- Ohuhu Alcohol Markers versus Prismacolor Alcohol Markers. So in this video I will be doing a comparison/marker review. The subject of this video is Ohuhu Markers Vs Prismacolor Markers. As always, I love coloring with Ohuhu and I now have a newfound love of coloring with Prismacolor Markers as well! As you will see in the video both Prismacolor and Ohuhu are awesome thanks to the amazing quality of both markers. And of course, they feel like marker challenges because I never want to give the wrong idea that one was better than the other one. The Prismacolor Markers are brush markers while the Ohuhu Markers are bullet nib markers. On the other side, Prismacolor has a bullet tip and Ohuhu has a chisel tip. I hope you enjoy the comparison! =)

I don’t know if anyone else said it. But the reason that the prisma color markers that don’t come with the zip case cost more ($116) is because they are supposed to come with like a hard marker box case instead. So they charge you extra just because the case is hard instead of the zip up case ($80).
Well....now I feel like an idiot. LOL Thanks for sharing! Definitely important to know.
Halalela Art no problem!
That makes sense ig
I bought a set and it was only £32.00 so I guess American money is worth A LOT less than British money.
Makes sense
"... Bluish green..."
*pulls out purply-blue color*
TrashyIntrovert I KNOW I KEPT SAYING THE SAME
lolll
I love the ohuhu skin and eyes but I like the prismacolour hair and clothes
Sweet! Thanks for watching!! =)
Halalela Art I like how you put a smile =)
Daxter Lehto 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕥𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕕𝕤 𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕠𝕗 𝕞𝕪 𝕞𝕠𝕦𝕥𝕙, 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕚𝕤 𝕖𝕩𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕝𝕪 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕚 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘
Thats a 2/2
Same!
I like ohuhu on the vibrancy side, but I wish they had a brush tip. On the other side prismacolor blends really well, but you have to lay down multiple layers to get the right shading.
Presley Choate REALLY! 😃
Same!!
Idk, I got mine a while ago and they had brush tips. At least a couple months ago
dimmy 66 cool
Presley Choate oh cool I better save up lol
They both look really good! I love the 'VS' that you do!
Aww thank you!!! And thank you so much for watching!!! =)
Ross Draws is great! Nice profile pic! 😊
i feel like ohuhu would be great starter markers, but the prisma ones definitely have a much smoother layout and has better tone variety.
sunbrofist nah, crayola is a starter I feel like a real artist after I got ohuhu markers for Christmas, I even learned how to blend, I got the 100 set.
Chicken entertainer 11 actually crayola is more for school, I don’t recommend them for starters who actually are good at art. They aren’t alcohol based so you can’t blend. Ohuhu is for starters. I still use ohuhu but I have other markers (I have more colors in them) but I think they are better for starters
iiNxrwhal If you use crayola colored pencils, you can blend, my older sister draws better than me and doesn’t have ohuhu, she uses crayola, but I know what you mean. 🤗
Jennifer Aro oof, disappointment.. 😂🤘🏻
Chicken entertainer 11 oof I meant the markers but I have crayola and prismacolors and they crayola are harder to blend but still look great
I personally love the Ohuhu markers, and how they made the character pop.
Thanks for watching! =)
She is gorgeous!! Love that blending
Thank you!! And thanks for watching!!
Aw, she's adorable! I love drawing pretty girls with strange colored skins and horns. Just so fun to get to color and sketch.
Thank you! And I agree. Its fun drawing and coloring things outside of the norm. Thanks for watching!!
Well the colors both look great. It definitely depends on the person coloring. I believe the refilling plays apart when your a big time artist non stop. Over all you motivated me to do some coloring today.
I love the vibrancy of the ohuhu markers to me the prismacolor ones look faded or too pastel for my taste but I also know those colors may come in handy sometimes too...anyways your artwork is amazing and thanks for the vs
both are great but I think the Prismacolor are better
Thanks for watching! =)
Mangoti Tanaka Arts I never had non or buy any because I am not sure we’re to start even with my own art work
@@baby_family_82 yes Prismacolor because they are lighter and more transparent, which is good for animation characters
The ohuhu are also really good, I recently learned how to blend with them and it really helps!
