Hey everyone! Check the description. I am aware it’s a female red eared slider. I know fish, but I am learning reptiles 😂. Thanks everyone for the love and support.
My Mother Was born in 1949. She bought a quarter sized turtle from a dime store in Chicago at age 5. My Mother turned 72 this past December. She STILL has her turtle! It's a male River Cooter named Freddy. It's incredible story and people are always blown away how long she's had him
My red-eared slider of 30 years just passed away last month. It was a big loss for me but I'm glad of the time I got to spend with him from childhood right up to adulthood.
I got my slider when I was 8 years old. Today I am 75 close to 76. My turtle is 67 going on 68 with no end in sight. In the summer in Pennsylvania he is in a 2 foot tall 300 gallon tank outside with a waterfall and a closed off basking area he can climb to. He spends a lot of time basking and swimming under the waterfall. In the winter we move him to a 2 foot high 100 gallon tank with a heater at 82 degrees and a basking area with an utraviolet heat lamp at 92 degrees. Henry is very active, very fast and if you approach his summer basking area without calling his name he'll dive off the basking area splashing into the water. The thing I have concern about is where will he live next with the proper care. I currently have 2 options!
Wow! Same. Mine's Lasted 18 years. I went through puberty, graduated HS and College, got my first job, first apartment, he was there for all that. I'm not going to lie, near the end I got really tired of taking care of him and his bites. But never once did I think to release him or neglect him. He was my responsibility, I'm the one who chose him. So yeah I told to my coworkers to check the lifespan of any pet they choose for their kids.
Beautiful red ear he looks nice and healthy. My red ear is a male and turns 31 this September 😆. He’s still so active and love’s to bask on him rock while letting his legs and tail hang in the water. I have seen some male’s with female traits but honestly yours really does have all the female traits. The wide neck plus his jaw is more defined, shorter tail that starts thick then gets skinny towards the end and the short claws. Not to mention from this angle he look’s like a tank 😂. Either way sweet turtle.
I'm 24 now and I have 2 female ear slider and they are 16 years old. Kinda amazing that these 2 little dudes witness me grow from a kid to an adult. They are quite clever in a sense that they will beg me and my mom pretending that we haven't feed them yet. Luckily we use pill organisers so we knew how much we actually fed them. God they are good actors
Great story. I have had my Red Ear slider 18 years now. It was given to my daughter as a gift from a friend who is no longer with us for her 1st birthday. My daughter is 19 now. My turtles name is Turd and even when my kids grew up I just could not let him go. I have a younger daughter that is 5 now and she loves him. She feeds him, helps clean the tank, etc. I feed my guy fresh gold fish once a month cuz he really likes the chase, he plays with a ping pong ball that floats around. My guy is about 7 inches round and in Great health. I have him in a 90 gallon tank. I know your turtle is much older but how did he get so big? I was told that mine will only get to be about 6 1/2 inches round.
I adopted one from a friend and he's at least 20 years old. Great pet, was surprised by how much personality and attachment I found. His shell is really dark compared to what I see in pictures or youtube, so I was wondering if that was normal for older turtles or if I needed to work on his diet. Beautiful and majestic animals. Fun to watch them float around like the Nirvana baby with their legs out, very relaxing
Hi, males of this species are getting very dark as they age producing lots of melanin in their skin and shell. My male was almost black in colour while chuchlings are usually very green with beautiful patterns.
Oh my, I love Ninja. He looks so bright and happy. For you to bring Ninja along on your life journey, all these years, is really remarkable. I can tell you have been wonderful companions. Thank you so much for telling us about Ninja. You are very good at making turtle videos. I hope you will continue to share Ninja with us.
I have had my red-eared slider since she was born. She’s has been with me 1 year 1/2. I never knew they good be such great pets. She follows us in her tank all off the time . She loves my husband because he plays with her a lot so she gets excited when he comes in . I just showed her this video and she loves your turtle. She got so excited . Her name is Singer .
