  • i got this set like 90% of my gear at long and mcquade here in canada there are many place you can buy them any where hpw ever that being said .. I still say these are the best bang for the buck they work awesome and if your wanting great quaility and still keeping the bank account to the Plus side. these are your best bet for TRUE Wireless.. i have used and owned many wireless guitar systems and these are still the best so far in my opinion ..

    • @KevinMillard68
      @KevinMillard68  4 роки тому

      try charging it up again both parts then plug them in let them both just go till they die and recharge try this 3 times then charge once more after the 3rd time and see if they are back to normal if not you have bad batterys so they are warrantied so they will be repaired or replaced with a new set as long as you are still under warranty

    Have the WL20 for two+ years. Only issue is the transmitter battery dies faster than when new. I’ll be doing a complete discharge to erase the memory because of your tip. Thank you.

    hey kevys! I live in Canada too! I was wondering if your boss guitar amplifier plugs into a power adapter to charge the guitar wireless system or can you plug these into a pc (computer) to get a full charge there? (some say the charge takes to long from a pc from there experience is this true?) ...!

    • @KevinMillard68
      @KevinMillard68  2 роки тому

      your best to change them from a power brick 2.0 amp charger will do just fine i never use my pc to chage with because there is not enough amps to use computer usb ports for chaging it would take to long and its hard on your usb bus to do that

    And also, how are they holding up after 5 years of use? No issues with batterry life/charging?
    Thanks

      hi there they are great but i have lately been having problems with maintaining conntions dude to every tom dick harry and janet getting bell fiber in the country area i live in for so long we all wanted great internet now its here but it interfears with my boss wireless so i sold them and went to UHF and now no more problems you have to expect eventually someting will interfear but even with all 14 channels it does not help , as for part 2 tho you shold rebind when switching sometime you get away with out doing it .. line 6 as the same problem wiht one of there systems .. i would get a top pro level wireless system but iam not making tons of money playing music and all of these cheaper systems do work very well. but with more and more 2.4 and 5g systems going up all over its likey better now to go with UHF even the cheaper ones work well but get a decent one if you want durability

      Thanks for the info! The main reason i was looking to get the wl-20l was to be able to switch guitars ( a mix of passive and active pups) in a live setting without the hassle of a belt pack.... and now the crowded bandwidth thing is another level of problems.... anyway, good to know this before buying! Thanks again!

  • @DeadmanDance

    A silly question. As a violin player, I use a little preamp before my pedals to match impedance issues. Using a wireless system would require the pre after it? Or before?
    Thanks!

    • @KevinMillard68
      @KevinMillard68  4 роки тому

      you hook it up the same as the rest of use transmitter to the output jack of the instrument and reciever goes to the input of where ever you going to hook up in the chain , i dont get your impedance issues your talking about whats going on there with that ?

      @DeadmanDance 4 роки тому

      @@KevinMillard68 well, my violin uses piezo pickups, so when hooking to amplifiers or pedals, sometimes I get impedance mismatch.

      @@DeadmanDance you might want to look into the active boss wireless system iam not sure who these will react to piezo i know i u se them in my acoutic electric guitars and they work fine and i have passive pups in all my regular electric guitars are your piezos powered active or just a cheap plug and go style ..

    Hi, I'm considering to purchase a set of WL-20, I'm mainly concerned with the long term use, but I couldn't find enough info on these. You posted this around end of 2019 after a year of owning these, so I was wondering if you could help me decide as these are quite pricy here in Australia. Are these units still working well for you? How many hours are you getting now compared to when they were new? Also, I'm seeing several forum posts that the signal gets boosted when using these as opposed to a normal cable, is this the case for you as well?

      i haev had this set sece sept 2018 and no problems as of yet with them or the batteries in them as for any problems with hi wirelss traffic areas these have 14 channels so each time you go to use them you mind them and they search for the strongest cleanest channel so if it takes you 1 or 2 times kinda deal to lock to a clean channel there is no reason that you should have any problems like any other wireless product you try and see what happens but you souuld be fine but even i can not nore can anyone say 100% sure on this, you can always return them for a refund of they dont work out for you but check with who ever you get them from on their return policy

    I just bought a wl20 boss. It worked great for about 3 weeks then started dropping out crazy even five feet away. I've done everything I know to do and it still did not work correctly. I took it back to the store and got a replacement one. Straight away from the box it was dropping out like crazy. So far I don't have a good opinion of these things. Maybe they had a bad batch?

      everytime you use these tey have to be conected togeter you have to sync them so they can find a clear channel even if you just unplug the tc or the rc you have to rebind to make a clean channel other wise use you will have drop outs . its not the best system for having to rebind all the time in fact its a pain but it saves on adding more buttons and other crap that can just break so its worth it in the end to have to rebind them everytime , my self and out worship leader use them all the time and never have any problems.. i did have the new yamaha thr30II amp that has built in the ine 6 crap RX now that amp does not come with the rx for the guitar but you can buy it seperate anyhow so i tried to use my boss system with the amp and nope she drops like crazy so i thought ok lets leave the amp on and try plugging ot another amp nope drops out still and there is no way to turn off the line 6 rx on the amp you can lock the channel in hopes that will work and no did not work, seems line 6 used all the excat same freqs with in a number or 2 just to cause hell,, and that made me take the amp back to get something different for an amp .. so try to rebind each time and see of that helps.
