Hi Penny in this current economic climate many of us are looking at more affordable alternatives, so this type of video is always welcome. What's different about your videos is how close in formulation/INCI list they are. It's easier to find a similar shade in something, than to find a similar formulation and I'm usually confident if you say it's VERY similar it will be. I like the Niod photography fluid that gives a bit of subtle highlight (around £20), but it's pricey for something I use more as a makeup product than skincare. I got a really good dupe/alternative from madaboutskin that I've been loving - the Boots glow serum. Here in the UK it's £4 and there is nothing in it I can't use on my hypersensitive, rosacea and eczema prone skin. A lot of the Boots glow range has pineapple and fragrance, but this one doesn't. I believe a lot of the Boots range are available in the US, so hopefully this one is there. Unlike a normal highlighter with real shimmer (or really not for me glitter - 50 year old extra dry skin), this looks like a glow and a pearlescent effect - even in daylight. On my really dry skin used in strategic areas it's a healthy glow and not obvious highlight. Don't get me wrong I like highlight and wear it as part of a full face makeup, but for the days where I've gone for softer makeup this isn't too much. Comments like your skin is so pretty have been said - if they only knew it is more of a dab hand with a makeup brush. My skin has been going mental lately and the rosacea has been flaring. Keeping the makeup soft and covering the redness as lightly as possible looks better on my really dry skin, but cheating a bit of glow is a trick to looking healthier lol. Best wishes. ps I'll try the tanning drops as I've always fancied the tan luxe ones - although what always stopped me was how rarely I wear self tan and the price. x

I am soooo excited. This Kosas Tinted Oil is my favorite foundation ever but I had to save up for it after getting a sample I fell in love with. MY Tip: Some days I just use it under my eyes - it’s just beautiful as a concealer - light weight & light/ medium coverage. Now I don’t have to save my Kosas for “Special Days”. I can use mine up and enjoy it knowing that your dupe is already in my cart. Plus: I’ve been trying to buy the Charlotte Tilbury Glow stick for over a year and it is always sold out everywhere. First, I want to say that I don't understand why anyone would use the Tan Luxe over the Loreal dupe since the Tan Luxe has so many bad ingredients and the Loreal has none. BUT there is something everyone should know. Most of my skin care routine is geared toward fighting hyperpigmentation because when I was young there was NO sunscreen and growing up in the south on the coast, we laid out in the sun ... a lot ... had great tans that we are paying for now. I have one spot on my cheek that is darker than the other spots and I had it almost lightened to the point it was invisible. I have not been in the sun in years and do miss my tan so when I saw you with the Loreal Sublime Bronze drops, I knew I HAD to try it. They work! And they work very quickly. After only two uses, they darkened all my hyperpigmentation to the point that, not only can I see the dark spot I have been diligently working on, but they also darkened all the spots that I had pretty much erased! So disappointed. Not going to put it on my face anymore. Maybe I'll just have tanned arms and legs. 😁

I will say a major difference between the Loreal Sublime Bronze and the Tan Luxe is that the Tan Luxe has the addition of erythrulose, a newer tanning agent that is more natural looking and longer lasting. I specifically look for this ingredient! But I did find a dupe for those drops! The "tanologist" drops in extra dark!
I love the Filter by Molly Mae! I also use the Tan Luxe instant bronze and Sally Hansen airbrush legs to touch up any funny spots! I do not go in the sun at all without spf on my whole body!

