Got to say, even though you said it was cobbled together, I quite like the types of videos that show it exactly as it is, warts and all. Lovely images again Stuart and nice to see you out again.
Congrats on £5k subs! We know you don’t earn anything doing these vids but we thoroughly enjoy them as and when they appear…keeps the Lake District in mind for the next holiday. Love the Ulswater photos and prefer the colour version of the mountain layers image! Keep them coming Stuart!
Nice to see the 100-400 used for landscape work. You had some terrific light and captured the mood. Thanks for taking us through your thought processes. I always seem to forget everything when in the field.
Stunning conditions Stuart and some beautiful typical Lake District images one hopes for at this time of year with such mood and drama - Great video as always :)
I realise your not as consistent as some UA-camrs but I’m surprised you’ve only got 5k subs. You’re one of my favourite channels to watch, I love the videos you produce (no matter how cobbled together they are! 😅) and I love your images! Keep up the good work!
Cheers James - UA-cam demands certain things in order to grow that I’ll probably never be willing to do, but it is what it is. Also I’ve not been on the platform all that long in comparison those that started years ago. Thanks for watching 👍
Good to see you back Stuart and congrats on the 5K subs (should be at least 50k, with the quality content you bring) The minimalist island image at 1:25 looks great!!! Looking forward to your autumn and winter videos coming up!!
Great to see plenty of photography content, not like the others who do nothing but van builds, cooking and camping with virtually no photographic content. Well done. Wast water reminded me of the time I was there some 20 yeras ago, started to rain so locked the camera gera in the boot, did the full walk all around Wast water only to return to find car broken into, radio trashed and then looked in the boot and all Hasselblad 21/4 and Xpan gear stolen along with the wifes hanbag. Some one found her handbag in Lamplugh and we got that back but sadley no photographic gear found. Lesson learnt, always take the gear even if there might be no photographs. Keep up the great content. Thanks
I hope the summer season brought you plenty of customers Stuart. The long shot worked well in both colour and B+W, but the colour edged it for with the subtle tones. Bring on the Autumn vlogs.
The quality of your videos Stuart, and the real-world experience they portray are delightful. Always informative and entertaining, if you continue to produce videos, I for one, will continue to watch them irrespective of the frequency.
Great to see you back Stuart. All the images are wonderful but it’s the b & w version I prefer. thanks for your time and effort in putting out these videos…..much appreciated.
Love the black and white version Stuart. I'm following you on Vero and only now I was able to take a look at your YT channel, I'm really impressed by your content, it is really good and soon I'll be sharing some landscape photography channels around the world in my YT channel + blog and yours is on the list. thanks for sharing this content. Will let you know when I do. Congratulations
Great video, Stuart. I'm glad to hear that you have hit 5000 subscribers. It is well deserved. I truly enjoy your photographs, and even more enjoy the opportunity to go on virtual trips with you shooting in the Lake District.
Great 'cobbled' video Stuart which shows just how changeable the Lakes weather can be, even verging on being a little damp!😂😂 Great images and whilst I like both the colour and mono shots I think that the colour one edges it for me. Love the shot from the edge of Tewet Tarn with Saddleback in the background. Congrats on passing 5k but for the life of me I don't know why it's not more. For me, you put out some excellent vlogs. Keep it up. Cheers.
Cheers 👍 well I’ve not been on here that long and the platform requires near constant uploads to make any headway. No matter it’s of not great concern to me to be honest, but certainly appreciate those that get to see them 👍
Hi Stuart congratulations on your 5k subscribers, i know how much hard work it takes making these videos, ive done it myself trying to juggle time whilst working so onwards to 10k buddy. Kind regards Stuart
Really enjoyed the video, Stuart and all the images. I did enjoy the variety and especially how they reflected the reality of shooting in such variable conditions and locations. Great stuff. Thanks again👍😊👍
I think Blencathra is one of the Lakes finest hills and it has provided me with some remarkable walking days. It is now so good to see your pictures to remind me of those walks and that view from Tewet tarn is superb. I also really liked the picture at 6:09, catching burns in spate is magical and this is a great image. Thanks.
Welcome back! Just to let you know you are a role model and an idol in photography for me! I love your work man.I Hope to put out great work like yourself someday. But that day is far away for as I have so much to learn.
