    Omg.. thankyou very much my phy teacher taught me and i really could not undertstand why waves starts getting buched up when it comes closer to the observer doesn't a wave has a fixed frequency right from where it originates so why it changes.... you explained it ! thankyou very much

    in a sonic boom, why do you hear two 'blasts' rather than one?

    For sonic booms, at the speed of sound and at super sonic, when do you hear the 'blasts' in relation to the object passing you?

    A jet plane often creates two mach cones (one at the nose, one at the tail).
    But you may also be hearing an echo.

    so in the case of a fighter jet is the sonic boom always happening ? what I hear will be a different boom from a person say 1 mile away from me ?

    So would the pilot not hear the sonic boom? :o whoa

    • @fiddlhead
      @fiddlhead 10 років тому +1

      no, because they are moving with the plane, so the rings of sound (sound waves) dont build up in the same way they do to a slower or stationary object.
