drones causes horses to bolt, buck and rear - they are prey animals - the rider could easily be injured, maimed or dead. filming people riding is illegal by the way, not only unsafe.

the horse could have been bolting due to the drone, this is easy spook stuff for a prey animal.

Quick question for any horse riders, I'm a horse rider and I can canter and jump (only over low jumps), in the future I want to learn how to gallop. I know I'm a way off being able to now but still, any tips?

Gotta fly the drone lower - around eye level and close to the horse, side by side for best views. Nots birds eye view. Still enjoyed the unique video
nooooo the sharp cold air hurts the horses nostroles and theres snow everywhere (can be slippery). great footage but i feel bad for the horse
Nostrils and slipping are the least of the worries. It appears that this operation is for the racing industries. If not, I'd like to know.
it is not cold. If the temperature was cold the horse's breathing would produce steam. Even when the temperature warms, white snow takes time to melt if there is no sun or rain.

It is illegal to fly a drone over humans. The drones is a terrifying experience for horses, they are prey animals and drones, parasails, bees, etc are cause for them to bolt, rear or buck - its could be that these horses bolted back to the barn for safety (the rider was very capable and maybe out for a gallop - I can't see how anyone could assume this though. The younger rider looked around when the drone was near, like she was concerned, halted her horse). Most people in this situation would be injured or dead directly due to the drone spooking the horse. Don't do this.
