About the Martini Bar. On the Solstice class it was very popular and it was an ice bar with another ice bar, Crush, next to it. It was a chic, modern/retro style bar with small sections near windows that passengers can hang out in. You were directly interacting with the juggling bartenders. It felt more special because it didn't have that "in the atrium" feeling that the one on the Edge class ships have. It was a truly elegant yet fun space. It did get too crowded and I understand Celebrity wanted to make it bigger but they changed the character of it so much it doesn't really have a similar vibe at all. That's what I meant by it was ruined in my other comment. Now, if they had some sort of intimate, chic bar somewhere else, OK. But they don't. The World Class bar is not it nor is the Crafts Social area, a nice enough sports bar.
Great tour video. Background music was nice, no chattering or background conversation. I will be going on Beyond soon, and this has been super helpful. New subscruber obtained. Again, great job
Well done. Some fantastic footage here, 1st person view. This is what people will want to see. Will you go back on NCL after this? Quite an upgrade, no?
Thank you! We will definitely go back on NCL!! Our next cruise with them is the Aqua launching next year. One thing nice for us on NCL is all the perks with platinum status. I do look forward to many more Celebrity cruises though. We’re actually trying Holland in Nov and then Princess.
I have two cruises booked on Celebrity Beyond in the next six months or so. I've noticed on the app that the included restaurants are already booked up. I have Celebrity's version of Your Time dining and have only been able to make two reservations. Do you know if they open up more reservations on the day of embarkation? One of my cruises isn't until February and dining is already booked up! You did a great job on this video.
Thanks so much! We didn't make reservations for anytime dining.....just walked up when we got hungry. I know for specialty restaurants they always leave availability for booking onboard so my guess is included restaurants would be the same. Enjoy!
Since this is your first Celebrity cruise you don't have the perspective of why someone like me, a Celebrity fan, absolutely dislikes this class of ship. Maybe you can try a Solstice class because the Martini Bar is ruined, there is no observation lounge which was a key part of previous Celebrity classes, there are no elegant and intimate lounges, the placement of some of the restaurants in the Grand Plaza that gets noisy is a bad idea compared to where they are in the Solstice class, there's only one or 2 evocative spaces on the whole ship (you can be modern and evocative as well, which is what Celebrity did very well in previous classes). I don't like class ships and this, like MSC and NCL's Prima, are class ships. The putting the Retreat in the front of the ship is truly a dealbreaker as it robs most of the ship passengers of that prime real estate. The lack of a Sky Lounge, library and other small, cozy venues is a dealbreaker for me on this ship. Especially the Sky lounge (the Club is not a suitable replacement nor is Eden). This ship is far from "perfection" for what I want out of ship which is for the socializing and dancing in lounges elements along with food/service and some entertainment and quiet deck spaces. It lacks intimacy (in social mingle spaces, not restaurants). The Normandie restaurant actually reminds me of the dining rooms on the Zenith and Horizon, but those ships date back from the 1990s. I used to visit them almost every weekend when they berthed in NYC. I have a long history with Celebrity and I really dislike the direction the Edge class ships have gone in. They're a departure from what Celebrity established from Horizon to Solstice class so knowing people are defining Celebrity by the Edge class ships is unfortunate, IMO.

That makes sense. This was our only Celebrity cruise but I’m looking forward to trying some of the older Celebrity ships. Happy cruising! 😊

@@herschelleism Thanks so much! ☺️ I’m glad it was helpful. Have you cruised a celebrity before?
@@DestinedJourney no my first time will be in Spring. I am crossing over from Royal.
@@herschelleism What’s nice about that is your status is matched. I hope you love it as much as we did!
Glad to see you're back! Planning a cruise sometime next year and have every intent to sail when you are on board. Tell Bug we love her ❤
Excellent tour. Thank you.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching.

Maybe it’s a good thing they have such differences so there are ships for everyone? 🤷🏼♀️
@@DestinedJourney I wonder what happens when the older classes are transferred.
Stick getting your worth done. Are you nuts?
