Some people clearly don’t understand the rules of the game. Mitch McGovern bumped vandermeer off the ball and front on as he was running not in the play. This is NOT the sort of footy i want to be watching! ET
So many times this season players have just been allowed to drop the ball while being tackled. It doesn't feel like umpires are actually looking to reward good tackles anymore.

Does any one think that maybe the afl dictates to the umpires how to officiate each game depending on who’s playing, when and where? This happens quite regularly in the NBA. Referees have been instructed how to call a game for the sake of a players and or a teams status to encourage fan numbers and revenue.
I think you're onto something here Lee. I'm convinced the umps favour the team that is losing to even up the game for the sake of numbers (of eyeballs on TV screens that is) and the $$$$. Ad money, etc..

I half agree, but I also feel like the umpires COULD have called these the other way.
2:05 how is that not a touch?
The hands were already wiggling before the ball got anywhere near it
You missed every other call that was made.
Quite a few of these aren't even bad, but overall this season has been a shocker
Reckon it was Port's last game of the season, Byrne-Jones I'm pretty sure, makes a twenty metre chase down beautifully, opponent drops the footy, "play on"
U could put Errol Gulden tackle against Bulldogs that was called a push in the back when it should’ve been ball!
Just Geelong being looked after as usual
No

I cannot wait for the 2023 version 😂
The league and other fans don’t like it when Collingwood win. Gotta say I’m loving this tho 😂
I appreciate the umps have a tough gig, with the one eyed fans, the abuse on and off the field, the constant scrutiny, but this video could have been 40 hours long with the clangers I have seen this year.
Umpires have been shocking lately like with Melbourne and Brisbanes last game how stupid
not very nice are ya
been looking forward to this
Chad Warner took 16 steps after the bounce. Good call.
This video could never possibly be controversial 🫣😂
Petracca tackling McGovern in the protected zone
Some people clearly don’t understand the rules of the game. Mitch McGovern bumped vandermeer off the ball and front on as he was running not in the play. As well as the Shai Bolton being tackled by Neale, great tackle and would deserve holding the ball of Shai ever had prior. His attempted to dispose of the ball as soon as he got it and if he can’t dispose of it he never had prior.
You're right Mate, people don't know the rules...... that's cos' every frigging year they[AFL] add, tweak or change the rules! In 50+ years of following AFL, i can't recall a single year without some sort of BS rule being applied. As you can see from this vid the shambles & inconsistency that are at play now & effecting the outcomes of the results of the game! AFL football is a fiasco, a joke...... a cluster f**k of rules! This is NOT the sort of footy i want to be watching! ET
Funny how Geelong is on the end of four strange free kicks which resulted in goals for them. I wonder why.
And they're only the ones we've seen here. Goodness knows how many more that weren't featured here.
How is the touched one shocking
Cause it wasn’t touched their was another angle that he nerve showed it was a clear gap between his hand and the ball
@@Mythsandstorys bro how the finger bent back
@@Wheatbix165 was clearly black magic bro. Broad sold his soul so that the tiges could get Tarranto and Hopper in. This is just a side affect
@@Wheatbix165 it didn't but ok
So many times this season players have just been allowed to drop the ball while being tackled. It doesn't feel like umpires are actually looking to reward good tackles anymore.
The 8 grand finals I have seen my team CARLTON win in my lifetime I never complained about the umpiring once lmao. Can't wait for the day when the old Carlton and Collingwood rivalry happens again in finals I miss that.
That will never happen because Carlton just can't seem to make the finals.
didnt know you went for CARLTON
Mason Redman on Jack Ginnivan
Video idea: AFL ‘Put The Finger Up’ Moments
Love hearing the pies fans upset 😂
BT the sook joining in
best commentatorer to grace the game
Love the vid mate
you havent even watched the video yet??
You could make a 6 hour compilation of all the crap Geelong get away with
THE AFL NEEDS TO DO "SOMETHING" ABOUT THIS
Good vid. The only thing it did though was make me furious. Worst one I think was the holding the ball non free Ess Suns, closely followed by Freo Saints debacle and deliberate out of bounds. Go Pies.
It seems to me some umpires have a love affair with the Cats which started when Ablett was playing. Some also have a down on Ginnivan.
The umpiring the Collingwood Geelong final is some of the worst I've ever seen. Umps have their members in the rectories of Geelong for sure
Still haven't seen an actual bad call from that game yet
There should be a million videos like this cause umps always make bad decisions
Papley pushed Moore in the back tonight, no free!!!
Cost the Pies a goal/Grand Final spot 💔
Disgraceful 🤬
The saints/freo one is so bad its actually hilarious 😂
McGovern was too far away from the ball to put a shepherd on. Good call.
Does any one think that maybe the afl dictates to the umpires how to officiate each game depending on who’s playing, when and where?
This happens quite regularly in the NBA. Referees have been instructed how to call a game for the sake of a players and or a teams status to encourage fan numbers and revenue.
100%
I think you're onto something here Lee. I'm convinced the umps favour the team that is losing to even up the game for the sake of numbers (of eyeballs on TV screens that is) and the $$$$. Ad money, etc..
Mate you forgot to put the whole 2022 season in the video 😂😂
the whole umpire team photo 🤣
