The reason I don't trip about Tyler dressing up as a old lady is because its JUST a character in the movies/shows not an alternate personality (or whatever its called). He's not a taking this character into his everyday life it's ONLY for movies. The only reason he's done it this long is because the audience relates to Madea in a lot of ways

Tyler Perry continues to support our community and our Black actors/actresses of the industry in a spectacular way. But look at the ridicule that they endure from "The Black Church." You all "in the church" need to think about how you treat your brothers and sisters.

This title is true. Tyler Perry himself said that Madea wasnt supposed to be a star. He created the character as a supporting role but people immediately was drawn to her. The rest is history.

I've heard that a few times now and would like to know the person/star or well known person who didn't show up. Just curious
I wonder why they said that I Can Do Bad All By Myself was the first play that they were in by Tyler Perry, that wasn't their first Tyler Perry play. Tamela Mann's first Tyler Perry Madea play was Diary of a Mad Black Woman and David Mann's first Tyler Perry Madea play was Madea's Family Reunion. I Can Do Bad All By Myself I believe was the third installment. Hell in Diary of a Mad Black Woman Cora (Tamela Mann) wasn't even Madea's daughter, she was the wife's mother. See Im a real Tyler Perry fan. Oh well, love them still. ❤❤

Madea was meant to be a supporting character. In the original production of I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Madea didn’t do much talking and sat on the couch in one spot. She looked MUCH different and served as an occasional voice of senile reason. There was another actress and character in the original production but she was scrapped before taping, and she didn’t show up for taping. As a result, Madea took up more space and time and became a more key character and evolved into the star of a franchise that we know and love today.

Except for " thank God the lead character didn't show up" in Tyler Perry's play which birth the character Madea who is Tyler Perry himself dressed as a woman which is an abomination onto the Lord and He hates it! Oh... but let us not touch on that and rebuke such things otherwise you get accused of being self- righteous oh yeah and " don't judge" when the word clearly tells us to judge righteously.