My red ear sliders just passed 12 years old. They are extremely relaxed around people. Their main diet is pellets, dried shrimp and a little bit of watermelon. I live in Hong Kong
Mine (his name is Hermel) is only a year old this month, saved him from the pool. I’m 55, so I’ll need to put it in my will lol. Then I just found an itty bitty teensie tiny a couple days ago, on the pool cover being tossed around in rain water from the wind. I hope to find it a home but it’s soooo cute!
We adopted my red eared slider Arthur in 2007- we think he is aged between 2 to 4 years from that year, now it is 2023 and he is about 18-20 years old! Here's to hoping he lives a long life after researching proper turtle care ❤ 🐢
Thank you so much for showing us your big baby ❤️❤️ I pray for another 31 years even if it’s not likely I hope my two red eared sliders are as blessed as yours 😢❤
Love this video. I'm from Ontario as well and me and my dad have three toed box turtles his is almost 60 and mine is 30 years old. We had them most of their life's. Keep posting! Turtle care info is hard to find
Hey! Awesome! 60 and 30?! Wow.. that is definitely old. I plan on doing some more videos with my Turtle in the near future. Thanks for the support and subscribing!
Hello, I am from Saudi Arabia. I like your video💛. i’m like you. I bought one in 94 “Red eared slider“ and I still have it. in a pond in backyard . I hope one day she’s get over 40s💛
Love ur turtle. I brought my son a slide 22 years ago and he has been scared of her sine she was a quarter size. Her name is chicken. My husband and I love very much she brings us lots of laughs. So glad I saw Ninja have never seen on older than chicken. Thanks for the info. People do need to know before picking up they live long and are very high maintenance. Have a great day.
I work at a golf course in California and we have a huge pond with TONS of read eared sliders living in it. My story is similar to yours I’m almost 31 and have had a tortoise since I was 3. We’re both 30. My girlfriend and I just bought 2 baby sliders, and albino read eared and a western painted slider both the size of a US quarter. Awesome animals and this video was very cool to watch and see how big these guys live and how long they live. Cheers from California
He's beautiful, thats so nice. I recently took in my 13 yr old nephew 2 turtles he got when he was about 4 but now he has no interest for them. I never had turtle before but they grew on me and I grew to care for them very much. It's a little ruff because buying everything they need has broke my budget but I try my best to look for deals. Thanks for sharing.
Had an African pygmy hedgehog for 7 years, and when he passed, I adopted a RES from a friend. He's already 8 years old, but I love this guy. I was surprised by how much personality he has, and have been enjoying my time with him this past year. I honestly find him so cool lmao
Wow I just got a baby 2 days ago, I’m so excited after seeing this, mine is so so small just a little baby, he is the size of a half dollar coin in American money
I live in Ontario too! I rescued a RES a couple of years ago, she is 10 now but she spent her whole life in a 10 gallon tank. They are amazing creatures. She really loves me and loves when I pet her neck. I built a 150 gallon indoor pond type of enclosure for her. I really hope she lives a long long life with me.
You answered I think everything I was wondering why my turtle would sometimes do what she does like basking schedule, wondering what else that she needs etc! Thank you!!
I love your channel, I’m so happy I came across it. I brought a Chinese golden thread turtle 11 months ago, we named him troubles. I love the little guy so much and I hope he gets to give me the same amount of time your turtle has given you… please give us more updates about ninja whenever you can 🙏
Ninjaaa.. I've gifted my 4 years old son this turtle last year n named him Ninja but use to call the turtle ninju ninju.. he is probably now 1 year old n I was. Shocked when saw his growth.. So I began to look for some info about this and saw ur video.. It is adoring seeing he is walking n u putting him behind, and he moving fwd again, n u carry put him behind, so it goes until the video ends.. It's so lovely seeing u both and I hope my Ninja will be like your Ninja in another 20 years at least, grow together with my son, Ohm Baby (Mahathru Kalkhi).. ❤ Love for you both..
