What does it actually mean that the filter is stereo? I should probably hear it, but I'm away from home and don't have headphones with me. I understand that a stereo filter has a configuration just like a stereo amplifier in a stereo system, that is, it's two identical amplifiers, each dedicated to a different channel - in the case of the filter, it's two identical filters (or four, if it's low-pass and high-pass). But there's probably something more, something that produces the stereo effect. What is it? This is mentioned @4:28, but before that the stereo effect was implemented differently. How?

Would it be possible to control the pan function from 0v to 5v instead? I'm building a super small case and no room left for attenuverters :/
