I just had sopes for the first time yesterday. They were so good I and wanted to learn how to make them authentically and found your channel. Your grandmother is so precious. Seeing you in the kitchen with her reminds me of cooking with my grandfather who was a chef. Back then video cameras were too expensive to record his lessons but I have the memories. noticed you use cojita I have become a serious Mexican cheese addict as of late...panela cojita and I get a 4# block of local queso fresco for $12 dollars ..love it..
I usually make my own queso fresco, but I just had my 4th baby, so I'm too tired. Haha! I like to use queso fresco on tacos, sopes, and enfrijoladas. I like to save the cojita for making corn. I'm not Hispanic, but my husband is from Mexico. I've taught myself how to make Mexican dishes for him.

I fixed the chilaquillas today with the red sauce and they were sooooo good!!! I also added some chicken. I poached two boneless chicken breasts in some water with fresh garlic and a little salt. When cool I sliced them bite sized. I sauted some onion and bell pepper together added the chicken with a little cumin. Then I fried the tortillas, added the sauce. Put some on my plate, added the cooked chicken, a little more sauce, cheese, a sprinkle of green onions and cilantro and sour cream!!! Thanks for your great recipe.

I just happened across your channel when looking for a tortilla recipe, then ended up watching many of the videos. My Step-mother's family is from Mexico and I wanted to make some authentic food for her and I think I have found the best teachers. I remember cooking with my Grandpa, he taught me so many German recipes which I hold dear to my hear. God bless you and your Grandmother, she is such a sweet woman.
Your grandma is wonderful! I never had a chance to really know mine (she passed when I was 8) but I used to love watching her cook. This reminds me of her and the way her hands just knew what to do with food. Thank you for sharing her with us.

I miss my beautiful grandmother... you are blessed to still have her .. she's beautiful & her food looks delicious! About 11 years ago i was babysitting my nephews and i decided to make them some sopes .. my sis had a package of them already made in her fridge .. i made ground beef & beans and served the boys ... they took one bite & spit it out ... I didn't know i was supposed to fry them ... 😂😂😂😂 i wasn't a very good cook back then but i learned. 😂😂😂😂😂

I just happened across your channel when looking for a tortilla recipe, then ended up watching many of the videos. My Step-mother's family is from Mexico and I wanted to make some authentic food for her and I think I have found the best teachers. I remember cooking with my Grandpa, he taught me so many German recipes which I hold dear to my hear. God bless you and your Grandmother, she is such a sweet woman.

Your grandma is wonderful! I never had a chance to really know mine (she passed when I was 8) but I used to love watching her cook. This reminds me of her and the way her hands just knew what to do with food. Thank you for sharing her with us.