My mom bought my little brother a turtle even though he didn’t want one. Then my sister took over his care because I was too scared of him. But then she moved out so I was left to care for him. I don’t even remember how old he is, probably 10 years old. I recently began building him an outdoor habitat because he’s too big for his aquarium. It’s still in the beginning stages but I’m so excited to have him explore his own space. I will bring him in for extreme weather but I just know he needs his space. He’s super chill and responds to me tapping my leg when he’s outside. lol his name is Leonardo (yep, big TMNT fan here too)
I am glad you have him. I known turtles can live really long time. 🙂 I heard some turtles can live up to 100. I really hope he does live up to close to up like that.
Ninja is BEAUTIFUL!! THANK to FATHER GOD in HEAVEN that your Beautiful 🐢 Turtle is still alive!! He's GORGEOUS! I have a Red Eared Slder and it's a female. I named her after me; I gave her my middle name. Her name is Doreen. I LOVE ❤ Doreen my Beautiful Turtle 🐢. Keep on loving and caring for your BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS Turtle. I enjoy watching 👀 your video. Take Care!
My baby girl is abt 23 yrs old. Had her since i was 17 and looking foward to many more years w her. She is such a bundle of joy for my family. 😊 and yeah it all started from TMNT lol
I bought 3 red eared sliders in 1993 for my daughter and we still have them, and more. They live in a large pond at home. They’re incredible creatures.
This is a really neat video! I’ve had my RES sense I was 3. So far I’ve had very simillar experiences to yours! Looking forward to the day I’m 30 and my turtle is still alive and kickin’.
I see a comment mentioning a turtle being nearly 70 years old I've seen numerous other mentions of them reaching 70 but none of them confirmed. I wish you both a long and healthy life also have a slider here lovely amazing intelligent animals
In captivity they can reach up to 70-80 years but like any living creature that depends on multiple factors. But yeah Turtles and Tortoises can live a long life. Hell me and my wife have it that should our Red eared slider and our Russian tortoise outlive us they go to either my daughter or my eldest Nephew.
I have one that is around 12 years old named Squirtle. The turtle itself is easy to take care of, the chore comes in changing the water, moving the tank around, and affording the size tank, heat lamps, and filters you will need. They are very hardy, but do appreciate variety of foods. I rotate through three different kinds of foods, and supplement with veggies and fruit, and the occasional earthworm or small bites of chicken or beef.
Got my slider like 5 months ago. He is very cool. I love feeding him in the morning and dinner time..he will come right out of the water to check things out so awesome
Its claws, size, and tail sure look like its a female, but after 31 years, you think he'd have seen an egg or two. That's how I found out mine was a female 😂
I have a 22 year old female yellow belly. Her name is Hadward. Hadley after my 1st grandchild and Edward after my deceased father. She's enormous. Anyway, thanks for sharing Ninja with us.
A beautiful female red ear slider, she is still growing as they can reach up to 35cm and 40plus years of age in good conditions. Males are a little bit smaller up to 22cm with long front nails and quite long thick tails. Thanks for posting.
I have a red eared slider that this 1st of June will turn 22, I’ve named him Yoshi as the Mario Bross dinosaur, he is a fast runner, whenever I take him outside to get some sun at my yard he literally runs after me contradicting the expected from a turtle, he likes me to caress the bottom of his head, even close his eyes, I hope that we still share many more years together
I'm 36 and I have a RES.shes about 28-30, I originally named my turtle James then later Jamie once she laid a few infertile eggs and ate them. Jamie is 10 inches long. Turtles are far from bland and boring. Having a turtle is like owning a Dinosaur. Turtles have been around millions of years with few changes if any. RES are durable and can adapt to colder conditions . For great information look into the Garden State tortoise channel, The Turtle Den,Dan the turtle man, turtle girl are all great channels
An ex-boyfriend gave me a baby red eared slider for Christmas in 1990 when I was a senior in high school. She was about 3 inches. She’s a piggy wiggy to this day! She’s huge now. She went to college with me, was with me when I graduated and went to grad school, was with me when I married and became a mom, and is still with me! I just turned 50 and this Christmas will be 33 years together.