Great to see you back sir. I'm up in the Lakes w/c 17th and had Tewet on my list of places to visit, so this video is very timely. If I get the chance and the gallery is open I'll pop in and say hello. Stay well sir.
Just discovered your channel, like the style and approach you take and some of the images were lovely, particularly the colour version of the moody shot. Very jealous of the area you live in with the lakes and mountains on your doorstep...I live in Norfolk so it tends to be a lot of seascapes for me. Look forward to catching up with your other videos.
Had to giggle, last time I was at Tewet Tarn, I got rained on too. Love the light on that one, and I prefer the black and white version of the moody rain shot. Thanks for sharing Stuart.
Its great to see the Lakes through your eyes and the shots you create. Great content and style. PS the shot of the beck at Wastwater is my pick of the pics!
Congratulations on over 5k subscribers Stuart! Well done.Always love to see your videos and the beautiful images you produce…Soaking wet or otherwise! Cheers from Canada 💙
Very nice Stuart, and this is the reason why when we walked past the gallery earlier in the year, the wife looked at me and said "yes he's very good, better than you and I prefer his images", there's nothing like martial support & that's nothing like it.....🤣
Told you that you would love the 100-400 ;) beautiful shots as always but the light was extra special on the 400 mm shot ! Huge congratulations on the 5k ! That’s an amazing achievement and very well deserved!
Some cracking light in your images Stuart. You know I love black and white but in this instance I the colour was my favourite of the two images, lovely layering. Well done on the 5k, great to see your channel blooming as well
Enjoyed your video. I have never visited Tewett Tarn as I thought it was not very appealing but after I have seen your interpretation I will give it a try on my next visit to the Lake District.
Lovely to be out and about with you again Stuart. Never managed Tewet Tarn at the right time so I found your trip excellent. Would personally prefer the b&w version of the 400mm shot as i think that adds to the mood. Glad the shops been busy but it reduces the chances of nipping down for the ice cream!
I don't think I will ever tire of seeing the Lake District through your eyes. It's such a privilege to witness the magical conditions the area is blessed with at this time of year, Stu. Even better when you can be in the right place at the right time too! Again, you've captured some wonderful images, both at Wasdale Head and Tewet Tarn. The latter being particularly special for me, as it brings back some great memories, though it's somewhere I would like to go to again, as there's one shot I would like to try again, as I don;t feel I got my composition right. Looking forward to the next installment!
Lovely. In respect of the moody hill image with the aerial perspective , you ask mono or colour. I say yes, definitely. Mono or Colour, either are fantastic. Love your work
Great to see another video from you Stuart, lovely shots too. Really like the last shot which although I love b&w images I think looks better in colour too.
Hi Stuart, much prefer decent content and stunning images than posting for the sake of it. Love visiting the Lakes and your gallery’s corner of Keswick (Nordic Outdoor, Norwegian Store and George Fisher). You must have been out with the camera as you were closed the last time we were up. Will pop in and say hi next time we are up.
Great stuff Stuart. I've been off my feet for the last month with a month to go and have been revisiting your back catalogue to cheer me up! Delighted when the notification for a new one popped up and looking forward to the next ones. Beautiful images, the colour version of the layers shot is stunning. Cheers
Get me in the hat Stu! I love the squall shot. Had a recky drive to Devoke and Grasmere today which was just blue sky and finished the day at Latrigg, all reminders from the workshop I did! I hope you had the inversions that I saw driving through Skipton and Kirkby Lonsdale! Keep up the great work mate 🍺
Great to see you back on line. You indeed had some great images in this post. Regarding the choice BTW the B&W or color version of that lovely layers shot, I prefer the color version.
Great vlog Stuart - despite the rough weather. But of course that always makes for interesting conditions and usually dramatic light. Love the 2 images you'll be giving away! Cheers.
Great images Stuart, might see if I can get to Tewarts tarn this holiday. No wonder my prints never look very good that’s one hell uva set up you have !
I always look forward to your vlogs, Stuart. From my office on the East Coast of the US, I enjoy your lovely scenery, even when things don't go quite as you planned--but that's what makes your vlogs so interesting: one never knows! Like most of the other fans who commented, I prefer the color image to the B&W version; the B&W image seems to lack that mysterious, brooding mood. Keep vlogging and keep shooting! You have an eye many photographers lack.
