- KLM flew Netherlands’ Olympic medal-winners home in its unique orange-coloured Boeing 777 painted specially for the occasion. When the aircraft reached Dutch airspace, it was accompanied by two F-16 fighter jets from the Royal Dutch Air Force.

I love the livery. I think KLM should paint all their planes like that.

Nothing is really special about it, it’s just the same old livery with orange at the front and a little bit of purple in the middle and the rest is blue.
One of the many reasons why klm is one of the best airlines today!! Keep up the outstanding work

For anyone wondering what is going on. They escorted the plane to show the winners (and all other participants) of the Olympic Games how proud they were. We are proud of our country and our people. The plane is orange because out national colour is orange because of royal reasons. This was not a first or last flight escort. They did this in support. 🍊

My experience with KLM was very good. Its more or less like the face of the Dutch nation. The crew were very friendly and took an extra step in the area of hospitality. I should say that Dutch people are one of the best in the world.

Yes gaditly, it has been a while traveling across the pond, either utilizing the Dutch airline/or German. Always had a very nice experience, with both carriers. They do indeed go the extra mile on hospitality, to make sure that there passengers are pleased, meeting all there needs. If you look back in history Klm began if I not mistaken began in the early 20' s. They are as a air carrier have been around for many years.
