I wish Urban Decay would move away from their incessant Naked palettes. This is a wasted opportunity. They could have taken this Wild West palette and expand it to a whole new line and collection. A wild west bronzer would have been cool and matching eye liners, all with that rainbow snake skin design would have been SO MUCH BETTER

SO TRUE! I felt that the Wild West name is veering away from NAKED and maybe they should come up with a new line. Nothing wrong with the Naked line, it's just too becoming random.
Yesss! That would’ve been super awesome. They do have a whiskey eyeliner but Tex would be a really cool eyeliner color as would Ghost Town

They should’ve made a mini in this palette. The five deepest shades only.. I don’t waste my money on palettes that I’d only use half the shades anymore..
I was thinking about the same thing. The first 4-5 shades are not gonna show up and I can't justify paying so much just for half of the palette
Are you deeper skin toned? I'm just wondering, because, to me (and who am I), but to me, it seems that even though I have those first five shades in many other palettes, I would still like them because then I can just use one palette and not have to open another one for the perfect cream or transition shade. But I'm super light so, that's why I asked because you may not be able to wear them. Idk.
@@calliew311 Yes girl, only half the palette would work for me.. So, I’m passing on this one.. I have over 80 eyeshadow palettes so I really don’t need it either..😂😂 I’ve looked at my collection and I can dupe this color story at least 10 times over..
It’s VERY IMPORTANT to mention “not eye safe”. These people just haven’t been hurt by it yet or they’re young and feel invincible. THANK YOU for being a stand up gal! People need to be much more concerned what they’re putting on their bodies.
Not eye safe doesn't mean not eye safe, unless talking about glitter. When talking about pigments it just hasn't been tested by the FDA and in other first world countries, it's already been tested and safe for the eyes. The prob is here, if one company pays for the testing, then all the other makeup companies can use that result and say it's eye safe too, so no one company wants to test these pigments, because it's legal to just use Not Eye Safe on packages, and no one gets to use the test results you paid for. Lame but true.

On the eye safe issue, this is the first time I’ve heard that and almost every Beauty UA-camr I watch mentions it like you do. So you aren’t alone in not knowing. And I do think you should mention it if it’s on the package.
I actually really pay attention to the “unsafe for immediate eye area” warnings because every time I’ve used for example a juvias place palette that had several shades that were labeled as such...I had severe reactions. Eye swelling, itching, irritation 🤷🏽♀️ so I actually don’t get why people say it’s no big deal
It's labeled that because usually it's a pressed pigment and not eyeshadow. The reason people say it's not a big deal is that the only reason it's not done here is because once a company gets those pigments tested and it's safe, it will be safe across the board, meaning, every other company would get the benefit of the one company that paid for the FDA testing, and no company wants to do that.
But some people are allergic to pigments. I'm guess you may be one of them. I never had a problem with anything, pigments or glitter... then I got a Palette two Octobers ago, and I put on my shadow, never read if it was eye safe or not since I'd never had a prob, and within 15 mins of me being done with my makeup, my eye was watering and kinda burning, and I had to take off my whole, fresh face of makeup. So now, although I'm still really lucky, I do realize that some people just can't use certain shadows, or pigments.

If the shades were more like the packaging....... I’d think about it.

I was expecting Midnight Cowboy too, but I don’t think they added it in bc they’ve gotten so much backlash for always repeating shades. I read somewhere that every shade in the palette was new, which is nice! I mean they’re trying to listen to their consumers :)

I love your review on this. I appreciate the live swatches of palettes other than colourpop. And I trust your integrity on this cuz I’ve seen past reviews and I know you’re not a big fan of gold shadows so the fact you enthusiastically commented on the gold color really shows your truthful in how you feel.

Shae... I feel you girl. I had a seizure disorder, and I say had because I have been seizure free for 15 years. Have faith, stay positive, it will happen for you. I had to remove liquor and had to set up a sleep schedule to help. I hated taking the meds, but you will be ok and I pray you will get off them as well. 💜

I don’t normally comment on videos but I am a long time subscriber. I felt compelled to comment due to you opening up and sharing your struggles with us. I have been suffering with depression and anxiety for a bit now, and while I’m on medication and doing much better, I also really want to have a child. I understand the frustration of trying to find other solutions to your medical issues in order to start a family. Some days it really feels like their is no solution to the problem so I really appreciate you sharing with us. I hope you’re able to find a way to push through everything!