Prisma def looks better, their pencils do me wonnnderrrrs, I’d 100% recommend ohuhu for beginners though. Very good beginning markers.
I came to a conclusion after this video. Buy both. That way I can mix them up in art pieces.
Personally feel like Ohuhu had far more depth and overall quality
Sweeet! Thanks for watching!
Prismacolors last a long time. Markers are not my primary medium , but I have some that are 18yrs old and are still going strong.
Oooh, that's good to know! Thank you for watching! =)
Me too but they dry up fast when in use for some reason. I hear thats a common problem with the brand.
This is helpful, because I wanted to see if I should get Ohuhu.
And the quality of both prismacolor and Ohuhu are great in my opinion
(Edit) Or from what I see from the Ohuhu
I'm so glad it helped you!! Thank you for watching!! =)
Ohuhu is a decent, cheap brand but they are not open stock markers. If you run out of an Ohuhu color then that’s it, unless if you want to spend 20 bucks on another set in hopes of getting that color
I can’t choose which one looks better
Same tho! Lol I honestly enjoy how both came out. Thanks for watching! =)
I think Ohuhu is brighter witch I like more
Ikr
I really love the prismacolor side. The tones are so soft and relaxing.
The match up I never expected.
Love the video btw 😄
Lol! Thanks for watching! =)
wow this drawing is amazing, love those horns!!
Thank you!! And thanks for watching!!
She turned out great! Personally i am that person who would say F-IT and use them all together 🤣
I like the colors and contrast on the Ohuhu side more personally
The one thing I did like about the ohuhu side was her eye and the color of the skin, I love the bright dark red
You put those prismas to work, the brush tip feels soo good.
your monster girl honestly looks like one of those fair ride painting
Body wise, I was really digging the Ohuhu red but the hair it was the Prismacolor that made it pop a little bit more. Those greens though were fairly dead on similar with each other. Price wise is unfortunately what I have to deal with, as I have to save up ALOT to be able to afford a full set.
I try really hard to make sure my colors match up, so I'm glad you feel the greens were similar. Thank you so much for watching!!! =)
I know this was a vs challenged, but I really love how the character came out with slightly a slightly mismatched colour scheme.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I think the prismacolor won cause of the smoother texture is more calming to me.
When you did the hair for the ohuhu the blending is fantastic
I love this comparison, I personally use ohuhu markers!! And I think they work amazing when you really know what your doing, when you said that the ohuhu side is more vibrant and darker can be bad, I felt like that could be easily fixed with picking a slightly lighter red! Over love this video!!!!
Thank you! And yes, I probably should have done a slightly lighter red. Thanks for watching!!! =)
Halalela Art love your videos!!
Definitely subscribing!!!
I think I liked the prismacolor markers more but Ohuhu is amazing too!
Me too 😄
Thanks for letting me know! And thank you for watching!! =)
So beautiful!!💕👏👏😊
Hey!! Thanks!! And thank you for watching! =)
Ooohh, I love your channel so much!! Your art is so impressive!
Aww thank you!! And thanks a bunch for watching!! =)
in my opinion, I think the Prisma Colour side looks nicer, but Ohuhu is definitely more worth the price.
you realized another red in the set besides Carmine red there was crimson red aswell
Ive watched severalyoutubets do the VS with ohuhu with other kinds.... And honestly i love how bright ohuhu have been on the ohuhu.... Prisma looks awesome here.... Imo copic is over rated especially when they are compared to other brands like prisma and even ohuhu....
Im new to alcohol markers and actually got a set of 80 ohuhu.... Wishing i went with 120 lol.... Lovingem so far....
I cat wait to see ohuhu brush tips with alcohol base......
Anyone else wish she'd do Spectrum Noir (or however they're spelt, I'm too lazy to check). Or has she already done them and I just haven't seen it?