I am extremely interested in getting two red ear sliders and I have been doing loads of research and found your video of Ninja. I watched thoroughly, I do have a Bearded Dragon and know about basking and UV Lights. I am excited to have found and watched your video. Ninja is absolutely ❤️ beautiful.
I just burried my red slider turtle. We got her when she was 1 week old and a quarter in size. She lasted with us for 28 years. She was a great turtle. She would of lasted more but she caught pheumonia. If you are planning on getting one, They need large tank to move in and a basking bridge and basking light to heat them and the light to help their shell to absorb vitamin D. Because they are not outdoors in the sun, they need these special lamps. Zoomeds is the best turtle pellet food for them cause it has vitamin D3 and calcium for their shell Whereas the other foods don't. Make sure it says vitamin D3 this vitamin is vital in their diet. Make sure their water tank has a warm water heater thermometer because they need warm water all the time or else they go into hybernation mode and wont eat and they get sick with pheumonia. That is what happened to mine. I hope this infomation helps.❤
This is so cool. I have one that's 30 years old, similar story I was obsessed with teenage mutant ninja turtles. My Dad got him for mewhen I was 6 about 1993. So cool t9 see my kids play with him.
pls show us both your summer and winter set up . we have had ours for about 15 years and we are always looking for new ways to set up our very large indoor pond. thanks for your video.
I've had a red eared slider for 19 years, I used to feed it veggies and pellets mostly and I thought it was a male, but about 6 years ago I went on a carnivore diet and I started feeding the turtle only raw beef (because that's what I had), and then I found out it's a female because she's been laying eggs every summer since going on a meat diet (which also tells me this diet is more healthy for her than veggies and pellets. She used to be ravenous all the time before, but now she gets full from meat and can go for a day or two without food and without begging me to feed her wheneve she sees me like she used to before). She's very healthy and well behaved. I keep it outside and it fasts all winter, I bring it inside if it snows heavily but that's very rare where I live.
I have 3 sliders, 2 belize and 1 red eared slider all a year old. your comments help me figure out their sex finally lol. Also very interesting to see their full size. Gotta start saving for that mega tank lol. mine were also like the size out a big coin, now 6 inches.
We just found a baby red eared slider. My son Leonardo named him Raphael. We are trying to learn as much as we can before we decide to make the commitment to keep him or if we will release him into the canal behind our house. So far we may keep him
Bro I am from india love from india❤ I am also having a red eared slider turtel he is 6 years old and doing well by the way ur turle us is amazing which has lived lots of year by ur care
I had my turtle for years and his name is Micheal Angelo. I begged my mom for it and her name Michelle so I tried to make her feel special lol. But only Ninja Turtle fans knows the truth. 😉
I just got done watching your video. As someone else commented, I believe that Ninja is likely a female, based on its size. My family's red-eared slider died last week. She was 51. My parents bought her and a male in 1971. The male died in summer 1994.
If anyone wants one of these, get a tortoise instead. They are so much easier to take care of. I have had a Russian tort for 16 years. She literally is like a dog. No dealing with water which is the biggest issue. I feel like these turtles do best in a pond.
Came in to see if anyone, or everyone was like "Yo, Ninja is a girl". Aside from learning after 31 years that He is a She, she's got good shell size and shape, and has gotten to 31, you've taken good care of her.
