Nice inaugural showcasing of the Arrow Collection John, that's a whole lot of goodness there. As to the new version of Caligula, what's happening is that this film restorationist was able to convince the estate of Hustler Founder and Owner Bob Guccione to release all the unseen and unused footage he had locked away in a safe (he was holding it hostage really) and what he'll be going is going back to the editing room and take out all the explicit scenes Guccione himself shot behind everyone's back, and then splice the remaining footage together based upon Gore Vidal's original screenplay. So what will be released will be the version that's closet to Vidal's vision. Umbrella Entertainment and a company called Drafthouse are planning 4K and Blu Ray releases in Australia and the US soon. I'm actually quite curious to see this version myself to be honest, I've heard it's a much different film now. An Italian company put out a 4K release of Bava's Black Sunday recently, but I'm not sure it's English friendly subtitle wise at least. More of Bava in 4K would be fantastic, his use of colors is amazing, and would pop out more. He was the most painterly of filmmakers IMO. The German company Plaion Pictures has an exclusive 4K/Blu Ray combo of Bava's Planet of the Vampires aka Terror from Outer Space. The only negatives are that the 4K is Region B locked, I'm thinking maybe a rights issue, and no English subtitles. Take care my friend, hope you and the Debs are well, and speak to you soon.

But yeah! That might be well worth a look at 😊😊 Planet of the Vampires has sold out in the UK now 🤯 just come out 😱😱😱 I really don't like having a region locked 4k Nash, it seems like a step backwards mate 🤬 every release needs at least subs on! Just had the long good Friday 4k special edition collector's set with limited edition artwork. Last month had basket case 4k special edition collector's set with limited edition artwork on arrow 🔛. Madman 4k special edition collector's set and the last starfighter 4k collector's set on pre order arrow 🏹

I feel that 88 films have took over the mantle of arrow in recent times.
Still can't take away the quality of releases from arrow.

@Paul01191 yeah I agree Paul, as much as Arrow kind of started it all off in the UK, they seem to have lost their cult status now as they are branching out in other more mainstream directions 🤔 but 88 seem to stick to the script more as they started off with one vision and they are still predominantly doing that, but yeah Paul, 88 are the winners for me at this time 😁😁👍👍

Hi mate, i have the Exterminator as i window box edition from Cex, like what you said though its a bit damaged on the corners, i would love Arrow to release a small amount of films as window box editions again, maybe 10 films as i think they would be snapped up by collectors. Thanks for the video.

Check out Arrow's BD Ariana, its an amazing film. It is the most thought provoking science fiction film I have seen for some time. The ending is amazing and chilling at the same time.
