Love the hardware swap, Ill have to look into that for my Gen 1. Regarding the match Saturday that was brutal. I spent 4 hours when I got home tearing everything apart and cleaning/drying all the gear. I had two fans setup on the floor and was rotating gear around. Actually worked well but not in a rush to do that again...Congrats on the Win and see you later this Month at the next match.
@@Womfatthey are black oxide. Currently only one company is offering black nitride service in the west coast. Im contacting them to see what the cost is, although probably going to be expensive. lol As of right now, if I find rust on them, I just take a Q-tip and dab some oil and they are good to go.
I was going to mention the same thing... I bought black hardware to mount weights on my rifle and they did indeed rust immediately after a rainy match. The stock assembly screws did not, so I'm assuming they are all nitride. I replaced all the mlok mounting screws I had with stainless. Cleaning the rust was no fun (although some gunzilla did a great job).
Thank you Matt for the shoutout! Glad you enjoyed the kit!
Are these for sale yet?
Carlos is the man.
I placed an order for the screws. They look great. Carlos shipped fast!
Great video Matt. Love the blackened fasteners they look great.👍
Should put you on the podium every match! 😂
Nice addition.
Extra ammo , screwdriver
holder screws? Shouldn’t be that hard to come by.
Looks great!
Looks great blacked out. One thing that I. have found Odd with MDT is the use of Imperial Screws.
I agree, my C-4 is all 3mm metric screws which I much prefer to work on
Looks great.

ahaha yup! All our gear was laid out on the living room floor to dry as well. Then hosed off all the mud and dried again outside
That does look a lot better. What's the weight of your rifle ?
it's around 23lb
Hopefully they're nitrided, they look it. MDT uses black oxide elsewhere and they rust instantly.
yeah, if they're oxide it'll rust as soon as it gets wet... we'll find out soon enough given the conditions I shoot in haha