I have a Red Ear slider and She is a big turtle I had her since a baby and She sleeps with my dogs in their cage 😂and doesn't eat much. Comes out only when she wants to eat. She's very friendly😊 and her name is Ninja too😂
I've seen a post that the two Red Ear Slidders Cuff & Link from the movie Rocky are still in the possession of Sylvester Stallone & that's almost 50 yrs ago
We have red eared sliders here in ny they actually survive the winter they go down into brumation and come out in the summer they’re very sturdy animals like little tanks lol I have been raising two for 10 years aswell
I just got my red eared slider back from my Dad after finally getting a setup at my house. The turtle was bought before I was 10, so we are thinking he's about 29 t0 31 as well. It's been so long that we forget when we got him. They are awesome animals, but they can be a lot of work to the unassuming.
My red eared slider is 34 years old and I'm 47 years old his name is grouchy pouch my slider will live forever I want to show you a picture mine still looks great he is great and very affectionate! I leave my slider out all day and only put him in his tank to eat for an hour or 2
I am far from judging, but i think she is a bit too fat! Anyhow, you probably know better, since you managed to keep her for 31 years, it's just my observation, but it may be alright! My Redslider unfortunately died outside in the pond, which was absolutely heartbreaking, because i LOOOVED it and still love the species! Your advice is very valuable since many just underestimate how big they can become! Great job for having her for so long and i am pretty sure you love her a lot and I am glad she had such a livetime already! Very nice animal
I recently became an caretaker of a 15 year old red ear slider. I have spent a good sum of money for the recommended size but I also haven't seen many as old as "Shelly " he's not as big as he could of been he's been living in 20 -40 gal tank for much of his life and I witnessed his first tank he could swim in his 125 gal tank. I would like to see ninja enclosures so I know what I need to do.
I have a 22 year old red eared slider turtle I’ve had since I was 18, I’m 40 now and he’s super tiny and stopped growing a long time ago but his vet says he’s totally healthy and fine
my turtle died today...she was 35 years old...I was socked..I couldn't believe..and I still can't...I don't know whether to bury her or leave her in a natural lake...since she never experienced a natural lake......😔 she was with me since I was a baby...we lived together for 35 years..I still think she was the prettiest turtle
I’m sorry to hear that. My deepest condolences to you. It’s never easy losing a pet - Especially one that you have bonded with for such a long time. Hang in there….
@@aquarium.talktv thank you,....I didn't sleep nor eat all day and today I must burry her....I just needed time with her although she is gone from her body....I can't believe I will wake up and not see her eyes again....I hope she knew how much I loved her...
Hey everyone! Check the description. I am aware it’s a female red eared slider. I know fish, but I am learning reptiles 😂. Thanks everyone for the love and support.

My red-eared slider of 30 years just passed away last month. It was a big loss for me but I'm glad of the time I got to spend with him from childhood right up to adulthood.
Sad story for turtle fans :(
im so sorry for your loss that's what I'm afraid of about our 34-year-old turtle raphael,
Thanks guys. Just appreciate the time you have with your turtle right now while he's here with you.

I love the little guy so much and I hope he gets to give me the same amount of time your turtle has given you… please give us more updates about ninja whenever you can 🙏
Thanks for watching!! Super happy you enjoyed the video
Wow, that was great! What a great thing to have had him since you were two!
That’s amazing. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Mine is about 25...I would love to see Ninja's set. up!
He’s super chill and responds to me tapping my leg when he’s outside. lol his name is Leonardo (yep, big TMNT fan here too)
Ayyyyy!!! Love it
I am glad you have him.
Take Care!
Thank you for the compliments and most importantly, thank you for taking the time out to watch.
My baby girl is abt 23 yrs old. Had her since i was 17 and looking foward to many more years w her. She is such a bundle of joy for my family. 😊 and yeah it all started from TMNT lol
That’s awesome!!
I bought 3 red eared sliders in 1993 for my daughter and we still have them, and more. They live in a large pond at home. They’re incredible creatures.
That’s amazing isn’t it? Awesome. Glad to hear.
This is a really neat video! I’ve had my RES sense I was 3. So far I’ve had very simillar experiences to yours! Looking forward to the day I’m 30 and my turtle is still alive and kickin’.
That’s amazing. Hopefully you enjoyed the video and subscribed to my channel.