These are the kind if drawings I love doing so you got a new subscriber. Great art by the way.
Sweet! Glad you liked it! Thanks for subbing and for watching!!!
How much are the Prisma Color markers on Amazon? or perhaps, in Michael's? (if they have them)
CreepyPastelitos not sure about Amazon, but at block they are about 4-3 dollars apiece
Primsacoulor for sure! It makes the character look realistic! I use them and they're a dream come true!
I have the Prismas, but now I think I need the Ohuhus also. Great vid.
Never hurts to have moreeee! LOL With all these comparisons I'm doing, it's interesting to see how I can use different sorts of brands together in one piece. Thanks for watching! =)
Ohuhu looks really good for more of a wet saturated effect, where Prisma is good for less saturated blending.
Both good I'm a prisma girl myself and the blending is soo good they also sell a Clear blending color if you wand seamless blends.
Ah, I'm gonna have to get my hands on a colorless blender then. I never know if the colorless blenders in an alcohol marker pack are for blending, or for correcting since the use of that marker tends to vary in different brands. Thanks for watching though! =)
I wish I could color along with her! I love her art!
Aww thank you!! I'll see if I can put together a coloring book soon so that others can color my lineart. Thank you so much for watching!!
Prisma overall was my favorite, but I liked the eyes and insides of the wings of the ohuhu side better.
Love watching you videos
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching!! =)
That character is soo cute! She pops out :))!
I like the Prisma coloring better. I own Ohuhu markers🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Donna Killewald Same
HOW THE HELL DID YOU DRAW LINES THAT STRAIGHT???!!!!
Prismas were my first alcohol markers and honestly, nothing has compared to them since.
I love this drawing!💞
Thank you! And thanks for watching!!! =)
I love the vibrancy of ohuhu markers. I have a set and theyre awesome! If you want your art to pop and look like digital aet its perfect. Im gonna get some prismas tho for some more soft blended drawing vibes since theyre on sale! hehe
Yay I just ordered the 120 set of ohuhu markers 🤩
Sweeet!! I'm so glad they're finally out! Thanks for watching!!!
gacha maci! They have a 100 set too
Ohuhu has more depth.
Or so I think.
Kazam That might have to do with color availability and choice.
Ooooo I have the prismaColors! My only problem is that they bleed through paper really bad. The pigment is amazing though.
Truee! Although I feel that's a problem you'll have with most alcohol markers unfortunately. For this comparison, both Ohuhu and Prismacolor bled through equally.
Halalela Art oh ok! I am going to buy the Ohuhu markers at some point. I invested my money into artist loft dual tip markers. PS. Love your channel ❤️
Awesome, and thank you so much! =)
Such a hard choice. Saturation v blendibility and brush tip. Saturation is very important to me as I like solid, rich color and use darker colors to shade and prefer a less blended, polygonal style of shading.
This is making me wanna color again so bad! 😭 (i need new art supplies tho. My markers r dry, my colored pencils a random collection built up over like 8 years most of them used up, and my computer is down at the moment) Ugh artist struggles. 😫 Also really love your art style. 😍
Aww hope you catch a break. Being an artist is definitely a struggle! Thank you for watching! =)
I’ve actually never seen many people use prisma. Are they better than promarkers (price factored in)?
my only thing i wish you did was shade the bathing suite ( or whatever it is lol ) seems way to flat compared to the rest of the drawing. saying that, i think it turned out lovely and the style is amazing. Good Job!!
Yea, I'm guilty of not having thought of that. I was way too focused on her skin, hair and eyes, that her bathing suit became an afterthought lol. But thank you so much for watching! =)
I do like both of the sides, I love Prisma and Ohuhu both and I do use Copic, I do like the just take it to choose to decide what you want . rather then making your words absolute like I see other artists doing, it can deter artists from things but that could have benefitted them. It's about what the personal artist want. I think people put to much power in the word of others instead of trusting themselves and what they choose.
