I always heard that any overtime in the elevator constructors union is double time. Glad that you touched on that.
I was an apprentice and journeyman in 2 trades, carpenter, and electrical , IBEW, retired electrician, and I worked a lot with the head of local 3 elevator workers. I made good money, and good retirement, but I hated the business, just saying.
Why did you hate the business?
Really enjoyed the video, but at my age it is for the grandkids, lol!
Glad you enjoyed it! Are you a plumber or elevator mechanic?
What are the down side of the elevator constructors? No pun intended. They drive a lot/ dont see their family?
That would've been a great question to ask! Wish I would've gotten to that one 😥
What is the up side of elevator tech going up😅
Roger, I am trying to discern which union to join. My Dad is a plumber and electrician and I’ve done both following him around and enjoy both. Do I apply for both and see who can offer the better pension? He always tells me a switch is a valve and a valve is a switch, which ever you choose it’s pretty similar. Any advice?
Good job 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
How did you guys get into the trades? I'm 27, and I would love to learn these skills. But I work and have to pay bills now.
Trade schools, your local mom-and-pop plumbing, HVAC, and electrical company ( call them) they will lay for you school.
You can’t trade school your way to being a tradesman (except welding) you have to do an apprenticeship
And you work and learn. You should do it
@@cesaroliva5842 I would have to quit my full-time job. And it's my career.
Need to check your state requirements. Journeyman and master usually won't transfer between states so find an apprenticeship in a place you like.
cool
Roger is a toilet doctor.
😂😂
