Terminal for sure, very different songs, very different vibes, but very original and experimental in their own way. Terminal just resonates with me a lot more because the song felt like something beyond than a song where you are drowned in the emotion, the story and the music. It's one of my favourite song from them and probably of 2021 too because everything in this song blew my mind
Personally I was a little skeptical of this new album with Panopticon and Trilogy being the first two singles. Both amazing tracks, but they didn't really show off the creative aspect of this band that I fell in love with. I was a bit worried that it was just going to be a somewhat generic metalcore album and they wouldn't be as experimental as they have been in the past. And boy this song proved me wrong. Should have never doubted that these boys wouldn't be experimental and creative (and trying new things as you put it!) It was definitely what I needed and it instantly washed away any doubts I have about this album. Even made me love Panoptocon even more. To be honest I have no idea what to expect when it comes to the new album after this and I am so fucking excited. It almost gives me Loathe vibes and if anyone could pull off a ILLIATE level album, it would be Silent Planet.
Man I could almost cry from happiness... Invent Animate, Silent Planet and Imminence are 3 bands in my top 5 fav bands and they all have releases this fall. Invent just dropped EP and Silent Planet, and Imminence are dropping albums in Nov. Oh and I was VERY lucky to get 3 Brand New songs from silent Planet that either didnt make the new album or have their Titles changed. They are really good songs so I dont know why they wouldnt be on the new album. I can see one of the titles being changed because its called Visible Empire which is close to another song title of theirs. So we will see when album drops. If it's not there then I got so lucky to have 3 songs from Silent Planet only a lucky few have and have heard ( they have songs called "Visible unseen" and "Lower Empire" so like I said I can see them changing the name of "Visible Empire "
TBH I don't care what genre direction Silent Planet goes in, because I know that they will be doing what they do best no matter what. Their artistic prowess is INSANE and I will be happy to experience whatever form that takes.
I keep saying this with so many bands, but once again, AOTY INCOMING. This song is fucking perfect as a balance to Trilogy and Panopticon. I won’t pick between the two just because how different they are, but they pulled this sound off so well. And getting Mitch on vocals too? Holy shit brothers ❤️❤️
man, this song took me for a ride and the video enhanced it. it reminded me of when i heard Panic Room for the first time; it was unexpected, wonderful, and powerful. it's awesome seeing Mitch incorporating some cleans; his voice is very haunting in this, and I can't wait to see Garrett play guitar when i see them live. amazing song; they're 2 for 2 for singles.
If you're looking for songs with lyrics pulled from literature, look into their first few albums. Come Wind, Come Weather comes to mind. The Night God Slept was an absolute masterpiece, though. The original Depths was actually their closest song to "generic" metalcore that I've heard so far. Not to say it's bad, it's amazing, but it's by far their most "generic." That's in their first album.
I seen Silent Planet live one time and before performing a track Garrett said the song was made for his brother or maybe it was a friend who suffered from Schizophrenia. My uncle suffers from Schizophrenia, its a terrible disease and can steal your life from you. This song hits so fckn hard. 🇨🇦🤘🏼🔥🥲
Honestly I think they’re the best band in Metalcore. They’re the most musically mature band in the genre, with incredible song writing and lyricism. There’s just no band that can compare to me.
agree to disagree. they got three vocalists on this track. Russell, Mitch and Thomas which is an amazing contrast from previous tracks and shows growth.
Not every song has to have gutterals. I think it actually show off more of his range in terms of clean singing that we haven’t really heard from him. 🤷🏻♂️
This could not be further from the truth. This is, by far, the entire band as a whole showing more vocal versatility than ever before. Sounds like you just want high and low screams.
It’s not about “fully utilizing his vocal capabilities” on every song. It’s about writing parts that serve the song as a whole. Garrett doing a ton of screams and gutterals would’ve ruined the song
Terminal or Panopticon?
Terminal
Terminal
Panopticon is my shit

Terminal 100%
Did every single band member do some cleans? What a spectacular and atmospheric track.

trilogy was great, but yea panopticon felt like a song just passing through in an album, but this song blew it out of the water
Terminal compared to Trilogy reminds me of the direction that Loathe has.
Which is funny cause both bands are the elites of the genre
Silent Planet and Spiritbox albums of the year!!
They need to tour together
Please!!!!!!!!!
That would be so amazing
@@spencercorkum2250 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@spencercorkum2250 did you get the Spiritbox album ? If not , Spencer get it!! Insane!!!

First Father used to be my favorite song by them but I think this one might take that place now.
Between these guys and Loathe they will carry the torch Deftones leaves for them. we are in good hands
in my opinion, loathe with babylon in the previous album was banger and also very emotional same as terminal 🤯
Gives me very strong vibes with what TDWP did with Chemical. Both songs very different from the bands usually but very good, very very good.
I’m not blown away by this but I do like this song
LETS GOOOO glad you reviewed this one
This has heavy Deftones/Dead Poetic vibes to it. Man I love it. Give me a whole album of this....
Dead poetic were so good. Static Dress remind me of them

Just saw SP a few nights ago and I've been on an intense Silent Planet kick since then.
Never really got that much into this band but cant deny that this song got me.
I'm not a fan of Loathe but this kinda reminds me them and I like it
"getting an underoath, deftone vibe to it."
Yup i felt the exact same!
Is that a Lalisa background of the back of her jacket on your laptop bro? Sick! Lol
React to David Maxim Micic - Smile
Certified prog 🤌🏿
Like love from the amity affliction you won’t regret it
Deftones 2.0. I can definitely can vibe out to this track.
bro checkout loathe, same vibes with deftones
Reminds me of old Thursday + Deftones

You mean 3 if you include Trilogy.
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Yeah Trilogy is on the album, so I would include it

agreed, i love this band too
We ready for the spiritbox reactions. Song 3 with Sam from architects off the album is so good
Album very overrated
@@lanecarner7622 nah
No more reactions for the love of christ it's become like jinjer reactions. No one ever critiques and they always are over done
Man I really didn’t enjoy any of the songs aside from the singles. I wanted to like it so bad because the singles were sooooo good!

I personally like this song more than Panopticon
Panopticon
hardcore metalbirb fans unite ✊
Bro check Vildhjarta’s newest song Penny Royal Poison, i didnt think they could get any heavier but they did
Yo @metalbirb check out Khabal The Voice of Jericho for some amazing blackened deathcore. Love to hear your thoughts

First coment!!
Meh. Too much slow progression and not enough climax, if any. U mentioned underoath and the difference is underoath went somewhere in songs
Ok song. But not comparable to the prior singles, imo. Does not fully utilize his vocal capabilities.
