Setting Up A Hobie Tandem Island

How I setup my Hobie Tandem Island on my trailer before I go to the lake. I put most of it together at the house. When I get to the lake, I just put on the sail, the seats, and stretch out the trampolines, then back it into the lake.

The whole time I am watching this I am thinking all the tips you are giving are your lessons learned from past experience. You learn a lot when you do stuff like loading up your Hobie and putting it into the water.

Thank you for mentioning the new ama locking mechanism. I was searching for a way to improve the bouncing amas and you solved that problem for all of us!

@@JimYarkin yeah, that locking mechanism works a lot better than the bungee cords. The only advantage to the bungee cords is that they are attached to the kayak, so you can’t accidentally leave them at home. I just throw mine in the cupholders when I take the amas off, that way they stay with the kayak.