I see a comment mentioning a turtle being nearly 70 years old I've seen numerous other mentions of them reaching 70 but none of them confirmed. I wish you both a long and healthy life also have a slider here lovely amazing intelligent animals
Yes I don’t think that was confirmed as well. Thanks for watching!
Great video!!!I have one that’s 2 and your video was super informative
Thank you I honestly appreciate it. Hopefully it’s worth you subscribing to the channel
I got one that I’ve had since 1994 she’s a female had her ever since still kickin too love her
Got my slider like 5 months ago. He is very cool. I love feeding him in the morning and dinner time..he will come right out of the water to check things out so awesome
amazing!! Thanks for watching. Hopefully
I earned a subscribe! 😀
I love that you both are with each other this long. I have two and yes they are fast lol
Thanks for watching Dana! Hopefully i earned a sub!!
@@aquarium.talktv you're welcome and yes you did
Wow. Ninja looks so healthy & active. Mine little bit smaller & 4 years old :)
Looking for the video of Ninja’s habitat!! Cant wait to see it!
My son has a baby one he's had for years and he wanted another one. He picked it out they think it's a girl she's 12 inches big. He so happy..
That’s amazing! I love to hear it. Thanks for watching as well
What a beautiful turtle!
I have two map turtles that are 10 years old.... but wow 31 years old is truly amazing and i hope my two have 20 more years left in them and beyond.
My father has his map turtle. I think he’s around 9-10 as well. They are turtles, they’ll outlive us lol
My slider is 20 years old!! Thanks for sharing 🙂
PS.... Surprise!!! Ninja is actually a female.
Thats what im thinking 😄
Its claws, size, and tail sure look like its a female, but after 31 years, you think he'd have seen an egg or two.
That's how I found out mine was a female 😂
I have a 22 year old female yellow belly. Her name is Hadward. Hadley after my 1st grandchild and Edward after my deceased father. She's enormous. Anyway, thanks for sharing Ninja with us.
No problem! Hopefully I earned a subscribe from you!
That's amazing, awesome!
Thank you!!!
i've had for my dog since i was 12! i turn 28 in february!
Wow, 31 years so special x
It really is
A beautiful female red ear slider, she is still growing as they can reach up to 35cm and 40plus years of age in good conditions. Males are a little bit smaller up to 22cm with long front nails and quite long thick tails. Thanks for posting.
He’s so cute !
Thank you! He’s loved.
@@aquarium.talktv I just subscribed . I made another comment below about my turtle on another thread
@@soyicasweet99 Thank you for subscribing!
He is absolutely beautiful 💜
Thank you very much. He’s very important to me.
Omg !!! Thank youuu!! That gives me hope for my 4 year old slider 🥹
Thank you for sharing,we have 3 RES’s,upstate NY
mine just passed away yesterday at 11 years old, i dont know how im i supposed to live without her :,(
I’m very sorry for your loss. That’s terrible.
very awesome Turtle 😮😮
Such a cute Turtle
I'm 36 and I have a RES.shes about 28-30, I originally named my turtle James then later Jamie once she laid a few infertile eggs and ate them. Jamie is 10 inches long. Turtles are far from bland and boring. Having a turtle is like owning a Dinosaur. Turtles have been around millions of years with few changes if any. RES are durable and can adapt to colder conditions . For great information look into the Garden State tortoise channel, The Turtle Den,Dan the turtle man, turtle girl are all great channels
That’s awesome!!
Mine is 6 years old I’m glad to know he might live up until I have kids or grandkids
That’s amazing! I’m glad you still have her!
He's awesome.
Thank you!! Hopefully I earned a sub
Bro, this is such an awesome video!
Thanks for tuning in Gabe!