Enjoyed this video Stuart especially as I’m staying at Wasdale Head in early November and never been there before so nice to see what’s in store for me , will drop in to the gallery at some point and hopefully say hello
great your back loved the colour version Stuart. we were up in Keswick couple of weeks ago just on holiday and , have you found that Autumn is late this year, i’ve been scouting around The New forest and it’s no where near, looking forward to Autumn shots Cheers Rob
Cheers Rob, tough to tell to be honest as it gets later and later each year with climate change, it’s probably a little behind I’d say though here in the lakes we had a lot of rain from mid august when it was dry elsewhere so that might be causing it
Thanks for another lovely vlog Stuart - I saw that rain and immediately thought “surely he’s not about to go out in that!!” 😂. I really like the honesty in your vlogs, and the fact that you show there are times when things just don’t work because of less than favourable conditions. Still managed to shoot some great images though. Looking forward to your next episode.
Good to see you out and about again Stuart. I know what that Lakeland Liquid Sunshine can be like. LoL. Excellent Photos.
Thanks Peter
Got to say, even though you said it was cobbled together, I quite like the types of videos that show it exactly as it is, warts and all. Lovely images again Stuart and nice to see you out again.
Thanks Stuart
Congrats on £5k subs! We know you don’t earn anything doing these vids but we thoroughly enjoy them as and when they appear…keeps the Lake District in mind for the next holiday. Love the Ulswater photos and prefer the colour version of the mountain layers image! Keep them coming Stuart!
Thanks very much Ian
Love love love the color version of the mountains with the squall coming!
Thanks Heather 👍
Nice to see the 100-400 used for landscape work. You had some terrific light and captured the mood. Thanks for taking us through your thought processes. I always seem to forget everything when in the field.

Nice to see you back on UA-cam again Stuart, another great vlog 👌 Looking forward to your next one, they really inspire me to get out with my camera 📸
Kind of you to say thanks very much for watching
I realise your not as consistent as some UA-camrs but I’m surprised you’ve only got 5k subs. You’re one of my favourite channels to watch, I love the videos you produce (no matter how cobbled together they are! 😅) and I love your images!

Super shots Stuart, the valleys at Wast Water around 6 minutes are the best from your vlog for me. KR Phil
Thanks Phil 👍
Good to see you back Stuart and congrats on the 5K subs (should be at least 50k, with the quality content you bring) The minimalist island image at 1:25 looks great!!!
Looking forward to your autumn and winter videos coming up!!
Thanks Sander appreciate that - sadly UA-cam is largely a numbers and quantity game like most of social media lol cheers for watching
@@StuartMcGlennon So true!! Will be in the Lake District at the end of February, hope to visit your gallery then!!
Great to see plenty of photography content, not like the others who do nothing but van builds, cooking and camping with virtually no photographic content. Well done.

Thanks Jonathan ah that’s unfortunate with the gear - a tough walk though along the screes side, horrid path along the boulders!
I hope the summer season brought you plenty of customers Stuart. The long shot worked well in both colour and B+W, but the colour edged it for with the subtle tones. Bring on the Autumn vlogs.
Thanks Iain yes very busy summer as it usually is - looking forward to some quiet time with the camera over the next couple of months
@@StuartMcGlennon Enjoy that quiet time..
The quality of your videos Stuart, and the real-world experience they portray are delightful. Always informative and entertaining, if you continue to produce videos, I for one, will continue to watch them irrespective of the frequency.
That’s very kind Gordon thanks - lots coming up and some Lofoten content in the new year 👍
The 400mm Wast Water beck is shot of the vid for me. The long lens is great at picking out the light in the changeable conditions. Great stuff 😃
Thanks Simon much appreciated
Excellent as always Stuart ! Fantastic light and conditions, great images.
Cheers Mark 👍
Nice to see you back. I prefer the colour image to the b&w one, but my overall favourite of the vlog was the long shot from Wast Water.
Thanks Brian much appreciated
Great to see you back - always nice to see one of your videos pop up :)

Thanks Martin yeah I’m ready for something less wet next time it’s poured down for what feels like weeks now!
Layers always seem to work well in black and white for me. Nothing wrong with the colour version, just comes down to personal preference.
Absolutely 👍
