That was brilliant! I have been using the Franklin planners in the classic size for 20 years now and wanted one in turquoise but they wanted over $100 for it...I found one at the thrift store for $2.00, but it doesn't have many side pockets, so this will be great. I love the way you make it usable to open from both sides...I am thinking this would be a great way to do an envelope system for budgeting -- cash on one side, receipts on the other, with a folder for each category. Love this. Thanks so much for posting!

Marylou Gomez I don't have a Midori myself, but my husband does! You can definitely use this method and adapt it for a midori, just use one of your MTN notebooks as a guide and draw out the outline for your folder as I did and cut to size!

Traci Reed Great idea, although I will say I have been using the same folder for months on end in various planners and it has held up great, no issues yet! I think if you use a quality file folder as your base, they tend to hold up nicely!

jadie nguyen If you are using a Filofax style 6-ring planner, I suggest this 6 hole punch, goo.gl/qz8rF3 but if you would also like a single hole punch, I believe the size is 1/4 inch Hope this helps!
