I have zero interest in Kane. I don't want to pay him a bunch to be a super 1 dimensional player, and I don't want to give him an incentive laden deal either. I'd rather take some cheaper low risk gambles. A guy like Viktor Arvidsson could probably be had on the cheap. A guy like Rosolvic could probably be had for cheap. The bruins have done a really good job finding those diamond in the rough contracts and getting a lot out of guys for cheap.

We did well with the guys we picked up last offseason for like 1mil$ they were all cheap and they helped out, down the line it wasn’t enough but you can focus on extending a couple guys and then grab some depth guys cheap again. You gotta get Swayman and a few others extended and then shop around for cheap players. Kane wouldn’t be cheap and he’s become a 1year deal player, hopping from team to team because everyone is hoping he reignites his scoring touch but it’s too risky to go all in on him. And the draft is a no go, there’s no reason to jump into the draft for a 10th overall, it won’t help soon enough, there’s plenty of guys in the system now that work.
Whats about to exchange Swayman to NJ for the 10th pick overall PLUS their 1st round choice they selected last year ? and go with Ullmark and some game time given to Bussi , for the next year ? i dont see Ullmark worth a 10th overall pick. Causes: Age, 1 year left contract, Can sign everywhere he wants year after and be gone...
The projected #10 is a 6 foot 200 pound 19 year old American center man thst plays a two way game. Can he play in the NHL? Possibly but not the 1st line. Maybe in a year or two. We need a top line center.

Ullmark is the best available Goalie for trade. Ultimately a team is going to offer a great package and hopefully Ullmark accepts the trade.
