I've been Rebuilding my late Brothers Mustang since 2016... Spent the better part of 2 summers doing rear quarters and minimal floor work.. sanded the car down to almost bare metal.. had literally 7-8 different colors as I went down.. 1/2 in of filler in places it didn't need it.. is what it is.. so I decided to paint it myself.. 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear.... But I was way over my head to go alone the first time.. turned out decent but I have to wet sand the clear and buff the shit outta it... Peel like crazy 🤦🤦 long story short I respect the Shit outta guys like you that throw it down and share your knowledge!.. Thanks! 👍👍✌️

Showing those times when u get waterfall runs instead of "hey, another 100 percent perfect job with zero flaws" can be more helpful and encouraging to a new painter. When you are brand new, u might worry and be nervous about not having the paint come out great. This shows stuff can happen even to those with years of experience. Not the end of the world. Fix it. Move on to the next. Learn from it.

Marco, Orientation coat on single stages, not a dust coat, dust coats add texture. Satin the first coat. By the time youve made it around the vehicle, Youre ready to begin your first medium Wet coat.
Walk your single stage, Pace yourself.. Painting is a dance. Dad was right.. Get a steady rhythm, Paint is Fluid, your movements need to Flow with the paint.. I notice you have many points where you are a bit jerky... Your tempo is all over the place..
Be Patient, especially in colder temps. If you wait 10 more minutes in cold temps... It helps. If you question your string test.. wait longer.
You want positive pressure in your space, Where ever your fan is, begin closest to it, and move your paint toward the exit point.
Tape your sleeves to your gloves.
And for the sake of your sanity.. You need more air.. As Pops wasnt clear on, Step up to a dedicated 1/2" air hose and High flow fittings.. This will REALY HELP you getting the volume consistent, and maximum atomization. Your current Hose size drops the air volume, its restricting your air flow to the gun.. This will allow you to push more fluid..
Keep the trigger pulled on the first step the entire time, Only lift off the fluid, Not the airflow.. Everytime you let off completely, the pressure release blasts material out when you pull the trigger again.. This can also blow dust around from 10' away..
Maybe these things will help reduce your runs and sags.. I didnt listen to my pops until he was gone.. He was right.. And I am sharing 36 years of knowledge from a hotrod painter and my own learning along the way..
I still would like you to try at least pulling taillights.. Less taping.. Im very conservative with material... I use 3m, But I stretch it.. Pulling mirrors, handles, headlights, pressurewashing with dawn, and a really good blowdown is worth the time, when youre not cutting and buffing Sir... $ hours of teardown beats the hell out of 6-8 hours of scratching new paint and swinging a polisher.

Wish you’d stop addressing the keyboard “pros.” Your results and success speak for them selves. Just ignore them. Keep showing those of us trying to learn your tips and tricks. We’ll keep coming back for more.

It’s ok to address keyboard warriors cause if your new to painting or some other trade people with no experience other than reading will lead you down the wrong path costing you money and time because there is so many keyboard warriors.i work with some and there in positions they shouldn’t be in and it’s very annoying to deal with

@@gregoryjowers3629 I ain't new to painting but I do adress the keyboard dorks simply saying "where's your work where's your shop"
The conversation goes immediately dead after that because they usually have neither.

@@gregoryjowers3629 Addressing them in the comments is one thing. In the video is another. I have addressed them from time to time on my small channel, but find it usually to be a waste of time and energy. Most commenters on my vids are respectful in sharing their knowledge and asking questions. I prefer not to spend 90% of my limited time on the 10% of morons. And the average viewer of this channel fits into the 90% who get what's going on.

I should have seen this video before I bought all these lvlp guns. I bought them for my 33 gallon Coleman compressor....to do my 03 Tahoe

Lvlp is a scam created by the EPA basically. EPA pressured gun manufacturers to make guns that put out "less over spray" When you can literally do this with any spray gun.
