Excellent overview. I love all the mentions of the crew and how they interact and treat guests. You seem to be a solo cruiser. It's interesting to hear the differences between the food quality on this ship vs. Apex. I don't think it's the physical ship. I think it's more the management and delivery at a particular sailing that makes for quality of food. Eden was supposed to be an interactive space for performers but some passengers didn't feel comfortable with this. It was the Garden of Eden theme and the biting of apples and such. That didn't take off. Now it's more the spot to view the wake in the day and have food when the Eden cafe is open and at night there are shows, music, etc, what was once in the Sky Lounges on the previous classes of ships.
@@dorotheashields1245 thank you for your comment, I only been there couple of times for drinks during the day. It is a very nice spot but was a little harder to find available spot at.
First time watching you - fantastic detailed review! You have a new subscriber. You mention 11am boarding time, is that the time that was assigned to you? I would take a smaller room for a bigger balcony anytime - but that's just me. Nice shout-out to Captain Leo! We are cruising on Beyond - Sky Suite(first time) Sept.1 with Cpt. Kate.
Thank you for your kind words and welcome to the channel! 11am was assigned to me on the app while checking in. I’m sure you’ll have amazing time specially in a suite! Definitely something I hope to try one day!
I was on the first sailing (the one with the Bonaire/Aruba days being swapped). I 100% second what you said about Captain Leo. I am definitely going to be booking with the Celebrity Beyond and because of Captain Leo, I am going to make sure that that man is running the ship (no offense to Kate but that sailing won me over for life). What was your favorite bar on the ship? I loved world class but lots of folks were saying martini and craft social were good also! So glad I found your channel. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have been scouring youtube trying to see others who were on our sailings and hear their experiences.
My favorite probably was the Martini bar:) but I absolutely agree, the World Class was wonderful as well. Thank for subscribing! I hope you enjoy the content 🦔
Hello There, I am a new subscriber. Thank you for this review. I now feel more excited with my choice to do this back to back cruise on the Beyond. I cruise 9/07/2024 - 9/21/2024 8nt ABC islands and 6nt Bahamas, Mexico & Cayman. This will be my first Edge Class Ship. I have been holding off from booking Edge class ship because I do love the Solstice class ships and I am concerned that it will be hard to go back to Solstice Class Ships after being on the Edge Class Ships. I do most of my cruising Solo and was wondering if you cruise solo and if the Beyond Ship is Solo friendly? for the first time on online booking I am experiencing difficulties booking Speciality Restaurants for 1 person, they show availability but not for 1 person. Have you had any issues booking Speciality Restaurants for 1 person online? Thank you in advance for your reply. Rodney
Hi Rodney, thank you for your support! I have never experienced any difficulty to book restaurant for myself and yes I usually do my cruises Solo. I would perhaps recommend contacting celebrity/Captains club to assist but I usually just head to the restaurant of my choice on board and ask them to make the reservation for me. 90% of the time I never had any issue. I hope you enjoy your cruise! I am absolutely a fan of the Solstice class as well as the smaller ships and always enjoy going back and forth exploring them all :) ❤
I don't know. The Edge ships are different. No Sky Lounge, no library, no card room, no hideaway area, no Ensembles lounge, no Murano. There's no lawn club either if you liked that and no basketball court. That's a lot of no's. The Martini Bar is very different too, feeling like an extended Passport Bar but with Martini Bar bartenders and activities. Solstice are more intimate. Edge is geared toward group activities. I don't like the "class system" on the Edge ships. It's there a bit on the Solstice but much less so (can't go into Michael's club on the Solstice class). Originally, anyone could and it was best as a lively and fun piano bar. It felt like you were invited to an exclusive gentleman's club. Now, it's for suite folks. I never do suites. There's also, for me, this issue with the location of three of the specialty restaurants. They're located in the Grand Plaza and at the base of the Grand Plaza is the Martini Bar. This is quite an active area and can get noisy, even more noisy than the Grand Foyers on the Solstice class. Sometimes when dining in Raw on 5, Fine Cuts, or LeBistro, which are located above it, that noise is heard. Some like it, some don't. That's an issue with the library on Solstice class ships and the Hideaway, but not an issue for up-charge restaurants. I don't know. The Edge ships are different. They're like Celebrity mixed with NCL. No slides or anything like that but a lot of anytime dining and specialty restaurants and big emphasis on entertainment. The other Celebrity ships are like enhancements of the Horizon class. This one is a departure but utilizes some of the spaces from Solstice, mostly a somewhat modified, sometimes enhanced, versions of their restaurants but deletes too many areas I enjoyed on Solstice IMO.

You didn’t mention anything about the Magic Carpet. How was it? Did you experience it?

Was the ship very crowded since it was summer high season?
@@bottiano1118 actually not more crowded than normal. I was always able to find a quite spot. I’m sure you’ll love it!
Your container checked out because they are looking for alcohol to be smuggled on board.
Your perfume container oops like it could be a lighter.
@@donnacowell7415 mmm never thought about that, you might be right… it does look a little bit like a lighter.