I liked this video and I hope to see more.
I also want to say no she doesnt look like hellboy. The only comparison is the red skin and being a "demon" but that's it. Dont take away the originality of your characters by comparing them to others because then people cant un see them as unique of a design they are.
Keep up the good work! I use the prisma without the brush nib and I love them, I'm about to save to get the new Ohuhu set. There still pretty new tho so I hope the feedback of allowing single colours makes them take heed.
Your work is very beauitful and lovely by the way.
Hey, thank you so much for this amazing and thoughtful comment! I absolutely agree with you that too many tend to take other's opinions as fact. And you're right on the Hellboy comment too. Haha, I honestly just saw all this red in her skin and then her horns and I'm like "am I drawing a female Hellboy?" Lol!
And I so hope that Ohuhu does start releasing single colors for purchase. Thanks for watching!!! =)
@@lela.the.artist Your welcome and they do for real.
Yeah I feel what you mean hehehe
Both of them were great! But I do think that the prisms color side did a better job because it was a lot smoother to me than the Huhu markers.
Ohuho was the most vibrant and beautiful too me ❤️
I think the ohuhu colours are more vibrant and the prismacolors blend better. I personally would prefer to have prismacolors because of that amazing blend but to each their own :3
also the linearly you made us SO absolutely amazing! i love horns, and the hands you drew are amazing as well💕
This is amazing I love it so much 💛💜💛💜💛💛💜💛💛
Thank you!!! And thanks for watching!!! =)
I've bought the ohuhu markers and I love how saturated they are for their price! $50 for 100 markers
Definitely a good deal! Thanks for watching!!! =)
They've got a 120 ct that has some colours that aren't in any of their other counts I've got my eye set on for my birthday
Personally I think Ohuhu is more vibrant, bold and just makes it come alive unlike the Prisma.. I feel like it looks dull and faded
If you can afford it I would actually suggest combining what markers you use so you can get benefits from both markers
Answering the hell boy question. Theres no official hell girl.
Hey thanks for letting me know! And thanks for watching! =)
I love this, it shows how there is pros to using both markers. I always use a bunch of different marker brands when I make marker illustrations. The drawing came out super cute! I love your style!
Yes! I agree =) thank you so much for the kinds words and for watching!
She looks like a tiefling and I love it
New sub c: love your art style!
(3:44- 7:08) that's the skin routine for drawings
All of you're drawings are amazing and I love watching you I'm new to markers and I have a ton but they scare me cause they are such a new medium. I wanna work with them so your videos help so much in seeing how they work. I did have a question do you make coloring pages of your work so that we can color your art too and sent them to you? I would love to not only use them for practicing to see if I am getting the hang of these but also I wanna color one to show just how much you've help me get better! Not to mention this page just looks super fun you should definitely sign your blanks and let us color your works too and send them to you. 🥰 I would really just love a chance to color this beautiful piece as well. 💕 Also how do you spell the UA-cam name of the person you said you got inspiration from? O was trying to find her but couldn't.
I'm so glad you enjoy my videos and find them helpful! As far as coloring pages, yes! I do plan to put together all my linearts and make them downloadable for my subscribers to print when they want and color themselves! I'll announce when I'll have it all up in a future video. Thanks for your interest, and thankyou for watching!!! =)
I like how bright the eye with the Ohuhu markers turned out it was brighter and move vibrant. But i like the prisma side a lot better because i think it blended better
Yes! I agree about the eye on the Ohuhu side. But I do feel that blending wise Prisma did very well! Thanks for watching!! =)
lol
HEEEEYY! Thanks for watching girlie! =)
Prisma is just more matte with lighter colors and ohuhu is more matte with vibrant colors
I'm liking the OHUHU markers better 😍😍😍
Okay so I have the prismacolor I have been craving! to buy ohuhu due to the fact that prismacolor didn't give me no skin tones and when I try to blend it turns out so horrible so let's hope when I buy ohuhu I hope it is a lil better than prismacolor
Nice, I hope you enjoy your Ohuhu's and that they work well with your prisma's!
