Atlee may copy from other movies, but trust me, he will present the movie which satisfy each and every category of people...that's the magic he works with SRK
There is difference between copy and inspiration …baki copy bhi karo ta aisa karo ki acha lage …for example dhamaal …whole movie was copied from different scenes of different moviws …but it was done so good that it created positive vibes in us

Srk is killing this year. Reminds me 2004 phase where he gave 3 iconic films all in same year.
Compared to all the old SRK action film trailers, the Jawan stands alone captivating the audience at first look. The Tamil director ATLEE has encompassed the shades-of Talapathy Vijay film vibes and Aniruth drum beats bring on the bang to another level. Cinematography and editing is top notched and VFX is more believable compared to other SRK films. The last bald SRK is a good glimpse to see SRK taking a leap of faith on getting into character. His last dance to an old Hindi music plays looks teasing the audience “ you want more come and see the film”. That’s a good one. Let’s see how a South Indian Tamil film team made SRK’s Jawan a hit film for this year🎉
I think Atlee made mixing of 2 films by Vijay - Theri, and Mersal cause some of the scenes like him throwing a guy out of Glass wall seems similar
more than action masala, Atlee has the capability of bring real emotions on screen, if it works, film will be hit for sure.
Always a Top Analysis. I considered the voice-over of the Prevue To have struck the perfect metaisms we the audience needed.
The trailer is too good that it reminds me so many good movies.

This is like a spin off of Sankar's Shivaji the boss. The decoy of the main character with hair is blown up in a bus and he is transferred to a place where he becomes Motta boss. The transformation from Shivaji to MGR and splash of Moonknight
Where he take it to ? He takes us through a reminiscing journey of all over our favourite cinema experiences. That's how great Atlee is, I can pay for 1 movie and get the experiences of watching many of my favourite movies !

I've had declining interests over Atlee's filmography so far.
Loved Raja Rani and Theri. Totally.
Loved the flashback scenes and interview scene in Mersal. Hated the rest.
Totally hated Bigil.
Hope he delivers a banger without cheesy scenes.
Hnadling hero elevation scenes, mass dialogue scenes are always tricky. The margin is so small between what works and what doesn't.

I am just saying this but a video on South Indian cinema's cliches and major movie tropes will be very much appreciated by many north Indian fans who doesn't knew the industry very well
Really getting into all the hype for this movie, same was for pathaan, pathaan did well but don't want this movie to be on similar lines, basically expecting viewers to enjoy sharukh and keeping our sensible brain outside the theater.
Well, knowing how atlees films look like, i can say it will be different from pathaan...(apart the action scenes)

Raunaq i seriously always admire your efforts man for every video but despite you spoke seriously it made me laugh through out till the end maybe i might be taking atlee's movies very seriously. I agree with the Tarantino's reference you've mentioned but the difference is that guy mentions from where the scene is inspired from and this guy doesn't so that sound like inspiration
Mouna Raagam itself is a copy .. err.. inspiration from Nenjathai Killadhe. .. luckily for Mani, those days there was no social media ..
And Theri is mostly based on Chatriyan..

@Raunaq Mangottil 2:32 bro there is a difference between referencing a scene / shot and referencing a plot. ATLEE is doing the latter (which is not completely wrong), and that's kind of taking a negative toll on him, atleast in the south side.

if you watch the prevue you can see "Nari Shati" at 00.07 board at railway station platform. Looks like the movie is about women empowerment. Also the prison looks like something non government type.

I was honestly screaming with excitement for a Hindi movie after a long time.
Confused and worried for Bawaal but definitely excited for Jawan.
Bawaal reminds me of Dunkirk, while Jawan gives me a lot of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises vibes. SRK looks like a collage of Bane, Harvey Dent and The Joker.
The bald and bandaged face of Bane when he was in prison.
The masked look with a salt and pepper hair is like a mixture of The Joker and Harvey Dent. Even the prison scene.
They've either made DP a South Indian or the wife of a South Indian, mostly from TN.
The police angle also reminded me of Pokkiri.
With Bawaal I can only hope he doesn't end up being a Hitler sympathizer or Hitler himself (:

Out of curiosity. I'm an American who's had some familiarity with Bollywood over the last few years. Most of the films I've seen starred Aamir Khan, but have decided to explore SRK. So far I've seen DDLJ, K2H2, Dil SE, and am currently watching Mohabbatein. I plan to watch Main Hoon Na, Asoka, Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham, My name is Khan, Om Shanti Om, and Chak De. Can anyone recommend more SRK films?
Also, I was interested in subscribing to Zee5. Would anyone recommend this?

Great video as usual. Just one thing though - Theri was more inspired from Chatriyan than Baasha. I agree with you and I think Atlee gets too much flak for inspiring classic when even those classics were often inspired, such as Mounaraagam is very similar to Mahendran’s Nenjathai Killathe, Apoorva Sagotharargal plot would be very similar to Moondru Mugam. It is the conviction and sincerity with which these movies are made and packaged into an engaging one is that matters. Yes, it would be even better if he acknowledges and gives right credits, but can’t deny he is talented.

SRK was born in that cell/ jail/ prison where women are detained. Later he becomes an Army officer in the future. Something terrible happens to the women in that cell(probably VJS controls that cell/hijacks it/ might kidnap a few detainees). SRK trains a few girls(Singapenne 2.0) and deploys them to bring back/ rescue those girls. In between, the film might have a tragic portrayal of JAWAN(concerning his profession). Then he makes a comeback/ revival from the undercover era, then moves on to the mission of rescuing those girls/ women. :) This is the plot, ig!

I'm just wondering what if north stars collaborate with South Indian tamil political directors like vetrimaran , mariselvaraj , pa Ranjith They always proved their films are profitable and making box office hits through karnan , asuran , sarpatta they have great stories based on real life or books and novels and great screenplay which doesn't get audience bored they're pure entertainers and new !

Firstly, the trailer looks amazing. The cinematography, action set pieces, bgm and SRK, everything looks amazing. However, the story from the teaser feels like a mix of Mersal, Citizen, Indian and Shahenshah. I feel like SRK might be donning two roles of a Father and Son. Deepika might be his wife who was somehow killed by the goons or she was jailed, gave birth to SRK jr in the jail and everyone must have thought the SRK Sr was dead, also she must be from that village which also might be in trouble and SRK Sr is now back for revenge and SRK Jr is trying to stop him and they finally team up. Also, I can't ignore the resemblance between SRK's mummified look and Shishio Makato of Rurouni Kenshin. These are some of my thoughts.
And I am pretty sure, though Atlee lifts sequences from other movies, he will deliver a wholesome powerpacked whistle worthy film

South Indian movie trailer always end up showing full movie. In RRR they showed Ram's climax scene and in Jawan Deepika's cameo and SRK'S blad look got revealed.
I don't know why they don't keep this kind of exciting moment in the bag.

My speculation of the JAWAN story : I think it's it's gonna be something like SRK is gonna play an older version at the beginning of the movie who might come off as a bad guy misleading us to believe he is evil... and even his son (young srk) who had become a police to be with his imprisoned mother... So we will see the young srk go on a journey to stop to his ex-soldier father... who has gone rogue! But at some point Deepika's character reveals how Vijay Sethipathi's character in the past had plotted against SRK's father and as a result was demonized by the entire country and even his wife( Deepika ) was put in jail so close to the climax after realizing the truth instead of fighting with each other the father and son unite to fight against Vijay Sethipathi's character. 😛🙌
