Many thanks for the video. Based on all that (positive) info we are likely to book a room there in January. (Of course, we checked ratings elsewhere and most of them were also excellent) On the site we wish to book there are : suite garden view and suite lake view. The second one is more expensive. We could afford it if it is really worth it. Also which one is quieter? Your opinion would be important for us. Thank you.
@Alex-ed8vj - The suite lakeview is a little louder because it's facing the evening entertainment area. If you ever want to price other options, please let me know (it would cost you nothing). I own my own agency and I can check anything you'd like, including prices quotes with air, transfers, and the resort - wil@wildesadventures.com
Thank you for the lovely and informative video. If you don't mind me asking a question. I saw that one needs to wake up at 7 am to occupy a pool lounge chair. I am wondering if one also needs to wake up this early to occupy a lounge-chair on the beach. Thank you.
Love this joia grand resort and am considering upgrading from iberostar selection to this resort in january. Only problem is its 5000 dollars more expensive at joia grand. Is it worth an extra 5000 dollars for our 15 nights?
@LivingtheLaptopLifestyle - Wow! 15 nights! $5,000 more? That all depends. The main reason we stayed at the JOIA was for its Adults-Only draw. If you're OK being around kids, I would stay at the Selection. Iberostar's staff are incredible regardless of where you stay.
@@WilDesAdventures Yes! We always do 15 nights at a different all inclusive every year in jan/feb. It could anywhere in the caribbean but always a different all inclusive resort because every all inclusive resort gives you a totally different experience. And yes 15 nights we found is the only way to truly relax and let go. 7 is a joke 10 is better and 12 is close but we found 15 is truly the magic spot. If we are going to go all that way we are going to enjoy it. So we are at the Iberostar Selection Coral Upgrade and the coral upgrade looks amazing. So for 15 nights its $6300 which is an amazing price. For those same 15 nights at the Joia Grand Adults Only its $11,500 which is over $5000 more. So im trying to decide whether its worth an extra 5k. We have done both adults only and also family resorts and it doesnt seem like the kids ever play a factor to us anyway though adults only is very nice. Any other insight to us making a decision would be great!
@@WilDesAdventures So im guessing you dont do 15 nights? Do you do 7 nights? I was just wondering about joia bc it looks very nice as well like coral upgrade.
Hello @lunabella606 - Yes, if you're staying at The Grand Bávaro, you can use any and all of the facilities and restaurants at all of the other Iberostars. They will identify you based on the wrist band they'll give you. Thanks for watching and the kind comment!
@@MissLovelyPop- They are each about a 10-minute walk from each one (e.g. Grand Bavaro to Selection=10 minutes: Selection to Coral Level= an additional 10 minutes, etc). However, the staff would be more than happy to take you in a golf cart at no charge (personally, I would give them a couple of dollars tip) Thanks for watching!
Can you order the whole menu like we were able too at the Barcelo Adults only in Mexico. To have non stop food and try everything at the restaurants. Or its one meal you can only order.
@sharonsweeney2301 - Iberostar has 5 different levels in Punta Cana. The Iberostar Selection Coral Level is "one grade below" this hotel (i e. 4th level of all of their resorts). You will still have families with children at the Coral, but it's a bit "classier" than the other ones
Would you say that it is an older vibe? It seems every video I watch with adults only, the people tend to be older. Not much in the way of nightlife. Everything shuts down around 10 or so. A snore-fest. I’m not looking for a huge party, but it’s nice to be able to sit at a bar past 9 PM lol..
@seadoo4life127 - Thanks for watching and your comment. Yes, the adults only tend to be an older crowd. However they do have nightly entertainment at the ship. They have dancing, themed events, etc., usually till about 11ish. Also, the lobby bar is open until about midnight and they have nightly live entertainment such as a singer or musician.
@pssita - Unfortunately, yes! UGH! Basically, all Iberostars pitch timeshares. We've been to MANY Iberostars and we've always, politely told them "no thank you". Yes, they can be very pushy, but, a simple, polite "no thank you" works fine. Now, for this particular Iberostar we decided to "take the tour" because they offered a 30-minute SPA (for my wife), and $100 in resort credit (I got a boatload of goodies from their local store!!). The pitch is long and boring, but it was worth the goodies we got in return. If I may, I'd like to offer some suggestions/advice: If you have the time, make sure you "milk them" for as many goodies as you can get from them! (Should I make a separate video on this subject?)
@juliahernandez5502 - Everyone is very friendly and respectful as it relates to the "claiming of chairs". Also, keep in mind that many people reserve chairs, but leave after a few hours. This provide an opportunity to claim those chairs.
Great review! Thank you!
Beautiful
@GameboyZeroOfficial - Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
Are the room floors the old fashioned tiles? I can't tell from the video. Thanks so much. Great review
@lizadelmundo6536 - the rooms had the large (36" x 36") marble tiled floors. Very classy! I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed this video and want to book for me and my husband in 2025.

Would you be so kind to answer the following question: Are all the rooms with a king bed, or can one get a room with two double beds?
Looks wonderful! Do you know if they had kayaks or snorkeling available?
@tammytruland7863 - they had some water sports available, but not sure about snorkeling. Thanks for watching!

Is this Joia or Iberostar grand … he said iberostar grand … but the title is Joia .. so I’m confused as I know they are separate hotels
@agyrrl - When I went in January it was known as the Iberostar Grand Bavaro Punta Cana. Just last month it has been rebranded as the JOIA Bavaro
