- In this video I show you how to check your mechanical timing on a 1987 Yamaha Yfm80 / Badger / Moto4. It may be similar for other 80cc Yamaha models.
Thank you very much for making this video it was very helpful
Thanks for the good video on how to check the timing I didn't know what I was doing but this video made it very clear thank you
You’re welcome. I’m glad it helped you.
What size bolt holds the sprocket to the Cam. I am putting one back together amd CANT find it
The thread pitch I am not sure of. The size of the head on the bolt maybe be 14mm or 17mm
A previous owner of my moto 4 welded the shifter to the shaft so I'm screwed
I had the same thing happen. I had to cut it off & split the cases to replace it😬
Still making a clicking noise in 1st gear!🤔😖 Shifts up thru the others fine but even on the downshift it hates 1st...
you take the bolt out of the timing chain than like it up
Rrrr4rr
Spose to line up with the "T" ?? T for TDC topdeadcenter ??
Yes you are.
Intake 0.05 - 0.1 mm
Exhaust 0.075 - 0,125 mm
Is it right? For yamaha townmate T80
So your title says checking the timing and you just said you don't know how to do it. 😂
I said I didn’t know how to adjust the timing, I was just showing you how to check the timing to verify it is correct. 😅
