I would spend the majority of my time on the sun deck. Love the open feel, but also the hard top to provide cover. Very good design. The crew cabins are a bit strange. I mean, I’m all for sharing a bed but that captains cabin is odd with the pull down bed. Great walk through and excellent presentation!!!
Not bad. At 85 feet, the best options are Bering, Arksen, Darwin, Nordhavn, or Ocean Alexander. This ocean Alexander is more of a performance yacht. Less range more speed. Helm on the main deck to make the boat lighter. I prefer the separate bridge deck and sky lounge of an explorer yacht.
How far can she go on 2500 gallons at a 10-12 knot cruise? Just want to know if she's transatlantic or do you have to stop for gas in Bermuda?! Spec sheet doesn't give range, just the fuel capacity.
No yacht this size unless an expedition yacht like a CdM Darwin 86 is going to have anything close to trans-Atlantic range. A yacht like this would max out near 1,500 at economical speeds
I can't imagine this boat would ever have five crew members as it's designed. No one's sharing a bunk with the captain unless they're dating or married to the captain. And if the captain is dating/married, it's _highly_ unlikely they'd want a _third_ person in their room. That's such an awkward design. Other than that and the cedar closets, I like the boat.
How do the crew quarters accommodate up to five? I saw the bunk room which would fit two. The captains cabin really only accommodates the captain. If you squeeze somebody else into the captains cabin, thats still only four
Features two bunk rooms where?? Every video review of the ocean Alexander 85 shows two crew cabins. One is bunks; the other a designated captain cabin. As I said that accommodates three!!! Maybe four if they use the foldoutt Pullman bunk
Random thoughts from someone who doesn't have $5M: 1) Crew berths don't make sense. Why add a bunk to a captains cabin? And the TV placement doesn't make sense, no matter what bed you are on you wouldn't be able to watch it. They are also a bit small, captains cabin should have a small desk. And let's be real 5 people sharing 1 head isn't too practical. 2) Overall floor plan seems OK but would benefit from a separate entrance to owners suite. Interior needs more contrast - too much light wood/paneling/carpet. With the country kitchen this seems more of an owner operator boat. 3) Overall interior volume seems small for an 85, in both suite size and storage. 4) Presentation seems to gloss over a few things. Where did crew W/D fit? What size are the generators? The foredeck was not even mentioned, had to watch twice to see it was skipped. The top deck - billed as main helm - does it not have outdoor A/C? How is there not a cooling drawer and/or icemaker for that upper grille and bar? What is the radar, electronics, and communications package? Any onboard entertainment system? I'll keep watching your great content Denison 💛 this one just felt...off.

I never said anything about a teleprompter lol fox news..I said "bland script reading" what I meant by that was everything the angry looking, depressing grey clothed man said was planed out..and lethargic..It sounded like he was reading a script he really didn't want to read...and that's the problem I had with it, the guy (Alex) had no passion at all, it was like watching a casket review video by the mortician who then trys to sell you an upgrade to the new "stainless Steel" Model casket for an extra 5000 bucks...IT was like watching a mandatory training video on the first day of work at the meat packing place, watching all the ways you have to now cut up a cow because its your new profession..It was like watching one of those mandatory sexual harassment workplace training videos you re obligated to watch in corporate America, IT was like having to eat the world blandest hamburger with nothing to drink and no fries or condiments included..Ir was like chewing for two hours the survival ration they put on lifeboats.. IN my opinion Alex needs to find a new love in his life so he can have a little something to look forward too after work.. someone who will pick out his outfits and kiss him on the forehead before work and tell him that he is loved..Dude... it was one of the worst videos because of "Alex". Don't get me wrong, The cinematography was outstanding, just the host for me was the problem.
