So many Elliott covers are sung either too "dramatically" or too "dry" but you gave it exactly the right energy and included all of the nuances that make the personality of his songs so special.... All while completely being your own thing at the same time. Your voice sounds like a golden candle flame! 😁 So impressive!

Stunned. In awe. I'm surprised I clicked on this, because - who can add anything to Elliot's songs worthy of a cover, right? Then you started singing. The lower register, the almost hollow reverb, and the way that you manage to sing behind the note, somehow slowing the song down, felt like I was being pulled along, drawn in, helpless. And the absolutely haunting emotion, like a pain drowned in numbness, just peeking above the water enough to make itself heard. Thank you, so much, for making me hear this song again, new, for the first time in decades. Elliot would be crying. I certainly am.

I was signed by BMG when Elliott was...got to see him for free a handfull of times. Got his capo from the first Henry Fonda show near the end. Some guy played me the full studio version of Sorry My Mistake once...wish I could hear it again!

Holy shit, learning the song is a challenge, but being able to also sing along with it is super impressive 👍
I spent a good two months tryin to learn the intro - about a year later I' finally feel like I've got it down. It's really all about the thumb. I think the hardest bit is actually the strumming bit during the verses to be honest, I think a lot of people just assume it would be the intro but that strumming bit is quite tech coz he hits each bass note so perfectly in between strums, as well as singing. It's no joke that! You're doing it perfectly also btw ! This is a fucking great cover nice one