1990年爸爸送给小男孩的礼物🎉真的太棒了
I am extremely interested in getting two red ear sliders and I have been doing loads of research and found your video of Ninja. I watched thoroughly, I do have a Bearded Dragon and know about basking and UV Lights. I am excited to have found and watched your video. Ninja is absolutely ❤️ beautiful.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Awe that is just so beautiful and awesome! Looks like one I use to own such a beautiful baby
This is so cool. I have one that's 30 years old, similar story I was obsessed with teenage mutant ninja turtles. My Dad got him for mewhen I was 6 about 1993. So cool t9 see my kids play with him.
thank u again for shareing
Thank you for watching
pls show us both your summer and winter set up . we have had ours for about 15 years and we are always looking for new ways to set up our very large indoor pond. thanks for your video.
I keep it outside and it fasts all winter, I bring it inside if it snows heavily but that's very rare where I live.
we have a 55 year old RES in our family. My personal RES is 19.
That’s amazing!! Wow.
I have 3 sliders, 2 belize and 1 red eared slider all a year old. your comments help me figure out their sex finally lol. Also very interesting to see their full size. Gotta start saving for that mega tank lol. mine were also like the size out a big coin, now 6 inches.
I have mine in a large stock tank now. Cheaper. Can get them from your local tractor supply. Best option in my opinion.
Thanks for watching! Thank you for the compliments
@@aquarium.talktv 🙏
I had my turtle for years and his name is Micheal Angelo. I begged my mom for it and her name Michelle so I tried to make her feel special lol. But only Ninja Turtle fans knows the truth. 😉
100% they do! I appreciate you tuning in. Hopefully I earned a sub!
Please make sure to like this video and subscribe!
I just got done watching your video. As someone else commented, I believe that Ninja is likely a female, based on its size. My family's red-eared slider died last week. She was 51. My parents bought her and a male in 1971. The male died in summer 1994.
Absolutely. I have a pinned comment addressing the female point.
32 now. And yeah 100% I also put it in the description of the video
I have a Red Ear slider and
She is a big turtle I had her since a baby and She sleeps with my dogs in their cage 😂and doesn't eat much. Comes out only when she wants to eat. She's very friendly😊 and her name is Ninja too😂
That’s amazing! Fellow Ninja
I've seen a post that the two Red Ear Slidders Cuff & Link from the movie Rocky are still in the possession of Sylvester Stallone & that's almost 50 yrs ago
That was actually fake believe it or not. It was proven to be fake, sadly. As much as I wanted it to be true.
We have red eared sliders here in ny they actually survive the winter they go down into brumation and come out in the summer they’re very sturdy animals like little tanks lol I have been raising two for 10 years aswell
Yeah they are adapting and it’s wild. Thanks for watching the video by the way!
I just got my red eared slider back from my Dad after finally getting a setup at my house. The turtle was bought before I was 10, so we are thinking he's about 29 t0 31 as well. It's been so long that we forget when we got him. They are awesome animals, but they can be a lot of work to the unassuming.
Long life ninja with bless of lord❤
My red eared slider is 34 years old and I'm 47 years old his name is grouchy pouch my slider will live forever I want to show you a picture mine still looks great he is great and very affectionate! I leave my slider out all day and only put him in his tank to eat for an hour or 2
Now that’s amazing!
I have 3 turtles. The first one I got, when I was 9 years old. This guy has already 23 years. Second one ist 22 and last one - lady - she is 13. 😊
Amazing dude I love it
I have a 22 year old red eared slider turtle I’ve had since I was 18, I’m 40 now and he’s super tiny and stopped growing a long time ago but his vet says he’s totally healthy and fine
That’s awesome!!! So nice to see people keeping their turtles.
Hi enjoyed the video, how often do you feed and could you post a video of its habitat?
Thanks
my turtle died today...she was 35 years old...I was socked..I couldn't believe..and I still can't...I don't know whether to bury her or leave her in a natural lake...since she never experienced a natural lake......😔 she was with me since I was a baby...we lived together for 35 years..I still think she was the prettiest turtle
@@olgagalaziou5138 she did. My condolences to you.