@@lela.the.artist I sure hope they do!😁
your channel is so fun to watch 😫 i wanna get a better camera this year cause i’m using my phone. how do you set yours up?
They both look great! The prisma has a softer look that I'm personally more of a fan of
i have prismacolors but for some reason, yours look way better than mine uwu
I have to be honest even if I am a big ohuhu fan I gotta say I like prismacolor a little bit better
Awesome! I love your art! I wish more art supplies were refillable, I hate to say it, as an artist, but art supplies have just sooo much waste! Makes me sad. It's like the only way to be a green artist is to make everything by hand😭
I have to admit that I'm totally not a green artist, but I do try to be more conscious of my waste, and I get bothered when I throw away perfectly good markers lol But making everything by hand woo, that would be something. Makes me wonder if I'd actually be able to accomplish that. Hehe thanks for watching! =)
Halalela Art haha, for sure!! I really wish!!! Super cute!! Keep up your cuteness!!!
i like how the ohuhu is like more of a 3d kind of marker look and prisma is like a more lighter 3d look, but shows more of the 2d side of it.
With Prismacolors, you could try the Drip-Refill technique!
You get a refill bottle, and slowly drip the pigment drop by drop into one side of the Marker,
and when the other side is Juicy and a little Messy, you know it's been refilled!
I have a question: What Kind of paper do you use with alcoholmarkers? 😬
Have a nice day😊
I use X-press It Blending Card paper in size 8.5in by 11in. I buy them on amazon.
The drawing was great! I like how you draw different body types and people that aren't just humans. I also like how you drew the hair, it was AMAZING!
Thank youuuu!!! And thanks for watching!!
@@lela.the.artist np, you deserve it!
Beautiful work! Two questions, if I may... How do the Ohuhu brush tips hold up? And how would one find more of your work? Instagram? Deviantart?
personally I think Ohuhu out shines Prismacolor
I like the Ohuhu side a bit better but the drawing overall is very cute! I'm still a Copic stan but it's nice to look at what's out there.
Cookie Vampiress r u on tik tok?
Cookie Vampiress Sweet! I can't wait to do a Copic versus Prismacolor. I'm wondering if I should name it, battle of the blends! LOL Thank you so much for watching!
A Nobody Yep 😊
Awesome!!!!😃😎🤩this is good art work
this looks so gooood!! what kind of paper are you using here?
Thank you so much! And I use the "X-press it" Blending cards in 8.5in by 11in. You can find them on amazon. Thanks for watching!!
we have aoOHUHUHUHU
and a pRINGLES
and a hALALELALAELELLACF
im sorry if this is offensive i didntmeanto-
Me: Never having used a marker in my life
Also me: Binge watches the comparison series and thinks I'm an expert.
I bet you've used crayola markers
This one might be more of a long shot. But Copic vs Prisma vs Ohuhu? (It would be interesting to see how they all compare together)
Ive been thinking about that, but I wonder if that would be too much to process? Lol I'll definitely see if I can work something like that into a future video. Thank you so much for watching!! =)
@@lela.the.artist Yeah I get what you mean, could be a bit hard to even find a composition to use all 3? Unless you draw a character seeing double of them self.
I wish for christmas to have the same markers your so talented
There kinda is a female Hellboy. In the comics, Hellboy has a sister, Gamori, but she has like a blue-gray skin tone, not red.
That's awesome to know. Thanks for sharing!
Prismacolor works/looks more vibrant/better on watercolor paper :3
I like the prisma color better because I have the ohuhu markers and the prisma and you have to have a really good technique and try not to over lap the colors so it doesn’t come up streaky
What paper and ink did u use?
I use "X-press It' Blending Card in 8.5in by 11in. You can find it on amazon. As far as ink, my lineart I do digitally on Paint Tool SAI and then I print it out on the X-press It paper. Thanks for watching!
That’s orange
