing. I’m enjoying the story and curious what’s going to happen with Marcus too!
I've been throwing "fecking hells" left and right because of Chris 😂 English is not even my native language.
Liking this. Not much to it but it’s done very well. This weird place is genuinely creepy and loving the sound as well.
11:40 - that's probably the reason behind "serene people" - they are reflections of how Ben responded to medication and EMDR. No eyes, right?
The doll maker was an interesting and unexpected twist. I remember when you played the demo, you got caught near the abattoir. Nice how they've changed it up in the full version. Looking forward to part 3.
*_Save! Save!_* he screams. Three stops later, Chris finally does... Argh.
Right?! The only person who sees a checkpoint and ignores it completely 😂
You are not the only one screaming at the screen for that one.
That's me whenever he doesn't.
'Very creepy... And creaky as well' 😂😂😂 waiting for part III!
This is one of your games that the ending of the last video struck me the most especially the lore
Spacious garage, quiet neighbors, already furnished, a zen garden, a pool!
2:18 CJU says "either they are very excited or they are holding a weapon" and I don't believe he said that 🤣🤣🤣🤣 lol
According to google, sibyl is a term for certain ancient prophetesses, so the function of the character is pretty fitting
"Side effects may include: grunting, confusion, irrational need to go into spider tunnels, hallucinations, removal of eyes...if you experience any of these, seek medical treatment or go to the abattoir."
I really love watching chris..playing horror games...specially his funny commentary. I wish this Channel grow..like a mount Everest !!

Fantastic! I was hanging out for the next part to this weird and creepy game.

>kind NPC says not to go in the water
>the rapscallion up and does it anyway
Chris goes ABSOLUTE MADLAD mode! Mum's gonna freak!
I always wonder if the npc says that because they want to trick you or not

Okay, the moment when dark psybient kicks in, it suddenly sells!
You missed cybil he was under them stairs you came up to the locked gate from. But you will see him again.
I think in this case, Cybil is a she.
Lots of little sections from demo in this part, half of it was familiar (more or less). This game is super creepy, and I like it.
Yay 😀 part 2 whoooooooo great 👍🏼 play through Chris xx 😘.
that's a good game, haven't been that spooked in a long time
I'm eager to watch part 3 now!

Guy: What's going on?
Zombies: fuhgeddaboudit
I'm really enjoying this. Top notch!😁👍
6:41 That guy could use some oil.
You got yourself a next subscribe, mate. I am a sucker for your walkthroughs🤩
Good watch-- liking this series a lot.
Weird game but I like it, maybe you can try dinner with an owl if you haven't seen or played it yet.
thank you so much! you made this part so fast!!! we love you!!!😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️
The "very excited" part was very good hahaha ( I mean it )
Still love this game
Can't wait for more!
hell YEAAAAA so happy to see part 2!!
Some great scares in this one
You are the best, thanks for sharing!
Amm.. either they are very excited or they are holding a weapon~!
Cool stuff ! so bad that we won't have the end next time but "after next time" !!
Can't wait for part 3!
I'm just about to catch up with this episode but all I can think is ' damn, that's a nice green shirt'.
On a positive note, maybe the wife will never ask you to visit the basement again 😆
"All of my no!" -Everyone nodding in agreement
6:41 *insert meme with kid looking from side to side*
This game is like if inside and lost in vivo had a baby
Wait a minute... this isn't the Chris Joseph University.
Bad jokes aside i'm glad youre playing this! Keep up the great videos!
highly enjoying this one CJ, cheers for playing it
I think they are very excited
Its not really horror but I think it'd be really fun to watch your gameplay of Biomutant! 😊( and I just love your gameplays in general )
So many eyes!
2:16 Lol
I hope the game has a good ending with the protagonist finding the box
Ooof, it gave me lots of anxiety see you keep not saving the game in the save rooms o_O
Makes me think of the water monster from amnesia 😣😣
"Just a sound effect."
Don't worry about it
Omg 2:19 XD LMFAO
Was Marcus getting stabbed and just not talking about it ?!
Sooo ther is a Flashlight!
Honestly these kind of games are fun to play but boring to watch.
I love playing Painscreek Killings, Infra, or Ethan Carter.
Fun to play,
Bor for watching I prefer games like Paper dolls, in sound mind, outlast 2.....
Gg, I like it
Lesson to learn: Don't get lost in the basement.
Why do you never save haha
❤❤❤
1st like again
Too bad that the visuals in this game are so terrible. Wish there was a way to disable this filter that adds super-jaggies to everything.