Urban Decay is my favorite brand (hello - Naked Honey!!!), but I was NOT excited about this palette. And then I watched this video. The gold! The shimmery brown! The matte teal! I have to have it! Thank you for doing these swatch videos. It really helps us to see what the colors really look like. Urban Decay owes you a big thank you because you sold me on this palette.
As someone else that has seizures I feel for you! Sometimes I think finding the right meds and the recovery after the seizure is worse than the seizure itself. The anticipation of having one and the side effects that comes with the meds and the seizures just sucks. I hope you find a solution soon and anyone who is a real fan will totally understand when you have to be gone.
Oh girl I feel you sorry to hear that 💜💜💜💜💜💜 I like that you share because it's being human and relatable. I have also been taking so much meds these past few months ago had a head injury that messed up my mind and body meds for my mood and seizures :/

I appreciate when people say that something is not eye safe. I am someone who benefits from the knowledge. My eyes are super sensitive and anything I have every owned that say not eye safe burns the crap out of my eyes because of the pigments that are used.
People need to calm down a realize that just because it doesn’t bother you, doesn’t mean that it is okay for everyone!

Though I think where the issue comes in on the other end is that people think the catchall "not safe for immediate eye area use" means it's toxic or literally not meant for eyes. With a little research and common sense folks would see that it's almost always just because of staining or a glitter warning and the product is most defintely a perfectly normal eye product. "Not eye safe" etc doesn't speak on the actual ingredients for each product/shadow individually. People should be checking for ingredients, not an outdated and very vague/misleading disclaimer most due in part to to lazy US cosmetic legal upkeep. I think we can be transparent whilst also being factual. Everyone wins, no one's eyes are watering, and people are able to know the facts without fearmongering sensationalism.
I have talked myself in and out of this palette so much so appreciate the live swatch video as usually helps my decision. I think I’m going to give it a go!
You do not owe anyone an apology for being honest. You are not required to like everything you try. I for one appreciate your honesty. Half the naked palettes I love and half of them I do not at all.

Subscribed! Just got this palette and was on the fence, you’ve convinced me to keep it. I was iffy about the shimmer shades because they were so flaky but you’re right using the wet they are so pretty. The mats are kind of chalky when you finger swatch them but are so gorgeous and blend so nice and the eyes

Have you tried any butter LONDON nail care products? They are natural and nourishing. Even the nail polish is very high quality. No harmful chemicals.
Went to SD a few years ago for the first time. My grandma was born and raised there on a farm. It was so fun to see the land where she grew up (in Hot Springs). South Dakota has way more to offer than expected!
I FINALLY got over my Stardew Valley obsession. I have never been as hooked to a game in my life! I was playing 8 hours a day and staying up until 2am. My husband heard you talking about it here and he started laughing because I was so obsessed. Once I hit 230hrs of game time I finally got less obsessed. The mines are the best and I think the game developer knows that. That is why there are so many of them. I literally bought 12 bouquets so I could give EVERY single person in the town. I choose Abigail because I like how she bobs while playing her flute when it rains, its the cutest. Sorry to hear about what happened last week but I am GLAD you are doing better this week :)

I am actually really liking this and I rarely say that about an UD palette! What’s even better is the names and vibe really remind me of the year my family spent in Rapid City! I am so, so hoping to move back!
From one chronically ill sister to another (my issue is recurrent blood clots in both legs, both lungs and my brain - 18 confirmed, more suspected - thanks to an aggressive and incurable genetic disorder) who has failed on literally every med I’ve ever been given, and has so much daily pain in my most-constricted leg that we’re having to pull out the big management guns to maintain any kind of quality of life, you are so not alone in your struggles. I think I can speak for everyone, health problem or not, when I say just please take care of yourself. I totally understand your desires - I was told flat out when I was diagnosed I’d never be able to have a healthy pregnancy, and that something that almost 15 years later still gets me - so I hope everything equals out for you soon. I had no intention of buying this palette, but love watching you do this, and clicked on it quickly. Many thanks and much love.

I’m sorry to hear about your seizures. My mom had a stroke 4 years ago and she has to take 4 seizure pills a day. She’s only had one seizure and that was in the middle of Walmart, which was absolutely terrifying. I can’t imagine what living with epilepsy and the threat of seizures must be like. I usually can’t stand the naked palettes but I have to say I was super excited for this one! And I was able to do a teal look with it and the shadows blended so seamlessly. & of course good luck on your TTC journey! ♥️
