A very busy morning with some great shooting and shot placement, the video quality is very good and the positioning of cameras capturing the events,it was a beautiful morning with regards the weather peaceful and serene and you managed a full magazine brill.
Yeah it can be quite difficult to match all the different memory cards together, but it does make for an interesting video. Glad you appreciate the effort that I go through to make these videos.
Hello LVC, I’m glad to see that it’s not just me that likes to be in position and set up, long before Tufty gets up, but recently, they’ve caught me on the hop, with some almost nocturnal visits! Well done matey, great film👍👍 David
Strange if they’re becoming nocturnal. That would be really strange, would love a midnight squirrel hunt. I like to be in position before they do because I don’t want to walk in and disturb them. I don’t like to rush.
Great shooting and honesty as always pard. You must be going through a lot of nuts with that amount of squirrels about, keep up the good work and stay safe pard 👍
Yeah the price is steep, but I am quite lucky because I get a few hundred £££ off with one of my local RFDs who I regularly shop at. Plus it came fitted with the GRS stock as a limited edition.
Im the same mate, I leave them alone during the summer to respawn haha I have three feeder locations, i will start again in October once the natural food starts to fade away. Ive a feeling that may be early this year because its been a strange year for growing and im hearing theirs not many acorns around either
Enjoyed this vid pal. Good days pest control Especially liked the roe deer filmed from a cam not the scope cam with cross hairs aligned on kill zone 👌🤘
Good shoot.if there's so many squirrels in the woods try putting two feeders a short distance apart.i shoot two feeders and it can be very effective, I've found that if a squirrel has been spooked it won't come to that feeder but it will go to the sender one.
Well bras64 if you don't like what you see stop watching go and find something that you like.you need to think on we all had to hunt for our dinners at one time. The lad is doing a good job. And if you don't like what I've said then that's tough
I have a new rat video coming very soon which was made a couple weeks ago, but it is only a short one. However I shot 60+ rats last night at a different farm so that will be a longer video when I edit that one and I'm shooting squirrels next week.
What are you using in the feeder? I’ve started trying peanuts. Both shelled and unshelled. But they sure like the Black Oil Sunflower seeds in my bird feeders as well as dried corn. Loose or on the cob.
Do you take note of wind direction when you set up? I wonder if the squirrels are reacting to the scent of human at close range. Also your blind and personal camouflage are less stealthy than many other squirrel hunters I've watched.
When you are hunting squirrels from a hide, even if it isn't the most covered, if you are still they will come in to the feeder. Their eyesight isn't the best so you can still move a fair amount (slowly of course) and off camera to my left and right they sometimes run next to the hide. If they can smell a human scent it certainly doesn't spook them. The lesson here is for squirrel shooting - if you don't move, they can't see you, no matter how close they are (within reason)
@@lancsvermincontrol I saw the video. He did not explain anything. There must be a more logical scientific explanation behind this strange behavior when an animal's brain takes a major damage.
No worries. Surprising how many people comment how “loud” it is but in person it’s pretty quiet. 008 would be a good buy. Does everything you need it to.
Hi, here is a brief description as to why we need to control them. Grey squirrels eat song-bird chicks and eggs. Research demonstrates that grey squirrels have an adverse impact on many native woodland birds, reducing fledging rates. - Grey squirrels can damage maize and fruit crops. They are a threat to orchards and market gardens. They destroy bulbs and corms, eat tree nuts, recently sown seeds and enter into roof voids, damaging thatched and shingled roofs, telephone wires and electricity cables. - Grey squirrels have driven the native red squirrel to localized extinctions by out-competing the red squirrel for food and habitat and by carrying a lethal squirrel pox virus to which it is immune but which is deadly to the native red squirrel.

Tempting to go very early with IR if as you say it is a prolific feeder? Very good.
They always come to feed at specific times, like us humans. We wake up and go straight to breakfast. If it's pitch black they won't be there.

How long you put the feeder box and did you wait for a month's? Please tell me
Hi, I fill with peanuts and usually wait around 10-14 days. Squirrels find it quick and I will probably shoot 1 week after that.
Nice :-)
Keep camera shot up close. The closer the better. Great shot placement.
What sort of range is ya feeder from ya rifle?
Usually set my feeders around 20 yards away. Squirrels don’t seem to have good eyesight or awareness as long as you don’t move too quick.

Great hunt. When a squirrel or a rat takes a head shot it starts to bounce all over violently. Why is that? is there a scientific explanation to it???
This should help 👍

There must be a more logical scientific explanation behind this strange behavior when an animal's brain takes a major damage.
It’s the destroyed nervous system firing erratically. Like an electrical storm in the brain. Basically a seizure.
Don’t think I’d be eating butties with the gloves on that I’d just used to pick up a load of dead squirrels

Judging by the activity level before and after 7am you could have had an extra hour in bed.
Well, that’s hunting for ya! Never know when the action will start so always good to be early and prepared.
