These proposals are so powerful because they symbolize something that has been forbidden for so many centuries (still is in other countries) and it always makes me so emotional watching this

Our country has evolved so much in just the past 10 years! ~ And then there are also many shows with women living together like married couples (yet not officially married) ~ I realized this too, even more powerfully, after watching the Chilean telenovela "Perdona Nuestros Pecados" with the timeless Love story of Barbara and Mercedes (Barcedes), set in the 1950's, and how terribly they and their Great Love was tormented by the men around them, yet the writers still gave them a very honorable happy ending!
