Great video. I've used this system for a couple years and I learned some valuable tips from your video, so thank you! The only problem I had was using two systems at the same time in my small-ish studio. I found situations where my guitar came through the bass amp, and the bass came through the guitar amp. I think you solved that problem by teaching me the appropriate way to pair the connectors. Thank you!!
Great review, I also own the WL-20 and I'm very satisfied with it! Little correction: you named 5 and 7 hours, but these are the charging times not the playing time according to Boss. Playing time is a giant 12h! 🤘🏻
Sennheisers wireless comes with an extension cable so the transmiter isnt hanging out of your guitar. I found one on reverb that somebody didnt want and use it with my Boss WL-20L.
I have a Q. I do have bass with passive puckups but active preamp, i think there are more instruments like that, what should I get, WL 10 or WL10L? thnx a lot
It's been 6 months since you made this video, any changes in your opinion , any issue with it coming loose from the guitar while playing, and If I click the link below does it help you? I'd would be happy to do so as I'm leaning towards getting the WL-20. Thanks in advance. BTW , I just play at home , not a professional lol
The Boss WL-20 is so much better than the XVive system. I switched from the XVive because they seemed to have a functional life of about 6 months of regular use before failing completely. I don't know if it's the production quality or what....maybe the hinged design wears out the wires or something. I've gone through 4 XVives and none of them work anymore. I even got a brand new replacement and it didn't work out of the box. Sure, you can probably get a discounted replacement from XVive ( or maybe free, as Joyo does), but why not spend a bit more money and have a system you know will perform when you need it? That's where I've landed. Joyo also had a short functional life...they're obviously cheaply manufactured.
I had an Xvive that lasted one week before it died. The store replaced it fro free and the replacement lasted 2 days. Xvive support were useless. The store was great and today they replaced the Xvive replacement with a BOSS WL20 (I just had to pay the difference). I'm looking forward to using it. It's got to be better than the Xvive.
But internal batteries always die out just the same within 2 years. I'd rather have a discreet looking folding one and just be easy with it. The best thing a company can do with this design is make the hinge nice and tight (which some don't) so it stays flush against the guitar's side (which some don't, and it looks retarded), this way the unit doesn't even have to bend on a regular basis.

I just ordered one. I hope it will fit on a strat!
Nice one Mate

@priyonjoni..does the hum noise on the amp reduce, same, or more with this BOSS WL 20 compares to cable?
Can you use in for a PRS guitar?
👍👍👍
Will it work as well for bass guitar?

Unfortunately, the product was on loan. I never actually kept it.
I've been using the WL50 for two years and no issues at all with the dongle.
I am wondering: can you use this system
With Guitar + Wireless headphones with wire option, like Sony WH1000 ?
No, you need an amp in between.

Question, do you get some noise when plugged it to a multieffects pedal?
I have not noticed it, but I do use a noise gate.
yeah, zzsounds won't ship to canada - hard fail!
I just bought a WL20 but didnt know about the WL20L version.
So does that mean the one i have wont work with guitars with active pick ups?
At max volume, active pickups can clip the WL-20. You can lower the volume from the guitar, but that kind of defeats the purpose of an active pickup.
The reason they don't fold is because it puts strain on the cable. Folding models will eventually break.

Will these work with active pickups like EMG's? thanks
Yes cou can. But there's a "WL-20L" version specially designed for active PUs as well :-)
@@MatthiasBuesing did you tried it?
@@deadboz6007 I’m a passive PU guy 🤷🏻♂️🤘🏻
Dude! Youre pronouncing impedance like impotence. Good video though
Pronouncing it isn’t that hard.