Fantastic dupes video! Those sponges are a must, and so is the Maybelline Tinted Oil. Really looking forward to purchasing these. I loved L’Oréal Sublime Self tanning lotion, but they stopped making the product I used a year ago. So happy to know they have the drops, since their new version that is lotion based doesn’t work that great. Definitely going to see if my Target has that. I love the Tan-Luxe The Face drops. I also love The Water and The Butter from their line. I haven’t seen the dupe here in Australia yet but I’ll keep my eye out for it. I wonder if the Thank you Farmer spf is similar to Supergoop Glow Screen. Not sure what the difference in price is. Ultra Violette has a new product called Dream Screen Tinted Veil SPF50 (and you know Australian sunscreens are the best), and it’s got more pigment than I was expecting. It’s great on its own but when I want a tinted moisturiser effect, I mix the Dream Screen and Glow Screen together and it’s so good. If you can get Ultra Violette in the US, I highly recommend trying it with the Thank You Farmer shimmer spf. 🥰
Well I’m going on the hunt for that one now! I haven’t heard of it so maybe we can’t get it here? So the TYF is a little more sheer with the glow than the SG GS in my opinion. Also, the GS burned my eyes so bad I had to skip all makeup/skincare for a few days after bc my eyes would not stop weeping. Crazy! I know that’s incredibly personal (and so many love the GS) but dang, it was awful. The TYF doesn’t ever both my eyes (but again, I know it’s personal). I hope you are well! Penny, have you ever tried Paula's Choice Omega Complex Serum??? Or Kate Somerville Delikate Recovery Serum? I got both recently and absolutely LOVE both formulations. They both contain ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids. The Paula's Choice one contains several high-linoleic acid oils and linoleic/linolenic acid as well and is much cheaper than the Kate Somerville one. I LOVE both though so much and they're both so soothing.
I have been wanting to try the Kosas oil foundation for some time and I bought the Maybelline one and I was still wanting to try the Kosas. Thanks 🙏 now I know I am not missing anything.

I just picked up the Kopari shimmering oil/gel SPF 50 (body). It smells coconut-so if you like that it’s worth looking in to. I’m not sure how I feel about gel/oil sunscreen but it sure is glimmery gorgeousness 😍

Hi Penny! Have you ever tried facial cupping? I recently incorporated it into my night routine about 3 days a week and have definitely noticed an improvement in my fine lines when I'm consistent with it. I use a silicone suction cup all over my face right after I apply my oil cleanser since it gives it the slip it needs. Love your videos, especially dupes!

I actually haven’t ever tried that one (kind of hard to believe honestly, I feel like I’m my own beauty experiment lol). Maybe I’ll test it for you and see? The only thing that could be troublesome is the oil interfering with the tanner getting to the skin. But that’s just me thinking without any actual experience. I’ll report back! ❤️

Penny, have you ever tried Paula's Choice Omega Complex Serum??? Or Kate Somerville Delikate Recovery Serum? I got both recently and absolutely LOVE both formulations. They both contain ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids. The Paula's Choice one contains several high-linoleic acid oils and linoleic/linolenic acid as well and is much cheaper than the Kate Somerville one. I LOVE both though so much and they're both so soothing.

I just picked up the Kopari shimmering oil/gel SPF 50 (body). It smells coconut-so if you like that it’s worth looking in to. I’m not sure how I feel about gel/oil sunscreen but it sure is glimmery gorgeousness 😍

I bought the Beakey sponges on Amazon on the recommendation of another UA-cam (I don't remember who). They are $9.99 for 5. They do not rip and tear like the Beauty Blender or the Real Techniques sponges.
Hi Penny! Have you ever tried facial cupping? I recently incorporated it into my night routine about 3 days a week and have definitely noticed an improvement in my fine lines when I'm consistent with it. I use a silicone suction cup all over my face right after I apply my oil cleanser since it gives it the slip it needs. Love your videos, especially dupes!

FYI I also tried the Jergen’s “Sol” drops and they were just ok. I felt like I needed a LOT more of the drops to get any color.

And as far as the mixing with oil-I *think* you could. I actually haven’t ever tried that one (kind of hard to believe honestly, I feel like I’m my own beauty experiment lol).
Maybe I’ll test it for you and see? The only thing that could be troublesome is the oil interfering with the tanner getting to the skin. But that’s just me thinking without any actual experience. I’ll report back! ❤️
